Curim Gold

Curim Gold

Inspired by an old Celtic word for Beer, “Curmi/Cuirim”, this delightfully refreshing wheat beer echoes the Celtic heritage of the region where it is brewed today.

Curim has a higher hope rate than the mainstream wheat beers which leaves a slight tart residue, enough to balance the delicate fruity flavours of peach, banana and plum.

2.5 Pours almost completely clear golden color topped with a relatively small white head. Very mild aroma, some fruity notes, some wheaty notes. Later on some caramel notes. Taste is sweet and fruity at first, some wheat and caramel notes. Very moderate bitterness in the finish.
2.2 Copenhagen 1/7 2016. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh. Ø. Yellow label with something that looks like a blob of snot - or another kind of gunk and some celtic ornaments. Pours slightly hazy yellow with small white head. Settles as thin layer of foam. Aroma is sweet and malty. Honey, grains and wet paper. Not especially strong. Medium carbonation and watery palate. Flavor is thin and watery. Medium sweet followed by sourness. Aftertaste is short and sour. I’ve tasted way better beers from Carlow. This is the tongue out of the window.
2.5 Bottle at Appellation Wines tasting. Clear golden body with a thin white head. Aroma of honeyed malt and straw. Flavour of grain and lemon sweets. Thin body with a watery, slightly oily mouthfeel. Soft fizz. This doesn’t taste of very much.
2.5 Bottle at appellation. Pours clear golden, nose is floral, toffee, taste is bland toffee, soapy.
3.1 From bottle. Pours hazy gold. Grapefruit, hay, sour apple. Taste is smooth, refreshing.
2.6 Bottle at Comely Bankers III. Clear golden. Nose is quite unpleasant honeyish sweet, malty. Taste is quite light, sweet malts, caramel. I dont really like this.

2.4 Smell: malt, fruits, hops & herbs. The taste is dominated by bitterness. Color: amber with white head.
3.0 Bottle from a collection pack from the airport. Very short white head. Opaque golden color. Strange hop aroma that resembels raw tobacco. Mild spicy taste and söim body and small but hard bitterness.
2.8 Butelka 0,5l Kolor złoty, mętnawy, piana szybko opadła i zostawiła samotne piwo bez piany. Aromat słodowy, nuty owocowe. Smak lekko ziołowy słodowy, słodki. Na finiszu lekko wytrawne ale pozostaje słodycz.
2.5 0,5 l Flasche. Goldgelbes Bier, weißer, flacher Schaum. Leicht getreidig im Aroma und Geschmack, relativ langweilig.
3.4 Botte at home, golden beer, small head, aroma is wheat, some yeast. Taste is wheat and yeast, some sweetness with bitter, somewhat fizzy. ok beer.
3.2 Unusual banana esters means it has a Thai sweet basil nose, and a noodle ‘n’ morning glory taste. Might be good with Vietnamese food? A pretty flat, bland body and finish.
2.4 500ml bottle. Slightly hazy golden colour with a small smooth white head. Aroma is mostly wheat, a mild maltiness, grains. Strange taste for a weizen, the wheatiness is very raw, with some yeast, hints of stone fruits and hops but it doesn’t do much to improve it. Not a great wheat beer unfortunately.
3.1 Sample at Örebro Öl & Whisky 2015. Mild smell, malty, bready and fruity. Similar taste. Mild and not that fun, but refreshing.
2.8 50cl bottle. Dark gold color, average white head. Grainy aroma with light hops, light fruity notes. Light body, flat taste, watery finish. Very simple.
3.3 Bottle 0.5 l, EPI, Wrocław, Poland. Jasnozłote, mętnawe piwo o puszystej i gęstej pianie oraz raczej słodowym, lekko drewnianym aromacie. W smaku pełne, lekko słodowe, leśne i ziołowe z wyczuwalnymi nutami pszenicznymi oraz lekko wytrawnym finiszem.
2.9 Bottle, bb 28.12.15. Gold beer with small white head, a bit hazy. Aromas of malts, grain, wheat. Slightly sweet, very low bitterness.
2.5 Palr golden clear, bubbly with medium white head. Something like honey in the aroma. Dry medium bitter taste with smoke and herbal notes.
2.8 Bottle 50 cl. Golden color with average foam. Aroma: fruity and floral hops with biscuit malt. Taste: banana, cake, yellow plum, light fruity acidity and hop bitterness.
2.2 Bottle, 4.3%. Clear golden with large off-white head. Aroma is malt, grainy, yeast, fruit and wheat. Flavour is malt, yeast, grainy, caramel, little , spices, medium sweet, little dry, little wheat and a little bitter.
2.8 From 0.5l bottle bought at supermarket AROMA Evidence of wheat malt, honey aroma, cereal and earthy presence, something fruits but nothing recognizable. APPERANCE Clear and pale a bit cloudy by protein, sparkling with a persistent white head TASTE Light swetness, a bit of bitter in aftertaste PALATE Light body, thin texture, frizzy
1.9 No tiene aspecto de trigo, mas oscura y menos turbia. No tiene aroma de trigo, sino de ale y no de las buenas. Y en boca defrauda tambien, con un sabor poco agradable. La casa las tiene mucho mejores
2.7 Bottle from Voldby. Clear yellow with a white head. Aroma is sweet, wheaty, light fruity and light citrus. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Light dry and light bitter finish. 050615
3.3 Bottle. Hazy golden body with white head Aroma is wheat with some sourness and hints of fruits. Taste is also slightly sour with some malts. Aftertaste is bitter and dry. Nice one but no Kristallweizen I would call it a wheat ale.
5.0 Golden, clean Aroma of caramel and hops Palate very good Overall - Very surprising but order me up one and place it on the bar but this is a great beer. The best filtered wheat I have had It reminded me the best Castilian bread, because of its wheat flavour and aroma. This wheat has a nice flavour Nice and straight forward beer. Unusual and refreshing surprise. This best beer i every had one top beers most have
3.5 Draft pour. The beer is a clear gold with a white head of foam. The aroma is faintly grassy and a bit wheaty. Taste is faint, but has a little sweetness. Light body and medium carbonation.
3.3 Clear golden colour, tall frothy head soon becoming a thick film. After that stable. Earthy & dusty aroma with citric hoppy notes. Minimal vegetables. The flavour is highly unlike the style models made by hops. Light to medium bitter, no wheat fruitiness & spiciness to be detected. That’s quite monotonous I’d say. Light to medium body. Thin texture. Medium bitterness in ending. If this should be an Irish wheat ale so let it be. Just don’t call it a Kristallweizen.
3.4 Bright yellow/golden color. The beer is crystal clear. The beer has a sweet slightly bready smell. The smell is simple but good. It is bitter, like a nice pilsner. It also has a special taste, I can’t figure out what. There is also a hint of metal in the back. However, the beer is great. Very nice.
