4.0375ml bottle at home. Light hazy golden orange color with white to off white head. Yeasty aroma, citrusy fruity, funky, bretty, barnyard notes. Sweet and light acidic taste like aroma. Light to medium thin to oily body with soft carbonation.
3.6Bue en bouteille de 375ml. Nez acide, brett. Attaque acide au palais. Arômes citron. Bel équilibre.
3.5Clear copper color with a very small head. A bit flat mouthfeel. The aroma had typical bretts. Overall refreshing and funky but mostly citrus and green apple. Not bad at all.
3.9Bottle @ Craft Clerko. Golden pour with a small white head. Nose is quite fruity. Plenty of citrus, mandarin orange. Fresh peach juice and nectarine. Taste is similar. Honeyed nectarine, pear juice. Meyer lemon acidity ballasted by a bready body. Easy drinking. Pleasant.
3.5375ml bottle. Slight hazy gold. White head. Aroma is fruity in a kind of citrus, melon rind, papaya kind of way. Taste again is citrussy, slightly sour and a bit herbal. Decent sourness, decent fruitiness, but I think I’d take a more standard wit over this.
3.9Pours a hazy medium dark Amber color with off-white head. Brett, citrus fruit, and some tartness on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes tart and dry with some lingering fruit notes.
3.7Pours a pale amber hazy body with a thin head. Nice hayish aroma with citrus tones. Fresh and very nice taste of flowers and summer.
4.1Pours hazy yellow low head
Aromas of sour green apples, garden branches, citrusy fruits, bretta
Taste has bretty notes of green apples, garden, herbs, citrus
3.1Bottle. Pours a hazy light orange colour with a short white head, aroma is all orange, taste is sharp with citrus and has some sour hints, dry sour finish.
4.0Hazy golden yellow in color... Aroma of light citrus, brett, funk, fresh cut orange... Flavor is lightly tart and citrusy, brett funk, oranges... Great beer
3.4Bottled. Pours hazy, yellow with an average, white head. Aroma of yeast, citrus, funk, wheat and coriander Slightly sweet flavor that ends up dy and tart. Light to medium bodied, oily to watery texture and soft carbonation. A very nice Brew.
3.9Bottle, thanks guys for sharing! Hazy yellow pour with a tiny head. Nose has coriander, citrus peel, wheat, lemon juice and fresh oranges. Taste has orange juice, coriander, bitter bretty notes, citrus zest and some floral notes.
3.9March 9, 2015. Bottle at home, batch 5 , 2014.
Cloudy orange with a small frothy white head. Aroma is tart citrusy, coriander, brett, barnyard, funk and some herbal notes (rosemary). Taste is tart citrusy, light sweet ripe fruity notes, barnyard. Finish is medium dry with citrusy, juincy tartness. Medium bodied, average carbonation.
3.7Bottle thanks to Vestergaard.
Pours light yellow with a thin white head and some good ol’ greeeease.
Aromas of citrus, floral notes, straw, lots of brett, orange, coriander.
Taste is citrussy, orange, coriander, brett, floral, straw, hay.
3.7Pours hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma of coriander, straw, sweeter wheat notes, citrus, hay, floral notes and some weak funk. The taste has notes of coriander, orange, stable notes, nice tartness, citrus and nice peach kinda component. Also some wheat here. Decent and refreshing.
3.737,5cl bottle. Pours a slightly hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is very floral witbier like wheat, corianders, spices, slight pepper, some funk, hay. Taste is crispy sour with some very grainy notes to it. Almost some corn as well. Big contrast to the aroma. Juicy fruityness and overall a pretty light beer. Medium carb and light body.
3.9Bottle. Surprised I haven’t rated this beauty before. I know I’ve had her once or twice. This bottle says navel oranges. Pours murky golden brown with small clearish white head. Notes of Brett, orange funk, red grapefruit juice, blood orange, creme and a slight cereal oat finish. medium bodied with a salivating and juicy finish.
3.6Bottle. Pour is cloudy orange with a small quickly dissipating white head. Aroma is funky and lambicy with a light sweetness. Would not have guessed there was citrus in here based on Aroma alone. Flavor is tart and funky with light fruity sweetness. Finish is a little buttery with a bit of tartness. Just a faint hint of citrus pokes through as it warms. Full bodied, not quite as clean as I was expecting.
4.3Bottle from Beverage World thanks to JR (2014, Batch 4). Pours a hazy deep yellow/orange color with small head. But the aroma is great: lemons and oranges, and the taste is very smooth but tart. Citrus and tarty. This is a really great tart beer.
3.42014/Batch 5. Opens up with only a little psscht, uh-oh. Pours a clear golden with a thin white head with big bubbles like it was undercarbonated... That thin head still leaves good lacing, though. Nose is of cheesy funk, Cherrios (TM) and fruits. Taste is moderately tart and offers those weird breakfast cereals again along with some nice citrusy (pink grapefruit-like) flavors. Body is light and carbonation too. Pretty sure this bottle is problematic and not representative at all. It is still drinkable but I’ll need to revisit. For now it tastes like a green beer to me, a green and not mature yet sour that is.
3.9Pours clear yellow with a light white head. The aroma has citrus, spices, light cellar must, light wood, caramel, oaky vanilla, smooth orange and a buggy side. It has a medium crisp body with lots of fairly sharp carbonation. The flavor starts with crisp spices, bugs, citrus, some sourness and a bit of cellar mustiness (age or intentional?) . The finish has lots of peppery spice and orange showing through. Really nice.
4.0Better the i remember. Amber color with wispy head thats probably held back by the citrus. Aroma is nice orange, funk , wet wood, and lemon. Taste is bright sharp ctirus tartness, some tanic bitter wood funk and mild fruity sweetness. Great.
4.2375 mL bottle from The Hop Yard, Raleigh, NC (2014 Bottle, Batch 5). Hazy yellowish orange pour with a short white head. Aroma of lemon zest and oranges mostly, with notes of white peppercorn and ginger. Taste is much more tart than anticipated (not that I am complaining) with refreshing citrus sourness upfront and more subtle oak and sweet notes on the finish. A really nice sour witbier.
3.6(Bue en fût sur place): Des agrumes au bouquet étoffé dans une soupe minérale et épicée. L’acidité est modérée et la finale un brin herbacée.
4.0Aroma of citrus, lactic sour and funky sour. Taste is the same with some woody oaky flavors in there too. Sour is maybe 50/50 lactic and funky, but has enough lactic to be quite good. Orange citrus really come through in the finish with lactic sour and some funk. Another good one from crooked stave, but still like some of their others better. But a very good beer.
4.0A really great beer. Pours a pale yellow with a ring of white head. Aromas of horse blanket and sour citrus. Flavors are white wine, lemon, funk. Snappy and sour. Really good.
4.0375ml bottle pours a golden orange color without much of a head. Medium sourness, nice citrus.
3.950cl bottle. Amber body with small off-white head. Aroma is medium sweet, lemon, Brett, some funk. Taste is medium sweet, lemon, some funk, light wood. Light-medium body, light acidity.
