4.7 Simply a perfect imperial stout
4.1 0,33l bottle. Pours black with beige head. Aroma of roast, cocoa, smoke, dark fruits, coffee. Taste is strong, coffee, roast, smoky, dark fruit, (salty) licorice, cocoa.
3.9 Very unique and interesting beer to drink. This beers is very bitter and little dry but has a very strong character. First of all the aroma is decent with coffe, chocolate ect notes and the mouthfeel amazing. The taste has bitter direction with many coffe, chocolate, caramel notes. The finish has some kind short direction and the carboration is soft. Overall i dont prefer the bitter beers but this one is unique.
4.0 Dark brown, slightly cloudy foam is not available. Nose. Dried fruits, dark malt, wine notes, a little chocolate notes. Taste. The body is dense with soft carbonation. Taste Very rich in fruit-wine and chocolate shades.
4.2 Geeky beer, nice full body stout with coffee aroma and intense malty smell. One of the first stouts ever tried, years before! From what I remember, was oily, little bit hoppy, known as Rasputin! I think i have some bottles for aging!
3.6 Shared bottle labelled De Molen Rasputin at Mi2 at Cardinal 20.01.20. Very dark copper. Some beige head. Aroma and taste of roasted malt, cigar box, coffee and bitter dark chocolate.
4.0 Shared bottle at Cardinal, Stavanger, as Rasputin. Pours black with little beige head. Aroma of dark chocolate, dark bread, some roasted notes. Tastes roasted bitter with some sweetness. Medium bodied.
4.4 A well-balanced beer. Malty, a tiny bit bitter, and some vague hints of fruit. Goes down easily, despite its high ABV at 10.7%. The sweetness and the complexity of the beer do a good job at masking the high alcohol level. Overall, an easy-to-drink imperial stout. It may be a tad bit too sweet and malty for some, but for a beer lover, there is much to be enjoyed in this beer.
4.1 Pours a pitch-black coloration with a medium, stable, creamy head. Smells of lightly roasted, bready, caramel malt and strong notes of dark fruits: fig, raisin, plum, as well as some coffee and chocolate. Taste is a great balance of roasted, bready, caramel malt, strong notes of dark fruits: fig, rasisin, plum, some coffee, chocolate and molasses as well as lighter notes of red fruit, licorice and just a hint of tobacco and earthy/herbal, bitter hops. Finishes with a medium/strong bitterness and some dark fruits, coffee and chocolate lingering in the aftertaste. Full mouthfeel with a medium/rich body and light/medium carbonation. While the flavor profile leans a tad too much towards the sweet, fruity notes here for my personal taste, this is quite nicely balanced by some more roasted and quite bitter notes as well, giving this a good complexity on top of already being quite rich. All in all a very enjoyable, rich, complex and well-balanced Imperial Stout.
3.6 Bottle, brewed Dec 10, 2014, purchased in 2018. Dark brown-black, warm mahogany near the edges, thin and very fine light-brown head with medium-poor retention. Aroma is dark chocolate, rye bread, bit of soy sauce, raisins, some molasses. Those are the predominant notes - undertones of caramel, brown sugar, milk-chocolate, cherry are certainly present and contribute to an overall complexity. Body is medium-weight, oily, medium-light carbonation and burn, smooth feel, but not enough to be outright creamy. Flavor is dark wheat and pumpernickel bread, dark raisin, some molasses, bit of brown sugar and breadcrust, some booze. Touch of tart cherry. Very slightly sour - not expecting that! Very good, but would benefit from barrel aging.
4.0 Bottle from Mitra in Gorinchem, The Netherlands. The beer is black colored with a stable creamy foam. Carbonation is good. The aroma is malty, with notes of caramel, toffee, roasted malts, dried fruits, spices, chocolate and coffee. The taste is full bodied and sweet with caramel, toffee, roasted malts and dried fruits and goes to bitter with chocolate, espresso, licorice and spices. The finish is warming alcohol, a little dry and bitter. Also long noticable. Could have been a little more roasted malts, but yet a very lovely brew.
3.8 Robe brune très foncée, presque noire, fine mousse. Nez chocolat, lacool, café, pointe herbeuse. Attaque amère, café,grillé, chcolat, finale amère toujours, pamplemousse. Corps liquoreux, dense, bonne longueur, carbo OK.
3.5 Bottle@Kahdet Kasvot, Tampere, Finland. Strong, balanced nuances of dry licorice and roasted barley, some dark chocolate, a hint of rum. Medium/wide taste spectrum and medium aftertaste with dry licorice and a hint of rum. Strong /medium body with medium carbonation. Overall, nice combination of dry licorice and malty characters. 7 3 7 3 15
4.3 Drukket som Rasputin. Øl fra absolut øverste hylde. Masser af fylde og velsmag. Indbydende aroma,
3.9 Fles als Rasputin 10,4%. Diepdonker bier, bruinig schuim. Aroma mout. granen en choco. Smaak: Schotse whisky, vleugje choco, bitter en licht zoet. Zwaar maar aangenaam. Waarom dronk ik dat eigenlijk nu? Flesje is houdbaar tot 2041....
4.2 Thuis uit een flesje. Rasputin, 10,4%. Zwart, lichtbruin schuim.
3.9 Bottle, 0.33l. Black pour, thin beige layer on top. Good lacing on the glass. Intense nose, heavily malty, seems quite sweet. Roasty and fruity notes in the background. Full body, soft carbonation. Oily texture, creamy, chewy mouthfeel. Quite smooth. Roasty bittersweet taste, not as sweet as nose would suggest. Malty aroma, caramel, cocoa, chocolate. Syrup, molasses, brown sugar. Fruity background, dried fruits and figs. Mild spicy, notable alcohol presence. Long finish, dry and liquory. Pretty good.
3.5 Can (8-Sep-19) Sweet choc coffee aroma. Jet black colour, poor head and suds lacing. Choc rum tobacco flavour. Bitter choc coffee finish and tobacco coffee aftertaste.
3.8 Smells, looks and tastes so amazing that you forgive a bit of a sweet tinge on the palate, like with a back catalogue as spectacular as Meryl Streep, you can can forgive Mamma Mia
4.1 12 oz can from bottle ship in Amsterdam. Strong coffee with dark malts. A little Belgium with a slight bit of lemon. Really fantastic.
4.5 al naso note torrefatte. In bocca prevale caramello, liquirizia, caffè, dattero e del pepe nero. La gradazione è impercettibile
4.3 De Zombier. Botella. En copa Teku. Viendo Black Summer 1x06-07.
4.2 My 330 ml bottle for rating came from De Bierkoning in Amsterdam. Purchased a few days ago I see it was bottled on 7/26/18 and is rated at 10.4 % ABV. Pouring into the best available glass it comes out an almost pure black liquid topped with a steady head of light tan foam. The nose is licorice and molasses, good start. The taste is a light version of Ten FIDY, my baseline imperial stout. Chocolate, berry, grain, straw, a hint of coffee and a bit more sweetness before going to a nice bitterness. De Molen does imperial stouts proud again for me.
3.9 Pivo u flaši. Aroma čokolade , suhih brusnica , i osjetna alkoholna nota. Fino i nepretenciozno... lajkam :)
3.5 Rasputin, butelka do 09.02.43. Klasyczny, niezły IS.
3.7 The beer comes across as an almost light imp. stout. it’s not super dark, not super roasty or overly filling. It does hide the high abv well, surprising since the flavour does not show the big malt bill as it one would expect. good beer, but not near my favourite in the big style. Beerwulf online bottle.
