4.0 this is good. a bit more sugary than I'd like but otherwise quite nice. some good light banana. great find in Colombia.
3.8 Poured from 750mL bottle. Hazed gold with small white head. Belgian yeast, light spice, feint floral hops, well balanced.
3.8 750ml @ Alex's shared with Ryan. Appearance: a bit hazy golden with a white head. Aroma: Belgian yeasts and esters. Taste: along the same lines, nice body, good malty body. Finishes with a noticeable hoppy bitterness. Overall: good one.
4.3 330ml bottle brewed in Belgium at 9%. Tangerine colour, lightly to fairly hazed depending on sediment amount poured, with a very generous, very good duration tight white head - classic Belgian OTTness. Dry spicy yeast clove and mellow fruity mid banana chimes sharply with intense aromatic orange and lemon peel merging into grapefruit aromas. Very promising; very Tripel. Moderate carbonation; thick sticky mouthfeel contrasted well with the lightly-foaming effervescence. Sticky orange syrup, herbal and lemon aromatics, creamy banana yeast mid tones. Dark drying clove finish and orange oil aftertaste balances nicely. Top-notch Tripel; though Westmalle's still takes the cake and sets the bar, this is one of the very few that can truly stand toe to toe with it. Punchy and rich without becoming boozy, syrupy sweet and pronouncedly bitter yet with neither becoming unruly. Believe it or not, it's refreshing - pour in all the sediment to pump up those fruity mid notes and make it outright juicy with tangerine and banana! A must-try in my book.
3.9 Draft at the brewery in Brugge. Deep amber color, light haze. Belgian yeast, fruit and spice aroma. Notes of clove, banana, fig. Spicy finish with a little booziness.
2.4 Witte kop, goudgeel, hele subtiel zoete geur, moutige ronde tonen met een lichte bitter. Zeer vol mondgevoel.
4.2 The taste is beautifully explosive, but a controlled explosion of flavors. Here is the perfect picture of bitterness
3.6 2022-05-20. Lightly hazy orange body, modest creamy off-white head fades. 3+ Aroma has bready lightly yeasty character. Flavour has a sweetish core, finishes with an alcoholic warmth. Average plus bodied palate, soft carbonation. Enjoyable. 7/3-4/7/3-4/15 Bottle at St. Veronus, Peterborough.
3.6 0,2 litre, On tap at Fermentoren, Copenhagen. Cloudy Golden with white head. Malts, hops, belgian yeast, sweetness, grain,
4.4 Cudowny, wyraźnie przyprawowy, mocno estrowy, lekko owocowy (dojrzałe brzoskwinie), bardzo intensywny, bardzo pijalny tripel.
4.0 Aroma a banano, levadura, puede tener un olor a pimienta. Color naranja, turbio, espuma alta de corta duración. Sabor a banano, caramelo, algo de alcohol. Carbonatada, Una cerveza muy rica.
2.0 Too bitter
4.2 Pours a deep golden amber coloration with a medium, fluffy head and visible carbonation. Smells of biscuity, caramel malt and floral, bitter hops, as well as some estery fruit also coming through. Taste is a great balance of biscuity, caramel malt and fruity, bitter, slightly floral and resinous hops, with citrus notes of lemongrass and lime peel, as well as hints of estery fruit and spice, with notes of apricot, gooseberry and clove. Finishes with a medium bitterness and some floral, citrus hops and estery fruit lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation. This makes for a very nice Tripel that really seems unique for its rather hoppy and bitter, even slightly resinous, flavor profile, which still stands out at an estimated 10 months old. While it could be argued that the hops are a little too dominant over the esters for the style here, I personally love it, while the focus on esters that are more on the stone fruit and berry side fits the flavor profile perfectly here. Would love to try this fresh, while it still certainly left a lasting impression as it is, making for one of my favorite examples of the style, with the relatively high ABV not being noticeable at all.
4.0 Deep amber, clear, white. Aroma of caramel, citrus, pop corn, varnish. Taste is burnt sugar, caramel, citrus and resin. Complex and drinkable. Wirh ebh and ah at Henrik.
3.9 Belle mousse, amertume forte, alcool ressenti
3.8 33cl bottle from hopt.it, France. Pours intense amber, partially hazy, with a high head of medium grained white foam. Aroma is yeasty, fruity, honey. Body is average, with quite a carbonation. Taste is medium-high sweet, but with a good dose of bitterness in the background to balance it all. Final is fairly long and slightly bitter.
4.7 0,33 bottle. Elegáns címke és kupak. Arany szín, opálos, szűretle, közepes mennyiségű fehér hab. Finom fűszeres komlós mazsolás illat, ami elég intenzív is. Ahogy az íze is. Testes, komoly, zamatos.
3.7 22.10.2021: 330 ml bottle at home, 9% ABV, bb. 14.8.2022, bought at La Mise En Biere, Lausanne. Pours a clear deep golden to amber with a huge frothy white head and some sediment at the bottom of the bottle. The aroma is lightly to medium malty, lightly to medium yeasty and lightly hoppy - sweet grains, biscuit, honey, hay, flora notes, light earthy notes, some fruity yeast notes, pear, spices. Medium to full body with a lively carbonation, a medium sweetness, a medium bitterness that increases towards the finish and hints of alcohol. The flavor starts with sweet malt, biscuit, honey, syrup, bitter herbal notes and light phenolic notes. Finishes with a light residual malt sweetness and a medium earth, herbal hop bitterness along some spices and light phenolic notes. Aroma: 7 Appearance: 4 Taste: 8 Palate: 4 Overall: 14
3.3 Draught at Carlsens Kvarter Beautiful golden colour with a nice, white foamy head. Faint bitter aroma with notes of chestnut. Full mouth feel with a foamy texture. Taste starts mild and balanced before more roasted notes of coffee and cocoa take over until it ends in a nice bitter finish of hops. 3-4-8-3-15
4.0 33cl bottle from a local Delhaize store in Belgium, drinking 3/10/2021 BB 07-06-2023 Pours a nice mostly clear orangish-amber body with good amount of fluffy bubbly slightly off-white foam on top and great lacing. Aroma of belgian yeast, spices, quite fruity, banana, pear, orange peel, ripe fruits, coriander, already a bit boozy. Taste is warm and sweet enough with malt, caramel and yeast, fruity with ripe banana and orange peel, candi sugar, vanilla, floral hops and yeasty bittersweet finish, warm and boozy. Remains unbelievably smooth and drinkable for the 9% abv. Medium to full body and oily texture, medium carbonation. Simply delicious balanced and smooth tripel with great flavours and lots of booziness, great.
4.0 Aroma is intense banana with wheat Clear golden colour with small head Taste is filled with banana, vanilla, some nuts and malt Fizzy carbonation with smooth mouthfeel Like eating a banana! Tasted at skaal with dad and mom
4.1 Pilsner look with short white head. Smell of banana and vanilla. Taste of banana, lemongrass, vanilla and yeast. Very smooth.
3.9 0.33 l bottle from 'Plus' (Breskens), best before June 2023. Slightly hazy, amber with a medium large, foamy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, gently fruity-grassy, slightly yeasty-spicy aroma of lemon peel, fresh grass, white grapes, light banana and a touch of vanilla. Gently sweet, malty, quite fruity-grassy and slightly yeasty-spicy taste of fresh grass, lemon peel, gooseberry, grapefruit, light banana and traces of vanilla, followed by a medium long, gently bitter, quite grassy, slightly yeasty-spicy finish. Medium to full body, quite effervescent mouthfeel, average to lively carbonation. Very sophisticated Tripel, nicely hoppy and fresh, stands way above all those malty and yeasty booze bombs. Those are the kinds of beer which make me still try classic Belgian ones.
4.2 33 cl bottle in La Casa de la cerveza, Madrid. An off-white, thick and long-lasting head sitting on top of a very hazy amber-to-orange beer. Aroma is peach, orange peel, iron filings, malty bread. Taste is very -very dry, the likes of lambic. Full bodied, nice metallic tinges midpalate. Long lingering finish with just a hint of bitterness. Very nice.
3.3 on tap at Civil Pour, clear golden color with no foam served, tasty but overly sweet and a little cloying , finish is ok with some fruit and clove
3.7 Pours slight hazy orange blonde with an almost white head. Slight banana and malty sweetness on the nose.Medium creamy mouthfeel, orange peel, malty alcohol sweetness, hopbitter. A wonderful balance between bitter and sweet.
3.7 A beer I am very surprised to find unrated. Nose is banana, hint of pear drops, lots of spice. Taste is malt, spice, leading to banana and pear drops, brown sugar, cloves, floral hops, lightly bready, and spice in the drier than anticipated finish. Perfectly balanced though more clove than I would like, but this is just a personal preference.
