4.0Bottle. Dark golden with amber color, good foam. Aroma: floral and citrus, esters, malt, a little spicy, a little wine. Taste: strong, smooth, pure, fruit, malt, citrus, a drop of fortified wine, noticeable hop bitterness, excellent balance.
3.6Cloudy orange colored beer with a good standing white cup.
Low carbonation.
Taste is malty, sweet, tropical fruit, orange, creamy and bready.
TOP! M: Mooie volmondigheid en medium carbonatie.
3.3From 33cl bottle. Pours hazy dark gold with white foam, fine. Aroma is fruity and honey. Body is dense with some carbonation. Taste is predominantly sweet, with some underlying bitterness. Finish is medium-long.
3.7Bottle (from Koht). Pours amber with whiteish head. The head stays. Aroma is sweet, caramel candy, malt. Flavor is sweet and bitter, citrus, caramel, candy, malt. Alcohol is well covered. Finish has some dry citric bitterness. Carbonation is low. Overall: nice and mellow, very good.
3.5Aroma of bitter hops but a little alcoholic. Taste softly bitter, mouthfeel very astringent, nice but noth much more to it.
3.4Bottle - Hoppy bitter and bready notes. Cloudy gold with a decent white head. Bitter hop notes and a long finish. It bad but bittering hops dominate.
3.0330ml bottle (thanks UJH). Hazy orange color. Small size, white head, stays. Fruity, sweet, lots of Belgian yeast in aroma. Fruity, grainy, some coffee, Belgian yeast in taste. Fruity and herbal in aftertaste. Soft carbonation. Solid brew.
3.9Barwa pomara?czowo miedziana, zmetniona. Piana bia?a, wysoka i trwa?a. Zbudowana z drobnych i kilku ?rednich p?cherzyków.
Aromat owocowy, pomara?cze i brzoskwinie, a dalej delikatna s?odowo??.
Goryczka do?? intensywna, zio?owo przyprawowa.
Wysycenie ?rednie, dobrze komponuje si? z nieco g?st?, mi?kka faktur? piwa.
3.2A murky amber ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, sweet caramel with light sulfur notes, oxidation, resinous character, still pleasant. In mouth, a sweet caramel malt with light maderized notes, resinous citrusy hops, troical fruits...must have been good fresh...BB Aug 2013.
3.7330ml bottle BB Mar 2018. Clear amber with nice sizeable white head. Aromas of caramel, stone fruits, Belgian yeast notes, a little alcohol. The taste has a toasty and toffee malt character, apricots, some tangerine, melon, floral notes, some earthy yeast. Medium bodied, a pleasant carbonic bite, some booze. An unexpected pleasure.
2.9A warm, spicy/herbal taste with a gentle taste of hops. Fairly dry, but smooth, not much of a taste of alcohol despite the ABV. Overall a pleasant, easy beer to drink.
3.4Quite some yeast in the bottom of the bottle, resulting in a hazy pour. Heavy foam. Bread in the smell. Slightly above average hippy bitterness. Bread with some cream and a little banana.
4.0Pours light muddy orange with a super-lovely, creamy white head. Super duration and lovely laces. Aroma has apples, grapefruit, grass, crisp malts and mild esters. Highish carbonation, dry and fairly light oily palate. Fat, crisp maltiness at first, then fresh grass, pine, grapefruit, floral and light peppery hops. Lovely floral dryness in the finish.
3.4330mL bottle from International Beer Collector. BB September 2017
Dark gold body, creamy white head.
Moderate intensity nose; gets better as it warms - toasty sort of malt, hop notes of woody/pine, grass, stonefruit, some spice in there.
Full body, kind of sticky, boozy, creamy carbonation.
Body delivers a fair malt sweetness, some orange rind, stonefruits, spice, wood. Bitterness rather high, lingering, drying phenolics & booze.
Nice flavours but not quite here nor there - stuck in "Belgian IPA" limbo land.
Aspect : orange limpide, mousse blanche abondante. Arômes : orange, pin, pamplemousse, fruits tropicaux (mais lesquels ?). Saveurs en bouche : fruits, épices, résineux, caramel. Finale assez dure avec moyenne amertume. Moins bonne que d’autres DDVDK !
2.8Aus der Flasche getrunken (Weihnachtskalender von Saveur Biere). Trübes Braun mit leichter Schaumkrone. Milde Hopfennoten dominieren über die Malzigkeit.
4.1Piana średnia i gruba, obfita. Barwa pomarańczowa, mętna. Aromat chmielowo pszeniczno estrowy - trochę cytrusów, trochę ziół, banana, kandyzowanej papai i brzoskwiń.
4.5A: Tropical fruit, malt sweetness
A: Copper opaque body, medium white head.
T: Sweet opening with a lingering biterness (maybe too sweet?)
P: medium body, very creamy, lively carbonation, slight bitter finish
O: Nice surprise very good !
4.1Neblig trüb, fast milchig gar. Dunkelgelb nahe der Bräune. Üppig würzhopfiges Aroma, der gerstig/getreidigen Sorte. Weissweinverweise!?
2.2In the glass light aroma of cloves. Rather flat with stinginess. Bitterness dominate the other thing which may have something to do with cow urines.
1.9Arôme beaucoup trop faible. Jolie mousse. Forte amertume qui masque tout le reste. Floteuse. Pas agrable a boire .
3.5bomber @ Party Source / Bellevue KY --- Clear dark amber color, fluffy off-white head that stays at one-finger, sheets of lace. Cut to the chase: this is a light IPA. Semi-sweet malt moves through medium fizz to a lightly hopped finish. A comfortable brew, easy drinking, balanced.
3.5Aroma:
Slight aroma of malts, caramel, bread, Belgian yeast, fruit and hops.
Appearance:
Turbid/opaque golden/amber beer with heavy yeast and with a medium off-white head.
Taste/Palate:
Starts medium sweet with malts, caramel, Belgian yeast and fruit; ends slightly bitter and slightly/medium dry with bread and hops.
Overall:
This beer is rather intense, complex and balanced. Both the Belgian yeast and the dry hopping are not really noticeable. Overall a balanced beer, so I guess these guys simply cancel each other out too much.
2.9Keg at six degrees.. Sweet herbal yeasty fruit nose... Big caramel crystal malts.. Soft toffee
3.7Bottle @ Thomas W. thanks.
Fine lasting fluffy beige head. Almost clear solid golden color. Big rough hop aroma. Caramell and some belgian yeast and fruit taste. Well fermented and a dry finnish. Balanced bitterness.
3.5Bottle from the Real Ale Store, Newark. Light hazy amber with a thick white head. Light pine aroma and citrus. Mainly sweet taste with a light bitterness.
