2.6 Stout
3.5 bottle (bb sept '19 - doh) that pours unclear fairly dark brown with a very nice light beige head offering good retention and lacing. grapey roasted maltiness, fairly peppery roasted cereals, burnt caramel, charred berries, lingering resinous grapefruit, clean mildly fruity yeast action. moderate carbonation, light body - oily; dry if not drying spicy-peppery-resinous finish. good malt backbone but obviously not fresh. still pretty fun.
4.1 A present of my mother, for my birthday, in june 2018, coming from le Belge, at Léman centre, Crissier. Drinking and savouring this beautiful ipa, at home, Lausanne, Prélaz, in july 2018. The body is black and opaque, yeasty with an average carbonation, white and brown foam. In my opinion, it is a beautiful and tasteful black ipa with notes of roasted malt, fruity, a perfect side of pear, coffee, nuts and hop, the knowledge of Belgians with the power of the Americans, giving this lovely product.
3.6 On tap at 100 pív Pours dark chocolate with beige head. Coffee nose. Taste of coffee, citruses on background, light coffee sourness. Good!
4.7 Chocolatey, but not too sweet. Very well balanced flavor. Would drink again!
Fg
3.5 12 ounce bottle in Brussels. Dark brown pour. Some malt and hops but not American in approach.
3.2 Tastes a bit too astringent and harsh for me. The bitterness isn’t a pleasant one, and it clashes with the malt bill. online saveaur bier
3.6 Bottled 0,33L. Dark brown color, beige foamy head of long resistace. Sweet aroma, notes of caramel, coffee, burned wood and cortex. Oily texture, intence bitter/sweet palate, light carbonation, herb and caramel final.
4.0 Almost black color, thick big foam. Berry and roasted sugar notes in the aroma. Good bitterness in the taste. Good balanced, to drink it easy. Good.
3.6 Dark flavours of burnt biscuit, coffee and cocoa. Hoppy characteristics only come through if you're searching for them. Worth a try if only because it's a dark IPA.
3.8 On tap at 100 pív. Black colour with medium beige head, aroma of roasted malt, licorice. Taste of licorice, roasted malt, caramel, tar, medium sweet, medium bitter. I like it but couldn't find much of the IPA portion.
3.6 Vycap 100 pív. Vôňa citrusovo kávová. Farba čierna. Chuť prevažne kava a kakao.
3.6 Bottle. Malty aroma, hoppy notes, chocolate, cocoa, light coffee, earthy notes. Tastes the same as aroma, medium bitter, light sweet notes. Full body, medium to high carbonation, malty bitter finish. Ok.
3.3 Huge thanks to JefVerstraete for that one! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Malty roasty aroma. Starts quite malty, modest dry, some fine roasty-earthy notes. More and more hoppy-dry, with a bitter background. Well balanced finish. Nice one!
4.2 Just bought on a whim and what a find it's packed with Christmas pudding like flavours and delicious malty biscuit toffee after notes I am definitely gone look out for this again
3.4 330 ml bottle in a bruges hotel room. Hazy golden with white head. Wheat notes, grassy, herby and slight floral hop notes with medium bitterness

3.6 Offerte par Saveur Bière, DLUO atteint. Biere brune coca pas très belle. Nez resineux et café malt. Bouche très carbonatée. Caramel café légère amertume résineuse. Pas trop mal.
1.8 Aroma is liquorice and roasted malts with slight fruity hops. Appearance appears black but is very dark brown with a foamy tan head. Palate is medium carbonation with very fine bubbles. Taste is heavily roasted malts, liquorice and yeast. Overall too roasty with little else, not pleasant.
3.9 Robe brune foncée. Très belle mousse beige bien persistante. Arômes alcool café torréfié, un peu métallique. Goût résineux torréfié réglisse café. Encore du métallique. Texture crémeuse, carbonatation très fine et agréable. Dommage quelle soit oxydée. Goûtée à nouveau avec un autre lot. La même, le métallique en moins. Très bien.
3.0 33 cl. bottle @ home, served in a teku glass. Aroma: weak aromas of toasted malts, yeast, hints of roasted malts, flowers, spices, citrus. Appearance: very dark brown color with beige, very creamy and quite fluffy head made of small to big sized bubbles. Medium to high head thickness with high retention and high Brussels' lacing. Too dark to talk about haziness. Taste: low to medium sweetness, low to medium bitterness, low sourness. Flavors of toasted malts, smoked malts, caramel malts, dark dried fruits, caramel, burnt caramel, brown sugar, spices, fruits, alcohol sweetness, black chocolate, cocoa, roasted coffee. Very subtle hints of pine, resin, grapefruit. Very well balanced, more sweet at first and increasingly bitter toward the finish. Palate: medium body, watery to oily and a bit creamy texture, low to medium carbonation, very long dry and sweet finish with low to medium bitterness and low sweetness and the same aforementioned flavors. Alcohol is slightly noticeable through some alcohol sweetness flavors and some throat and mouth warming. Low but noticeable astringency and some acidity from the black malts. Overall: good appearance, weak aromas but powerful flavors of toasted malts, smoked malts, fruits, dark dried fruits, caramel, burnt caramel, spices. Quite weird and too much malt focused for a Black IPA but not bad, quite complex and enjoyable.
3.2 Taster @ beer tasting with Suus @ Taplokaal Gist, Utrecht. Dark brown with an off-white head. Aroma of roasted malts with some hops. Sweet taste. Not really as hop forward as most black IPA's but pleasant nontheless.
3.3 Got by accident but a well integrated version. Hops restrained but add to it. I might even get it again.
