3.8Bottle... Pitch black pour with a small, creamy, well-tanned head. Decent retention. The bouquet is a rich melange of chocolate, pouch tobacco and whiskey. Full-bodied with a thick mouthfeel and tingly carbonation. The flavor is a boozy-hot intermingling of black mocha and fudge, followed by lingering, boozy warmth. Bottle courtesy of ctipping!

3.833cl bottle. Slightly aged sample. Shared with Mathieu87.
APPEARANCE: pitch black beer, small unstable beige head.
NOSE: coffee, alcohol, burned malts.
TASTE: coffee, lots of alcohol, malts, herbs, little smoked.
4.5Negrísima, puro petróleo con una espuma color café que no termina por desaparecer y que va manchando la copa.
Aromas a cacao y vainilla. Presencia del olor barrica, pero muy ligeramente. También un fondo ácido, como a manzana.
Buen cuerpo y carbonatación media. Cremosa, ligeramente espesa y oleosa.
Entra suave , hace presencia de nuevo el chocolate, algo de whisky pero muy fino y el alcohol casi ni se nota.
Muy bien compensada, de las mejores añejadas de De Molen que recuerdo.
Embotellada en febrero del 2012.

4.0Color: strong dark black beer with no carbonation and medium brown foam. Smell: cognac, wine, malt complexity, brown sugar, sugar cane and small alcohol nose. 3.4Bottled, febr 2012. Black color, medium lasting brown head. Aroma of chocolat, coffee, bit grainy, hint of grapes, molasses. Apart from the barrel aging, it does have some similarities to a certain Double Oatmeal Stout. I noticed on the label there should be some barrel aging, although it was hard to find out what kind. Not bourbon or peated whisky, more mellow and now that I see ratebeer, it’s speyside whisky. Ok, fair enough. In taste it’s quite dry, some wood and quite boozy. A bit too boozy actually. I can recall I said that about the H&V misto as well, but this one has aged for over a year, so it cant be that it’s too fresh. It’s just too boozy.
4.1Bottle courtesy of Colin. Dark brown pour with a tan head. Whiskey aromas. Effervescent and maybe a little over carbonated. Dark roasted malts, whiskey, and coco notes. Good lacing and mouthfeel.

4.1Deep midnight black pour, 3 finger coffee coloured head. Nose is oatmeal, creamy lactose and vanilla. Lovely bourbon notes. very little roasted coffee character. Sweet and chocolatey, no bourbon burn, the 12% is barely noticeable. Wow. great job!
4.2Great beer! Pours a black beer, hazy liquid with a minimal brown tan head.It smelled like chocolate coffee and roasty. It tasted like coffee and chocolate, dark fruits. Light bitter and sweet. Rerate. erg moutige geur. Smaak blijft erg lekker. Iets te veel carbo zelfs.
3.9Bottle. Pours pitch black with a big creamy mocca head. Aroma is tremendous, with nice burned malts, liquorice, tobacco and peat, as well as coffee and lots of dark fruits.
