4.3Cloudy orange colour, medium white head. Hoppy, citrus and piny at the end. Fresh and clean. Carbonation is very good. Nice IPA.
3.9Tap at In De Wildeman. Tropical fruit and bitterness with a touch of de Molen, always a joy. Backlog from 2014/05/15.
3.9Bottle at the Spotted Dog, Birmingham. Bright yellow, big froth. Yeasty, floral gum hops. A gobful of sweet smacking lick chop. Nice.
3.6Vintage 2/21/2002... Malty caramel, dried fruit (apricot), leather, aged floral/earthy hops; amber orange color, airy beige head; nice combination of sugary maltiness (dates, caramel) and a nice aged hoppiness (dried citrus peel, earthy, slightly herbal), mild tobacco and leather, moderate sweetness; medium body, smooth, still a good level of carbonation, a bit slick on the tongue; the label indicated that this would only be good for 2 years from the brew date, but I would say that it’s holding up quite nicely for being over 13.5 years old and it’s become more of a light barleywine.
3.4This one was a gusher. Hazy amber with huge head due to the overcarbonation. Aromas of flowers, peaches and mangoes with some bready malt. The taste has apricot, pine, a little grass, lemon and fresh bread. Hop bitterness is fairly smooth. Light bodied and drinkable. Once over the gushing, this was quite good.

3.2Draught at Åens Bar. High fluffy white lasting head. Clear golden body. Alcohol dominated aroma. Fruity relatively bitter flavor with strong alcohol notes. Low carbonation, long dry and bitter finish.
3.6Bottle from Real Ale Store, Newark. Hazy gold colour with a thick white head. Aroma has citrus and tropical fruit. Taste is mid sweet.
3.5Light blonde with big frothy sticky head. Citrusy hops, grassy, a little yeasty. Medium sweet with a bitter dry finish. Average carbonation, oily. Good refreshing pale ale.
3.7Hazy orange color with big white head. Dry bready malt aroma paired with a nice citrus fruits hopping, hints of some sweeter exotic fruits. Taste is fruity-sweet at first, then the bready malt body is present and a dry earthy-bitter finish. Very soft foamy mouthfeel. An IPA that still has the old world hop profile present, but it fits together.
3.6Pours a hazy orange with a large off-white head. Aroma is malt, caramel, fruit, citrus and hops. Taste is medium sweet leading to a hoppy finish.
3.7bttle - nice poor. fruity, citrus and malty nose. holds up very well. well balanced but still not boring.
3.2Pours wheat like opaque colour with creamy big firm white head.
Aroma without note of an alcohol, with hints of fruity esters.
Flavor is similar, without note of an alcohol, with hints of wheat, fruity esters (citrus, oranges).
Malt sweetness is medium high, hop bitterness is medium. Body is soft, carbonation is medium
Proper, but very average IPA.
3.5Bottle from St Albans beer shop, St Albans, Herts. A hazy straw coloured pour with a healthy white head on top. Hoppy, malty, caramel aroma. Tastes similar, hoppy, malty, caramel, slight sweetness. Incredibly easy to drink, decent IPA.
3.1Bottle. Pours a murky gold with a white head. Sweet, lightly spicy bread aroma. Medium body, full carbonation. Toast, light butter, grass, pine, bread dough, wood... OK.
3.7Bottle from Deeside Drinks Emporium. Hazy golden body with a thick off-white head. Steady carbonation. Nice lacing. Aroma of green mango, caramel and biscuit. Flavour of blood orange, grapefruit and wood. Medium body with an oily texture. Weak fizz. Not a hop bomb, but a well made, well balanced IPA.
3.8Beautiful and a typical De Molen-style IPA. Not that hoppy really, but balanced and with marked notes of fruit and quite complex.
3.8Bottle at home. Pours hazy golden with a bubbly white head. Aroma of hops, malts, light sweetness, peach, tropical. Taste is grape, light peach, light malt sweetness, orange peel, notes of pine, some hops which I’m not familiar with, but works good in this beer. Bitter hoppy finish, which could use some dry hopburn. But all in all, the best IPA I’ve had from de molen.
4.0Orange colour, moderate head. Well lacing. Aroma of resin, citrus, honey, herbs. Medium to full body. The flavour is solid combining caky malts with resiny & citric hops (lots of). Even more hops in ending. A good one
3.9Lekker bier! Lekker goudkleurige en fris. Nodigt uit voor nieuwe slok. Moet koud gedronken worden en lekker in de zomer vanwege zachte smaak. Heel licht bitter.
3.5From tap. Almost clear golden orange color with white to off-white head. Hoppy aroma, citrusy fruity, grassy, light pine, light caramel malty. Sweet and bitter taste. Light to medium oily body with soft carbonation.
3.40,3l bottle at home. Copper orange coloured with thick white head. Aroma is malt and some fruit. Pretty mild actually. Taste is malts, fruit and a note of Belgium stule yeast. Medium palate and a bit waterish. Pretty useless and definitely not a drink from De Molen that I expected.
4.3Bottle 33cl. Yellow, golden colour with a firm white top. Beer is a bit hazy. The dry hops are clearly present in the aroma which has also hints of orange peels and malts. The taste is beautifully balanced. At first mild bitter with a sweet undertone. Later on a perfectly balanced IPA bitterness kicks in. Great!
3.7Bottle@Black Swan, Copenhagen - hazy amber golden coloured pour with white head. Aroma and taste is a mix of tropical and citrus fruits, hoppy and malty, some caramel, toffee, orange, grapefruit and peach, some nice spice, pine needles, hoppy bitter finish.
3.7330ml bottle from Brewdog online shop. Orangey golden amber colour, white foamy head leaving lacing and aroma of mango, orange, hoppy. Taste is malt caramel with tangy citrus grapefruit, spice & resiny hop bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry spicey bitter finish. Very drinkable.
3.6Bottle. Hazy golden brown with an off white foam. Aromas are floral with mellow oranges and coriander. Bready yeast with leafy hops and pepper and funky mushroom hints. Flavours are sweet mango with grassy, funky notes. Bitter, leafy pine with a woody, dry palate. Very drinkable.
4.0Bottle, 0.33l, shared with Hoppiness crew. Cloudy deep golden color with rocky white head and great lacing. Aroma of mild tropical fruits, grassy hops and toasted malt. Light sweet caramel malt and jam, following is grassy sour with mild fruity note, crisp mouthfeel and heavy bitter finish. Medium body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Bitter, bold and tasty...
