3.6Bottle. Bought Dec 2017; BB undated; Drank Jan 2018 - Hazy pale yellow gold in colour. Medium foamy white head. Good lacing. Very fruity; tangy citrus lemon and grapefruit, peel. Yeasty; light brett, barnyard. Malty; pale malts. Moderately sour citrus fruity yeasty throughout. Quite dry. Tart fruity finish. Easy drinking fruity sour. (2018-01)
4.0Hazy yellow pour. Floral nose with some grass or hay. Taste adds sour to nose. Enjoyed with a handful of blackberries.
3.6Aromat mocno dziki, brettowy a także cytrusowy. Jest nuta która zdecydowanie kojarzy się z piwami kwaśnymi. A jednak w smaku totalny brak kwaśności.
4.0Not a fan of Brett or spurs but this is tasty
4.1St.Bretta!!! Top!!! Again!!! Brauch dringend ein CS-Shirt ;)!!! 355ml FlaschenWunder von BEYOND BEER in HH!!
3.3Bottle from Beer Republic. Slight hazy golden color, medium frothy head. Aroma is soft spicy, bit flowery hop, just a hint of funk. Spicy in taste, some grainy wheat. Where is the funk? And the perfect balance in complexity? Its more like a boring belgian wit meets blonde. Disappointing for the series.
3.1Bottle shared by Caesar @ tasting. Hazy yellow to light orange color, medium sized white to off-white head. Smell and taste lightly malts, floral, blossom, a bit thin bodied, thin texture, a bit saison-ish. Hmm very unimpressed by this compared to previous beer I've had from them.
3.61oz bottle. Poured a golden color with a white head. Citrus, some lighter brett / funk, and some earth.
3.6bottle.
clear yellow, white head.
super dry bretty aroma with hints of citrus. real nice crisp aroma.
flavor is very dry and quite bretty, with fruity and citrussy notes, the notes resembles those you might find in a belgian tripel.
Tastes a lot like a belgian, could easily have fooled me.
3.9375 ml bottle. 2014 vintage. Pours a lightly cloudy gold with a small white head that settles into a ring. Notes of bretty funk, orange and lemon citrus, white grapes, stone fruit, herbs, apples, some oak and vanilla, and a late acidic sharpness. Light-bodied, with modest carbonation and a tart, funky, fruity mouthfeel. A little citrusy acidic burn in the aftertaste but otherwise an easier drinking sour.
3.9Bottle from Brewers Haven. Label says Citrus Saison and is 5.8% ABV. Not sure if this is the same beer. Lively pour, tons of fine carbonation keep head thick and fluffy. Aroma is grainy and dusty, light citrus accents. Taste goes for Saison flavors, yeast, dry lemony notes. Not tart at all. Pretty sure this a Saison with Brett.
3.8(Bottle) Cloudy body with large, disappearing frothy, white head. Aroma of wheat, meyer lemon, tart. Sour fruity flavor; lemon, sour apple; sweet malt. Creamy body, moderately carbonated.
3.9Can as St Bretta Citrus Sasion, and this is the closest to that. Light golden yellow pour. Some barnyard, yeast and citrus in the nose. A little grass and hay. Exactly as advertised, a nicely bretted light saison with a touch of citrus to liven things up. Another one I could drink a lot of. Great price at $3 a can!
4.0Bottle, shared with Parksy. Hazy pale yellow with a lively white head. Lemony and funky, with herbal and spicy undertones. Light but complex, and just extremely enjoyable to me.
3.7Lightly tart, musty brett, drinkable citrusy witlike thing. It’s pretty tasty, but there are other versions I’ve preferred.
3.3Majority of a 12.7 ounce bottle, consumed on 7-19-17. Labeled April 2015, presumably a bottled on month. Gusher; automatic minus 1 point from overall score. Nice, strong, fruity, juicy, Brett aroma. Really nice, yeasty smell. Orange scent. Pours a cloudy, mustard yellow. Very large amount of beige head. Nice color and head, but head is excessive. Dry, chemical, mineral, tart taste. Citric tart, not sour / bacterial-tart. Spice, grapefruit, lime, cinnamon butter, and cinnamon toast. Chemical flavor. Bitter finish. Soft in the palate. Undercarbonated (carbon escaped in the form of head. Aqueous in the palate. 8.3.7.2.13=>3.3
4.0December 29th, 2014 - Pulling again from the luxurious end of the storage cellar, tonight I am enjoying a selection from Crooked Stave, one of my essential pilgrimages whenever I get back to the States. The Citrus Wildbier promises a bucolic romp around a field of flavors, and it delivers admirably. Golden straw in color, the bouquet flirts with the nose, suggesting fuji apples, wildflowers, white peaches, pear and the slightly more bitter note of pear skin. Tangy and sharp, the Wildbier Autumn’s acidity is sharp up front, but drops off quite quickly, splashing down into a rich palette of tastes. The sharpness of a fighting, angry peach mixes with a touch of rose, or maybe Iris, cascading even further down into milder citrus notes of tangerine and orange. And is it warms the Autumn takes on new flavors, with more herbal notes blossoming in the temperate spectrum. Spongecake and rosemary appear here, and even a touch of creme brûlée. And the whole sojourn restarts again with each sip.
3.8A nice brew. Lots of citrus notes with a heavy focus on the sour palate. Brief aftertaste. Nice.
3.7Bottle at Hopaholic - In Hop We Trust, Budapest. Hazy golden with soapy white head. Very fruity aroma with notes of apricot and citrus, quite spicy, a bit soapy. Bitter, sourish and spicy flavor with notes of apricot, citrus (orange), herbs, a bit salty. Light to medium-bodied. Nice, kind of saison.
3.5Bottle shared at hopaholic. Hazy yellow colour, small white head. Nose is peach, strong camomille. Taste is low bitterness low sourness. Camomille in the taste as well. Might be checkin the wrong one, but barcode said so. Camille tea.
4.4Bottle: Poured a pale yellow color ale with a huge white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of coriander with nice citrusy notes is quite enticing. Taste is a superb mix of coriander with citrus notes and light tart notes with light spicy yeast undertones. Body is light with spritzy carbonation which really fits well with the style. Nice level of complexity with super great drinkability. Probably one of the best beer that I have tasted form this brewery.
3.9Bottle. Murky golden yellow with an average white head. Aroma is sour berries, apple, pear, and citrus. Taste is full on sour citrus. Grapefruit abundant with lemon. Lactic acid abundant. Biting at first that full and dry. Good beer.
