3.9Bottle. Hazy gold with a huge white head. 4 Aroma of grapefruit juice, cracker dough, apricots, coriander seeds. Lots of grapefruit. 7+ Light bodied, highish carbonation. Not as dominated by grapefruit as suggested by the aroma - it’s prominent but sits just above apricots, crackers, white pepper, coriander. Just enough sweetness before the dry and fairly bitter finish to make it elegant rather than austere. Right up my street.

3.6330ml bottle from Saveur-Biere.fr. Pours murky gold with white head. Pale, refreshing citrus with De La Senne’s characteristic bitterness. Nice.
3.9This bottle is way past its best by date, which explains why I got it for next to nothing - I went back and forth or whether or not to rate it, but it’s actually in pretty amazing shape, so I don’t see the harm (that and I still see bottles in quite a few local stores, so this will at least reflect what is still commercially available near me) - pours a turbid straw with a thick, fluffy head - hops in the nose and flavor are still surprisingly fresh, zesty, peppery, citric, with some notes of mango, light mustiness and musk, candied oranges - typical lovely de la senne texture - flavor much like the nose - zesty and spicy hop character, grapefruit, tropical character - some moderate phenolics and slight, bright estery character - great beer, even with the age on it - in fact, I imagine it may have been too bitter for me fresh, as the bitterness is still quite potent.
3.4How: Bottle.
Where: Systembolaget.
Appearance: Hazy golden colour with a white head.
Aroma: Sweet malt, spices, yeast, some citrus.
Body: Medium body and carbonation.
Flavour: Yeast, citrus, sweet malt, grapefruit, a bit floral.
2.9Pure white and persistent, slightly coarse, foam. The smells of spicy hops, wild flowers and yeast. In addition, it has a little specific aroma of sulfur. It is not something I have experienced in a ale aroma before. It smells a bit like the air before a thunderstorm on a summer day. Obviously, it is yeast that has this special aroma and the taste is also anything but thunderstorms. The taste is gentle malty with delicate notes of yeast and fresh grass, grain and clover. Hop bitterness is also gentle and pleasant and contributes little lemon grass that complements its fine malt and hops balance. The finish is dry. Pleasant blonde ale, which perhaps is a little too hoppy for type, but still wins with me because of its lightness and delicate balance.
3.7Yum, a Belgian pale ale in great form. Classic hops, quality development with a fine yeast as not to reveal the tasty hop and pale malt balance. (33cl bottle from Saveur Bière)

Tasty. Very fresh, fruity and crisp, with lots of lovely hops and even some typical Saison notes. A pretty perfect, sessionable Belgian ale and one of the best from De la Senne I’ve had so far.
