3.3 Bottle from Carrefour Brugge. Some hazy brown with medium head. Yeasty, nutty, quite round bitterness.
2.7 Beau col de mousse, mais s’estompe très vite. Sucre et alcool dominent avec quelques arômes fruités. Belle étiquette.
3.0 33cl bottle:BBD 19 May 18. Poured into a Westmalle chalice at home on 18 Mar 17. Thought I didn’t let any sediment out, but the glass held a misty golden brew with a few ’floaters’ within: the head was wispy affair and very thin/weak. Peach and sweet orange esters in the nose, semi-sweet fruitiness in the taste. Some spiciness in the flavourings also: different and almost interesting, a little too sweet for it’s own good though. Like a thin, sweet, alcoholic marmalade.
3.4 Bottle shared. Slight hazy golden with big white head. Peach, alcohol, sweet malts, light herbs, dry grassy going into an almost metallic finish. Over medium sweet and medium bitter. Medium bodied with a bit fizzy carbonation.
3.3 Pours hazy dark golden with a medium white head. Aroma is yeasty with some fruitiness and oranges. Taste has some oranges, spices, yeast and a medium bitter finish. Medium body and carbo.
3.1 Love tha label and the beer is not bad either. But not good enough to buy again.
3.5 Bouteille 33 cl - couleur blonde avec une belle mousse blanche onctueuse qui persiste, goût épicé et fruité, vraiment agréable à boire
1.5 Beer pours hazy amber with a head which almost immediately disappears. Very sweet taste of liquorice, orange peel, sugar and hops. Feels quite unbalanced. On a sidenote: very bad label design which suggested it might be a Kriek due to the red cauldron’s cherry-like appearance.
3.7 ....................................... .........................................
3.7 Unclear light amber. Frothy off white head. Lots of orange/tang and orange peel. Some darks fruits. Mild peppery. Caramel. Interesting. About 15 months old.
3.5 Bottle from Feb. 2015. Sweet, fruity, orange peel, carbonated taste. A little tang, something
2.8 22 December 2018. De Garre, Bruges. Cheers to Madoc! Rerate of this little Belgian Ale, just because I could. Pours clear dark golden/amber with a huge, collapsing, frothy, off-white head; little lacing. Aroma of perfume, hand soap, lemon, bordering on DEET, overripe, almost mouldy apple & orange, honey, soggy bread. Taste is light fruity sweet, overripe apple & orange again, faintly estery, a bit sweetbread-like & caramelly; light herbal bitter then, tea-like, spicy touch. Dry, herbal hoppy finsh, lingering caramel, orange, perfumey effect, dash of warming alcohol (rather spicy, almost gin-like). Medium body (at best), slick texture, lively carbonation. Disappointing.
3.2 Bottle at home. Pours light hazy golden amber with a white head. Aroma of yeast, malts, light coriander, slightly metallic. Taste is light to moderate sweet, light bitter, malts, coriander, yeast, light metallic undertone. Not too bad.
3.0 Bottle as a gift. Hazy amber colour, white foam. Sweet and malty, maize, light bitter finish. Bit unbalanced. Ok.
2.9 Drunk from 33cl bottle bought from malting pot in Brussels. Enjoyable amber hoppy ale.
3.2 F: off white, average, not long lasting. C: golden to amber, hazy. A: honey, fruity, spicy, malty, yeasty. T: malt, hint of orange peels, apple/fruity, some maize, dry grassy bitterness on the palate, herb/spicy tones, medium body, good carbonation, good Belgian ale with some fruity dry tones.
3.6 Average frothy off-white lasting head with cloudy amber body. Light citrus and caramel hops. Medium thin to oily body with soft carbonation. Long duration flavor moderately sweet, lightly acidic and moderately bitter.
3.3 Amber body, small head. Sweet caramel, candy. Medium carbonation, quite sweet, but tolerable as the carbonation and starting bitterness balance a bit. Very sweet beer overall but sometimes that’s not so bad. (33cl bottle from ABS Drinks)
2.8 33cl bottle shared at The Capital, Leuven. Light amber with a small white head. Light to medium body with low to moderate carbonation. Subtle bitter and sweet tones. Herbs, caramel, malts and fruits. Not too good.
2.7 Light amber, large frothy head. A: caramelized malts, banana, wood snipper notes, boozy. Nothing special. T: starts a bit sour, with almond taste. Develops a mellow bitter, with caramel, banana and bread notes, orange peel. Slightly boozy sensation. Light to medium mouthfeel. Aftertaste is dry, fruity, with banana returning.
3.1 Orange with medium light beige head. Bit sour aroma. Enough sweet, bit not too much, some sourness finishing with dusty bitterness. Dry dustiness staus on the tongue.
2.3 I was expecting a fruity beer with the label on the bottle, but all I had was sugar (not too much, at least) and alcohol. Strong aroma directly linked to the taste. It was nice to discover something new but it’s not a beer I would choose if it was sell in a pub.
2.4 Beer typical of homebrews. Alcohol rather present for its 7 ABV. A bit sweet and very normal.
2.7 Bière trouble. On sent fort l’alcool. Elle attaque directement en bouche. Très pétillante. Bière sympa mais rien de particulier.
1.5 Infumable. La he tirado. Estaría mal? Super agria, fermento puro. Debe estar mal sin duda.
3.3 Notes from early 90s. Bottle. Blonde color. Aroma’s: sweet malts, spices, fruits. Flavor: moderate sweet. Medium bodied. Finishes with a moderate bitterness..
2.5 33 cl bottle at home. Pours a clear bronze colour with a thin white head. The head soon disappears to a thin layer of bubbles. The aroma is neutral to the point of being non-existent. There is maybe some orange-blossom hop. The taste is sweet with very little balancing bitterness. Palate is gloopy, sticky and sweet. There is also a cloying sugary taste of starch. Not undrinkable, I would not bother with another.
Ruikt hop, kruiden, beetje honing. Smaakt bitterzoet, honing, hop. Beetje citrus. Redelijk veel koolzuur.
