4.0 Hala glowna.07/18 czuc wisnie i tlalko 0.33 mniam
4.0 Small bottle pours black with some dark brown highlights when held up to bright light; virtually no head, a tiny bit of tan lacing. Aroma: prunes, molasses, bourbon, smoke.Flavor: prunes, figs, dates, raisins, campfire marshmallows, wood char, bourbon, vanilla, coconut, dark chocolate, espresso, dark brown sugar, leather, cigar, rich dark earth. Mouthfeel: full-bodied, oily, boozy; a definite sipper.
4.0 33 cl bottle @ home, almost 2 years after bottling (sept. 2016). Pitch black color. Frothy beige head with little retention. Aroma's: sweetish, chocolate, some red fruit, mild bourbon and vanilla. Retronasal the bourbon comes out much more, with wood, sweetness, chocolate. Flavor is above moderate sweet, chocolatey, woody, roasty. Fairly strong alcohol feel. Almost full bodied. Finishes roasty, ashy, moderate bitter. Classic De Molen.
4.0 Barwa ciemnobrązowa, mało piany, ładny lacing. Intensywny aromat wanilii, beczki i mlecznej czekolady, wykańczany szlachetną nutą alkoholową.
3.6 Bottled 15-09-16, tasted 17-04-18. Tulip glass. Pours a pure cola black with some light fizzing but no head whatsoever. Aromas are very subtle off the glass, sweet hay and light grass. Plum pudding and booziness as it comes up to drinking temperature from the fridge. Initial impressions aren't very impressive on the taste. Not bad, just... coffee and toffee, and not really much of anything else. I definitely get the bourbon, but it's a surprisingly simple, sweet beer. Not bad at all, but I'm used to De Molen's name meaning a gigantic, whomping, complex brew, and this is more like bourbon and coffee got added to some Coke -- not /bad/! Just, I paid $14 dollars for *this*? Mouthfeel and palate are inoffensive, a little puckering bit of plum but after that it's surprisingly safe and neutral. No acidity or astringency. No real carbonation at all. Just not a lot of character to this beer. Finish is a plum-coffee-toffee sweetness that just feels like a repeat of the initial taste. Anyway. Not impressed, kind of let down. From another brewer this would still be a fine beer, but... well. I guess I just expect a lot more out of De Molen. Strictly journeyman beer, this one. Enjoyable, but don't pay import premiums on it.
3.9 12 ounces bottle from private import drank at home alone. Bottle date: 15-09-2016. Aroma: big bold bourbon mixed with some chocolate, maybe light coffee?, alcohol is also present. Maybe anis from really far away as well. App: dark murky brown, minimal to small mocha head leaving good lacing. Taste and palate: full body, medium high sweetness, spicy a tad, moderate bitter finish. Overall: pretty good. Loved the nose. Bourbon is present as I like it. In mouth, it's a tad too sweet but considering the abv I it's not surprising and it could even have been sweeter than that. Well done. A great beer to share.
3.7 33cl bottle Black color, light tan head with short retention. Aroma is roasty, toasty, peat and earthy notes. Flavor with notes of roasted malts, black ripe fruit and Bourbon notes. Alcoholic presence in the final, slightly sweet mouthfeel. Dense and creamy on palate.
4.2 Bottle, pours black with a light beige head. Bourbon, chocolate, dark fruit, light mint, vanilla, dark cherries, brown sugar, light roast. Very enjoyable bba quad meets ris.
5.0 Great BBA IS, WR
4.0 Bottle. Typical imperial stout with lots of overripe fruits and pleasant barrel.
4.1 Bottle. Rich sweet bourbon, treacle, fudge, light licorice, woody dryness, moderate bitterness. Smooth and mellow, fantastic sipper.
4.0 Zwart tot donkerbruin,  lichtbruine schuimkraag die snel zakt, en redelijk koolzuur. Aroma: Geroosterde mout, chocolade, vanille, bourbon, hout, en donker fruit en iets zoethout. Smaak: Vrij zoet, veel vanille, karamel, donker fruit. Zeer prettig!
3.9 Barwa czarna, piana beżowa, mało bujna. Aromat intensywny, czekolada z owocami suszonymi, melasa, nuty wanilii i kokosa. W smaku pełne, nuty palone, lurowata kawa, dużo suszu owocowego, nuty porto, tło popiołowe, niunase wanilii, finisz długi popiołowo-alkoholowy (bourbon).
3.8 33cl bottle from wishbeer bangkok. pours black with big brown head. sweet boozy aroma with sweet sherry and bourbon.
3.9 Draught @ 8th. BBF 2016 [ 8th Borefts Beer Festival 2016 ] @ Brouwerij de Molen, Bodegraven, Netherlands. [ As De Molen Mooi & Meedogenloos (Bourbon BA) ]. Clear dark brown colour with a small average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, vanilla, sweet malt, wood, alcohol. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, vanilla, chocolate, roasted, wood, alcohol - bourbon. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is light light alcoholic. [20160924] 8-3-8-4-16
3.8 Tasting @ Tim's.Pours dark brown with just a bit of beige foam on top. Nose sweetish with some cocoa character and touch of vanilla. Taste has sweetness, some booze, vanilla and coconut. Some booze bitterness. Sweeter than non-barrel version, interesting ashy part coming after. Black bread is somewhat gone and finish has light bitterness, herbal liquorice linger. Good but has lost its black bread character original version had.
3.8 Bottle shared by Pilsnertest. Dark brown with beige head. Thick, sweet with molasses, caramel, sweet liquorice, bourbon and vanilla. Quite a bit of bourbon presence .
3.9 On bottle @Studenterbar Århus. Pours deep black, with no head. Intense dark chocolate and bourbon. Rich, creamy and smooth. It's really impressive, yet I've expected more bourbon taste. The scent is dark chocolatey, and a note of bourbon.
4.1 Dark brown, nice brown head. Aroma: cereal, chocolate, nuts, caramel, toast, vanilla. Full body, heavy cloying sweetness, medium bitterness. Taste: malty notes, after that chocolate. Bit dry, alcoholic finish, also some wood.
4.6 pours a small head. Bourbontaste is always present, dry caramel, dark chocolate, spicy dark fruits sticky, light carbonated beer that I like very much
3.6 12oz bottle pours a cola brown with some frothy, sticky, off white head. Nose has butterscotch, cola, brown sugar, licorice, some wet wood noses, sumac. Flavor follows, chewy with malt and grain and molasses, black licorice too, cola, BBQ sauce, some cocoa powder. Barrel here is a little washed out, some light vanilla notes, but the malt is still standing strong. Finishes full bodied, oily and a little boozy.
4.2 Butelka 0.33 z data do 09.2021. Smak: Czekolada, kawa, praliny, kwaskowe wisnie w czekoladzie, w tle gdzies lekko suszone sliwki. Brownie. do tego otulajaca wszystko wanilia. Cudownie. Goryczka: srednia do wysokiej, kawowa, fajnie kontruje slodycz piwa. Wysycenie: niskie do sredniego. Ciało: srednie. Alkohol: dobrze ukryty, lekko rozgrzewa w przełyk. Kolejne swietne piwo z tego znanego holenderskiego browaru spod znaku wiatraka. Piłem wersje podstawowa, ktora byla swietna. Ta jest jeszcze bogatsza, bo wzbogacona aromatem beczki.Jedyne , do czego moznaby sie przyczepic to lekko za wysokie wysycenie. Natomiast całosciowo piwo jest swietne, pijalne o bogatym aromacie i smaku. Szanuje.
4.1 (330ml bottle @ Cafe de Koffer, Groningen, Aug 21/17) Pours dark brown with a very small and sparse dark tan head that disappears instantly. Aroma is fairly sweet with layers of dark burnt sugars, toast, roasted nuts, light tar, anise, cacao/coffee bean touches, woody tobacco notes and quite subtle bourbon. Flavour is again a bit sweeter and rounder than many De Molen stouts, with muscovado, molasses, stewed fig, earth, roasted cacao, soft vanilla, wood, leather, toast, light bourbon. Finish is lightly sweet and lightly bitter from the roast, with alcohol well hidden. Medium bodied, below average carbonation. Good stuff.
4.0 33 cl. bottle, bottled in 2016. Poured into a Snifter. Pitch black with a few tanned bubbles on top. Sweet roasted aroma with liquorice, tar, bourbon notes, vanilla, dark malts, caramel malts, coffee, chocolate and oak. Taste is sweet roasted. Full body with an oliy texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes sweet with lingering bourbon notes and dark malts. Very fine bourbon barrel ageing.
3.8 33cl bottle from beer gonzo. Dark red brown color. Medium bitterness, light to medium sweetness. Medium body. Dry finish. Aroma and flavour is bourbon, vanilla, chocolate, toffee, chestnuts, dark and red fruits. It’s not bad but I was expecting better.
3.9 June 2017 - Bottle share at Leighton’s. As ’De Molen Mooi & Meedogenloos (Bourbon BA)’, 11.2%, black wax. Pours opaque black with a foamy brown head. Aroma is vanilla and coconut, bourbon. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is big on the vanilla, also rich molasses, smooth rounded malts, light coconut bourbon, spicy and boozy in the finish. Pretty nice. (7-4-8-4-16=3.9)
5.0 Rating #2635 - 2017.08.05 - Bottle from @beerblast. (bottled september 2016) Pours ruthlessly black, opaque with a tan foam that bubbles to a ring, mild sticky lacing. Aroma is shoe leather, tobacco, molasses, earth, and vanilla. A little booze on the palate, full-bodied, lower carbonation - notes of dark chocolate, vanilla, oak, earth, and hooker boots permeate, entrance, and enrapture. #5whore
