3.40,33 l bottle
caramel, cereal, herbs, barnyard, basement aromas, brown, cloudy, frothy, tan foam, heavy cloying sweetness, lightly bitter, lightly sour, medium body, oily feel, soft carbonation, long finish,
3.2Bottle at home from Zlý Časy, Prague. Pours hazy brown color, lightly beige head. Aroma of spices, herbs, caramel. Taste is medium bitter, herbal, belgian spices, caramel.
3.2Light brown colour, almost no head. Aroma of nuts, chesnuts, raisins, ginger may be, toffee. Taste is light sweet, a bit bitter. Fruity flavour. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation.
3.6huge frothy offwhite head. excellent lacing. mostly diminishing. muddy thick light brown body. aroma: moderate nutty malty, caramel, milk chocolate and alcohol. if: moderate sweet. ff: light bitter; long duration. palate: light medium body, watery/oily texture, lively carbonation, metallic and heavy alcoholic finish.
3.6the aroma is caramel and herbal with hints of hops and spices... the taste is caramel and fruity with notes of toffee, citrus, spicy herbs and, a little bit, red wine... bright hoppy bitterness... sweet, bitter, spicy and dry aftertaste...
3.5330ml bottle. pours a slightly hazy dark copper colour. aroma is resin, pine, trees and tart hops. taste is quite similar. tart but really nice and surprisingly drinkable for the taste. lots of sharp hops.
3.3Pours dark amber with a large, frothy head. Aroma is alcohol soaked fruitcake and marzipan. Taste has caramel and fruitcake, with apple in the finish and alcohol on the aftertaste.
3.4Malty aroma of reisin and dried fruit with note of caramel. Medium to high wellrounded body. Taste is both intensive malty raisin, caramel and marmalade and Europe hop. Good balance.
3.6Bottle, 33cl. Very intense copper colour and thin but quite stable foam head. Lots of coloidal yeasts but that does not disturb the whole appearance to me at all. Aroma of fresh earthy hops and toffee, not as intense as it could be and in my opinion, not very interesting. The taste built of bittereness at medium level just fine for the English Aleand well balanced with maltym toffee-like sweteness. Undetectable alcohol, and a bit yeasty dryness on the palate in the aftertaste. Quite thin body and I would rather have it more oily/slicky. Very drinkable. Overall, a very good English styled Ale.
3.0Bottle from Cornelius. Gazy Amber, small off white head. Malty nose, and a bit trampy. Some fruit, medium
Caramel. Thickish mouth feel but clean finish. Ok but not my thing.
3.4Bottles from Provenance Wines and Cornelius. Murky chestnut body with a thin off-white head. Faint lacing. Aroma of dumpling, toffee, filter coffee, honey, smoked pine, Cadbury’s Fruit & Nut and amaretto. Flavour is surprisingly boozy. Notes of cinnamon, butterscotch, salted caramel, Soreen and Demerara sugar. Medium body with a creamy texture. Soft carbonation. An interesting beer that made me think.
2.8Appearance: Dark brown, hazy. Some light tan head.
Aroma: Yeast, slight sourness. Tart fruit?
Taste: Sweetness and sourness, actually. Fruits, hops, dry. Not the best from this brewery.

3.6Bottle from Erzbierschof - Hazy brown color with a frothy beige head, long lasting and good lacing - Aroma is malty, grainy, toffee, caramel, biscuits, fruity, dried prune, raisin, very complex aroma - Flavor is grainy, buscuits, red fruits and earthy bitterness - Medium body, fizzy carbonation, medium/high bitterness, dry, long dry bitter earthy finish - interesting and well done, you have a beer a nose and another in the mouth, what you can expect in nose is really different in mouth
3.8Cloudy mid brown pour big head. Aroma fruit, cherries, caramel, leather, yeast. Tastes boozy, slight brine, caramel, firm bitter. Slight dry warming palate. Pulls off strong English ale while maintaining balance.
3.5Bottle from Corvallis Brew Supply, Corvallis. Pours a medium dark amber, lots I light tan head. Strawberries, yeast. Body medium, finish caramel, fruitiness, candi sugar. Nice, if a bit weird...
4.4hazy brownish orange colour, morerate sized, dense, long lasting yellowish head; aroma of caramel, overripe fruits, floral hops, and hints of honey; taste of intensive maltyness, caramel, honey, fruity notes, some grapefruits and hoppy bitterness - a bit like a barley wine with lower amount of malts and hops - a BARELY wine :-)
3.4Bona cervesa, és bastant equilibrada i gustosa.
Buena cerveza, es bastante equilibrada y sabrosa.
3.5Yeasty and lively beer with a body of caramalt and bitter hops. Bit grassy and dry palate. Like a yeasty saison.
3.5@Nedre Mölla 16/5-14.Flaska från Systembolaget. Arom: Fruktig, persika, karamell. Smak: Fruktig, karamell, toffee, ganska hög sötma. Kroppen är medelfyllig, avslutningen fruktig, söt och medelbesk.
2.9Pours a medium brown into a pint glass with two inches of head. I can’t recognize any fruit or other aromas besides malt when smelling which might just be my inexperienced palette. But the taste is between an English bitter and a pilsner, typical of the saaz hops anyway. Lighter than a stout with medium carbonation. Quite a bit of sediment. Decent but I wouldn’t seek it out on purpose. De Molen has better beers out there.
3.4@ Havregatan. Flaska från Craftbeers Privatimport. Fruktig och maltig, något kryddig, alkohol, ganska hög sötma, karamell, toffeetoner, medelfyllig. Avslutningen är söt, fruktig och något besk.
3.8On tap at Monks Café, pours orange brown with medium sized head. Aromas and flavors are caramel and sweet malting, light honey, yeast, and hops. Finishes with hop and English tasting malts. Lighter to medium in body. Not too bad but got overshadowed by the Bo and Luke.
3.7Bottle at home. It’s an English strong ale eh? Well, can’t remember a better one, more traditional ones but who gives a fuck about that? I love this stuff. Amber with a thick yellowed off white head. Nice aroma of malts, some strength, berries, caramel. Flavour has some spice, citrus and hop bitterness, also with a non English yeasty notes. Yeah.
Like usual very experimental, first of all it’s hardly to classify it’s style. The colour is brown, dark amber. Average head and average lacing. The aroma is very nice, some dark fruit esters combined with malts and caramel, some basement aromas. It has some features of belgian ale like characteristic yeasty and malty aroma. Taste is bitter but not striking bitter, some sweet malts in the middle and in aftertaste. Noticable pils malts. The textute is rather thick, average carbonation and medium body. Molenbier is another well balanced de Molen beer, which has some features of pilsner, belgian and english ale. Interesting but did not knocked me down.
3.733cl. Bottle.
Pours hazy dark orange with big off white head.
Aroma fruits, peach, pineapple, spice, toffee.
Taste strong bitter, toffee sweet, some spice.
Mouthfeel lively carbo, thin.
Great beer.
3.233cl bottle Edeka Mohr, Bonn 02/2014. Bottled 11/2012. Pours a very cloudy wooden mauve once yeast is poured in. Boozy fig marmelade nose. Aroma of fallen autumn leaves, maroni, mushroom. Higher bitterness in the taste than expected, making this even more medicinal-woody. Belgian yeastiness and carbonation. Lingering yeast-hoppy finish. Overall blunt mix of prime old flavours.
4.0Bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. This hazy dark amber-brown beer pours with a huge foamy head. It has pineapple and peppery hop flavours, almond and toffee notes with a slight sugary sweet, extremely dry and tart finish.
3.9Pours hazy amber-red with gigantic exploiding off-white head. Immediately I am engulfed by aromas of Belgian yeast, very fruity, oranges and pineapple. Tasting reveals more sweet fruits, pineapple, honey, some spice. Medium body, high carbonation. Lovely t(r)ipple, not sure what’s supposed to be English about it though.
