Mitte trocken, Grapefruit, bitter. Abgang herb, bitter, trocken, schmeckt nach Gewürzen. Voll in Ordnung.
2.4 Dit was niet echt mijn smaak. Dan was de hop harvest van 2011 een pak beter.
3.3 750 ml bottle. BBE 2017. William K, Helsinki, Finland. Clear golden colour with a small white head. Mild sweetness, mild yeast, some old hops and malt in the aroma. The flavour is super sweet malt, deep hops, mild bitterness and some mild sourness. This tastes unfresh.
4.6 2012 Edition. Swietne chmielne i zywiczne w zapachu. Niesamowicie pacznace morela. W smaku wytrawne hwiaty bzu jakby. Kolor pomaranczowo jasny, silnie metny z kremowa i trwala nieustepujaca piana. Piwo krzepkie tresciwe choc ma malo alkoholu doskonale syci. W sam raz do posilku. Niezapomniane w smaku chmiele belgijskie oczywiscie. Super smacznie bylo, polecam kazdemu
3.3 Bottle. Golden-orange colour with an off-white head. Aroma is hop, yeast, orange , fruit. Flavour is hop, yeast, malt, pine, fruit, orange, sugar. Bitter finish. Medium body. OK/Nice beer.
3.8 A hazy, orange beer with a big, cloudy and white head. The nose is fresh, fruits, oranges and spices. Nicely aromatic. Taste of fruits, some spicyness, oranges, the hops are aromatic as a citrusfruity and slightly herbal. The end is hoppy and dry. Medium bodied, high carbonation that is nicely balanced with fresh impression. Nicely aromatic and hoppy beer, what this beer would be if the botle would be more fresh, good beer.
2.0 Assaggiata in bottiglia qualche giorno fà.
3.2 Bottle from Barleywine enjoyed at home Golden clear, massive beige head. Smells of belgian yeast esters, malts, some grass and phenols. Light sweet, quite fruity, yeast esters, some meaty flavors, spicy. Medium bitter finish, quite intense hops. Overall not very exciting
3.0 Big bottle. Bought it with the XX Bitter at the same time... both turned out to be skunked, but this one much less, only a quarter of the way (?) so it wasn’t completely ruined. Shared with a friend who immediately mentioned the skunk without prodding so I know I’m not crazy. But anyhow pours light amber off-white head, grassy/floral hops, grass straw esters and pepper flavour... I think this is my kind of beer, sadly.
3.6 bottle a hazy golden yellow colored beer with a white head aroma malts citrus spices fruits pineapple yeast and hops flavor malts spices citrus fruits herbs and a bitter hoppy finish
3.3 Bottle from Prik & Tik Marlou. Pours sunny yellow with a big white head. Smells of wheat, lemons and spices. Wheaty, sour beginning soon makes space for an upcoming refreshing, grassy hop bitterness. Great hoppiness lingering till the end, dry hopped freshness with only a little bitterness supporting the floral flavors and giving this beer a pleasant medium body. Has a very dry finish, and is an overall easy to drink harvest beer.
3.4 Bottle 750ml @ Geokkjer Pours cloudy deep golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, dried fruits, peach and yeast. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a long fruity and yeasty finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
3.5 Bottle, 75cl. A big, collapsing, off-white head forms over an unclear, orange-colored body. Lots of peppery hops on the nose, with orangey fruityness, some white sugar and Belgian yeast, and also some grass. It’s quite bitter in the mouth, both initially and in the end, with orange zest, white sugar and a yeast hint. It’s quite dry on the palate, even though there’s sweetness there as well, with a soft but perhaps a bit low carbonation level. Fruity and bitter finish with a peppery, grassy hops touch. Quite nice this one, but I have to admit I prefer the more traditional Belgian way of brewing. 140111
3.5 Bottle. Pours cloudy golden with an off-white head. Aroma of malt, herbal hops, some grassy notes and fruitiness. Flavor is sweet and bitter with some malt, fruitiness, vanilla and grassy notes. Medium body, average carboantion.
3.6 Bottle bought @ systembolaget. Pours tiny hazy golden with a big frothy goldenish white head that slowly dissipates while leaving some soapy lacing on the glass. Smell is phenolic, estery and herbal with banana bread, bubblegum, freshly cut grass, pine needles, peaches, apricots, pineapple, dry soil, white pepper corns, overripe plums, dry wood and overripe grapes. taste is tiny sweet, bitter, phenolic, estery and herbal with crackers, bubblegum, grapefruit rinds, freshly cut grass, pine needles, lemongrass, dry wood, dry soil, pepper corns, overripe plums and hints of sheet metal and banana bread. Mouthfeel is dry, astringent, tiny round and medium bodied. finish is bitter with banana bread, bubblegum, grass, pine, dry soil and black pepper corns. Quite good but I wish I had cracked this open fresher.
3.9 750 ml bottle poured a hazy tarnished gold with a lasting amber head. Aromas of straw, pine, grapefruit, yeast, earthiness and light horseblanket. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of straw, earthiness, pine, grapefruit zest and light horseblanket with a smooth dry lingering bitter finish.
2.8 Big bottle, shared. It’s a great beer to start with. The taste is full with a nice bitter aftertaste. Would recommend when appropriate
4.0 Bomber from cheese shop, hazy yellow pour with off white head, fruity hoppy aroma, and taste is similar , good hopps for its style
4.0 .75 bottle. Golden hazy. Nice fruity malmelady apricot-citrus hops, with a touch of autumny leaves and a bit of greenery. Slightly hayish malts. Soft nice smooth medium body, feels really nice on the palate. Bitter, good. This is really a tasty nice fresh ale. Autumnal leaves, good sweet fruityness and a harmonous malty backing. Nice one.
3.4 Bottled, medium sample. Hazy golden color, medium head. Aroma of spicy and flowery hop, hint of spicy yeast, slight peppery. Medium bitterness. Ok stuff.
3.1 Big offwhite head. Clear amber body with carbonation. Fruity herbal aroma with minty notes. Dryish earthy resiny herbal taste with grassy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dry resiny fruity mealy aftertaste with herbal grassy notes. Nice, drinkable, maybe a little bit austere, but with a good bit of sweetness to it. (0.75l bottle, from Kihoskh, Copenhagen.)
3.3 Pours hazy orange with white head. Aroma is hoppy, yeasty and fruity. Flavour is bitter, yeasty and fruity.
3.8 Cloudy orange. Low carbonation. Fulness of a Belgium ale with a hop hit. Bread notes with banana and apricot. Nice beer.
3.7 750 ml green bottle, probably from Voldby Købmandsgaard. ABV is 6%. Hazy golden colour, huge white head. Strong aroma of spicy / peppery, herbal and grassy hops. Distinct hoppy flavour, fairly dry, strong peppery and herbal notes, bitter finish.
3.5 Bottled 75cl. Hazy golden with a tall chunky mountainous white head. Peppery yeasty nose which is reminiscent of tropical fruit, earthy spicy hops and cloves. Mediocre hop profile which isn’t all that well integrated. Flawless and very belgian but fails to convince me. Dandelion in the finish.
