3.0 Cloudy yellow beer, low carbonation, small white head, nice orange peel, raw sugar and cloves aromas, in palate medium body very sweet flavor, not that much hops or bitterness at the end, but overall good sweet aftertaste
3.5 Very well executed German Hefeweizen, nothing more. Nice palate, colour. Light sour.
3.7 Definitely the worst beer these guys make, it's lacking any type of typical great wheat beet flavours and aromas. De prael Amsterdam
3.4 @ Amsterdam 17-11-24 (backlog rating). Helt ok med lätta toner av vete och banan med lite tutti frutti i eftersmaken
3.3 On tap at De Prael. Hazy golden/yellow with a small white head. Aroma of citrus, wheat and light banana. The same in the taste, also some yeast. The body was medium. Quite refreshing.
3.1 On tap at Proeflokaal de Prael, Amsterdam on 22-Nov-2017. Hazy yellowish pale colour with a medium sized white head. Aroma of citrus and wheat. Light to medium body and carbonation. Taste of wheat, lemon, banana, pear and spices. Fruity and refreshing.
3.0 33cl bottle-shared by Gary+Pam-retaining tight foamy white-hazy/cloudy pale yellow. A-pear, honey, clove. T-pear, honey, clove, wheat. 3.0
2.9 33cl bottle at home. Pours a pale yellow coliur with a moderate white head. Aroma of wheat, malt, banana, citrus, orange. Taste is fairly sweet, soft bitter with a moderate dry finish. Notes of citrus, wheat, grain, malt, banana. Textuee is watert, light bodied with medium carbonation.
2.8 Ruikt duidelijke citroen geur. Licht gele troebele kleur.
2.7 Draft - Light dirty banana and citrus. Cloudy gold with a decent white head. Dirty banana esters and a touch of orange.
3.2 Bottle. Color: Clear golden, frothy white head. Taste: Fruity, cloves, yeast, notes of banana. Fresh mouthfeel. Lightly bitter finish. German style wheat beer.
3.0 33cl bottle at home. Appearance: clear pale straw with medium white head. Aroma: wheat, sweet malts, some fruits, citrus. Taste: fairly high sweetness and low bitterness. Notes of citrus, fruits, wheat and sirup. Metal in the finish. Palate: light bodied, waterty texture and medium carbonation.
3.4 Medium white head, golden coloured body, yeasty fruity grape some sour like smell, medium to high carbonation malts medium bitter creamy some sweet fruity yeasts taste
3.1 On tap at Proeflokaal de Prael, Amsterdam. Pours hazy yellow, medium white head. Fruity, yeast, spicy, sweetish with some bitterness in finish. Medium bodied.
2.4 33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Plus Culemborg Hazy light yellow with a white head. Yeasty peppery aroma. Sweet taste with a faint wheaty creaminess. Not that good, to be honest
3.5 Classic weizen - opaque hay-colour with a white head. Smell is fresh and fizzy. Hint of white pepper and coriander. Slightly metallic and clayish. Very subtle hint of banana.Taste is bitter with a slight hint of sourness. Minerals, white pepper, hint of lemon, clove, nice!
2.8 Bottle at Vrankrijk. Hazy dark golden with small white head. Banana, caramel, banana bread, brown bread, soft minerals, plums, rad el hanout. Over medium sweet with light herbal bitter finish. Medium bodied. Not that good, and sweeter than I prefer.
3.1 (De Prael Weizen (Heintje)) Bottle 330 ml at home, served into a weizen glass. ABV 5.4% Deep orange colour on the body, slightly hazy, with a tall and thick white head on top, average retention. Aroma of heavy wheat, ripe fruits, some yeast. Taste of wheat, grains, ripe fruits, faint banana, clove. Thin body, okay carbonation. Decent.
3.8 Best Dutch weizen i've tasted so far! Fresh citrus tones with wheaty flavours, perfect!
2.8 Nettes, recht würziges Weizen mit einer feinen Perlung, nur wenig Hefe und ebenso wenig Frucht. Dafür leicht angehopft, vollmundig und erfrischend. Ganz nett.
1.9 Bottle bought in the Netherlands. The beer has got a hazy light golden-strawy colour with an airy head and medium to thin body. Aroma of yeast and wheat. Taste of yeast, thin dough, bread, wheat and mild fruits. Thin finish.
2.2 Bottle. Hazy copper colour. Lemon, wheat aroma. Light, spicy flavour. This is a very bad hefe weizen
3.2 Light hazy orange body with a medium diminishing white head. Aroma is floral, malty, yeasty. Taste is sweet and light bitter. Watery texture, medium body, average carbonation.
3.2 Draft 0.1l at the Brewpub De Prael Amsterdam Netherlands. 30.01.2016.Pour it hazy yellow color with small white head.Aroma banana, sweet apple.Taste of cloves, honey, lemon on the back, finish little bit grassy.
2.2 Bottle at home. Clear golden with white head that disappears completely. Loads of lemon, sweet malt base, lemon juice, acidic, some spices, cloves, light sour on sweet backbone. Flimsy body, low carbonation. A disgrace for the style. If this were my brew I’d be too ashamed to sell it. Atleast label it catpiss instead of weizen.
3.3 0.33 l bottle from local AH as ’De Prael Weizen’, best before November 2016. Hazy, golden amber with a thin (very thin for a Weizen!), frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, yeasty-spicy and slightly fruity aroma of banana and clove as well as hints of honey and vanilla. Sweetish, yeasty-spicy, minimally fruity taste of banana, clove, vanilla, honey and straw, followed by a short, slightly bitter, minimally sourish, yeasty-spicy finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Decent, not very special but easily drinkable and refreshing.
3.4 Bottle. Golden colour with whtie head. Wheat, fruit and spice aroma. Sweet, wheat, spice, fruit and yeast taste. Medium body.
