3.8 light citrus in aroma without any other additions at the beggining, and more complecated aroma at end, with wheat notes and pleassure alcoholic notes, like in belgium beers. good bitterness in taste. overall is very similar to weizenbock beers.
3.6 Light cloudy peach color, white head. Fruity nose, Belgian yeast, grass, floral, medicinal notes, hint of alcohol. Fruity taste, Belgian yeast, light malty, sweet, grass, hint of alcohol, dry finish. Medium body, soft carbonation. 7, 4, 7, 4, 14
3.3 Ich habe mein Heksen und Trollen vom Fass genossen. Es ist ein frisch-fruchtiges Saison nach belgischer Tradition, das man wunderbar mit oder ohne Speisebegleitung trinken kann.
3.3 Bought as Heksen & Trollen. Near-clear golden pour, with quite a firm near-white head, lasting well. Aroma is at first surprisingly citrus & orange, then soft hoppy and soft yeasty (saison-ish). Taste moderate bitter with medium bitter aftertaste. Strong, sparkling carbo. It's a nice saison, with actually a rather soft profile, and not specifically wheaty either.
3.6 Bottle - 330ml. Chestnut brown body with a lasting off-white foamy head. Good malty/hoppy aroma with herbal, grainy and woody notes. Taste carries earthy, tobacco, and yeasty notes. Ends with a sharp bitter finish. Interesting.
2.9 33cl bottle, as Heksen & Trollen, from Abeervinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours fairly hazy, orange gold, with abundant white foam, fine. Aroma is grassy and saison yeast. Body and carbonation are average. Taste is fairly bitter, with a bit of sourness. Finish is kind of long and bitter.
2.9 Not the best De Molen for me. Pope’s yellow straight with foamy head. A decent but straight forward pilsner. Too flat overall.
3.4 26 June 2018. Sample at 't Taphuys, Tilburg. Shared with Anke. Labeled 'Heksen & Trollen'. Clear golden with a small, frothy, white head; lots of lacing. Aroma of lemon zest, unripe orange & tangerine, grass, straw, white bread, white pepper, spices. It tastes light to medium fruity sour, unripe orange & lemon, and light hoppy bitter, hints of straw & hay with a sweet, bready back. Grassy hoppy finish, dry & spicy. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Pleasant Saison, and I'm hard to please with those.
3.5 Fles 33cl thuis als De Molen Heksen & Trollen. Bloemig, citrus hoppig (aurora), dry hopped (amarillo, cascade), licht zurig. (5-2015).
3.5 330ml bottle as Heksen & Trollen. Pours cloudy orange with a big off-white head. Aroma is spicy, citrus fruits, yeasty. Taste of spicy yeast and citrus fruits, orange peel, resin. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation.
3.6 Als Heksen und Trollen. Eingetrübte gelbe Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Fruchtiger, leicht hefiger Geruch. Geschmacklich hopfig, fruchtig mit Citrus, würzig, leicht malzig. Leicht süß mit leichter bis mittlerer Bitterkeit, leichter Körper mit sanfter Kohlensäure.
3.5 33cl bottle, as Heksen & Trollen on 22-Apr-2018. Hazy yellowish pale colour with a large white head. Aroma of summer fruit and yeast. Light body and lots of fizz (a bit of a gusher). Taste of orange, lemon, spices and yeast. Smooth and tasty.
3.6 Draft @ Bij Post, Dordrecht. Hazy yellow colour, white foam. Refreshing saison with citrussy notes, light malty, fresh hoppy finish.
3.2 Aroma: lemony with some cleaning solution with basil; APpearance: clear yellow pour; Taste: citrusy and herby; interesting.
3.7 330 ml bottle.Best before of 01/07/17. Pours a hazy amber gusher. Aromas of muddled fruit leaning toward quince and apples, lemon wax and wheaty malts. Flavors follow same with more waxy citrus, bubblegum and dull resin. Good for the age.
3.1 Draft at BeerGeek Bar, Prague. As De Molen Heksen & Trollen. Pours hazy gold with a white head. Aroma and flavors of citrus, yeast, floral notes, wheat, funk, honey. Decent.
3.6 Nagy, tartós hab, félbarna szín, szűretlen. Gabonás, fűszeres illat. Markánsan fűszeres, gabonás ízvilág, egy hajszálnyit savanykás. Közepesen testes, közepesen szénsavas és keserű. Finom, jól összerakott, jellegzetesen saison-os sör.
3.6 Hoppy, Orango & dezent Kräuteryeasty. Dann schäumig, WWdry & mit dem Hauch Biskuit. Wärmendes Finish mit getreidigem Mouthfeel... MOLEN Stuff...direkt von da ;)...0,33l Flasche.
2.1 Bottel @ Grinding & Winding in Grindsted. Hazy golden body with a small white head. Baking yeast, phenols.
2.8 Bottle. Pours hazy golden with loads of sediment and a white head. Aroma of baking yeast, stonefruits, citrus, spice - phenolic. Taste is loads of yesat, citrus, spicey, soapy, harsh bitter finish.
2.2 Bottle @ Windin' and Grindin' in Grindsted, 2017. Pours hazy yellow with a frothy white head. Phenolic yeast, faint citrus and dust. Esters. Peppers. Rough!
3.4 Bought at called 'Heksen & Trollen'. It's a rather nice and spicey saison beer.
3.6 Bottle at home. Pours hazy amber, loads of head, remains for a while, too. Aroma is nicely funky, notes of apple cider, white wine, grapes. Some acidity. Light body, almost no malt base. Flavours are almost reminiscent of an IPA, very hoppy and fruity. Not as funky as the aroma led me to believe. Really lacks body in my opinion. More of an IPA/saison hybrid; nice stuff, just should have a bigger malt base imho.
3.9 Bottle @home (rating backlog). Pours gold, white head. Nose is citrus fruits, hop cheese, slight yeast, slight spices. Taste like the nose, fruity, slight peppercorns, slight lemons.
3.5 Very refreshing gentle saisson with a bitter finish. Lacking the sour notes that the best examples have but its very pleasant and goes down very easy. Lovely texture tingle in the mouth with the warming of the alcohol coming in. Nice.
3.6 Pours a hazy yellow with a white head. Fairly bitter, citrussy, dry and refrshing. Nice.
3.7 Bottle at home. Hazy peach with cream head. Rich fruity and spicy, chestnut honey, white peach, red orange, bergamot. Juicy, coriander with hoppy finish.
3.4 33cl bottle. Slightly hazy golden with a big white head. Yeasty, spicy and fruity.
