De Ranke Saison De Dottignies

De Ranke Saison De Dottignies

Saison de Dottignies is a high-fermenting saison with a relatively low alcohol content which makes for a well-balanced beer.

Taste: Full of taste, but very drinkable. Heavily-hopped and thirst-quenching - typical of saison-styled beers.

Hops: Challenger, Brewers Gold, Hallertau Mittelfrüh, Styrian Golding

3.6 Tap at BrewStock 2021, thanks Ryan for sharing! Hazy golden-orange body, white head. Flowery-spicy notes, phenolics and bitter herbs in the aroma. Similar taste, again the flowery-spicy notes, phenolics again and a good bitter kick really. A good hoppy saison!
Chiusura secca. Retrogusto amarognolo persistente
3.7 This is a nice saison but there are better examples. Though this is lower than normal on the abv. Quite bitter. A nice drink just not the best.
3.7 0.33 l bottle at Ambasada. Zagreb. Shared with Plish. Clear golden, medium white head. Heavy phenolic, peppery, slightly plastic. Dry, a bit funky, citrusy, malty, mineraly. Light finish, some bitterness.
3.3 Bottled 330ml. -from Ambasada Zagreb. Darker golden coloured, medium sized white head, yeasty and mild fruity nose. Yeasty, fruity, spicy, light herbal and short bitterish finish. Rather average.
2.3 Earthy, mineral, flattish bread. Too much bitter for a saison. Not really my taste.
3.7 Bottle from House Of Trembling Madness. Clear amber body with a thick off-white head. Lively carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of red apple and light brown sugar. Flavour of apple pie and yeast. Medium body with a smooth mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Quite sweet for a saison.
3.7 Bottle from Etre Light gold on color with a frothy bubbly white head that persists. Lemony earthy light funk with hints of toasty bready maltiness. Nice Saison.
2.8 Bottle from House of Trembling Madness. Mid brown pour, earthy bitterness, minerals, yeast, unusual saison, not really my thing.
3.5 33cl bottle; BB 5th May 2022. My 44th Wedding anniversary on 7th May 2021 saw my wife and I have a Belgian Beer Day, this was the first one we shared. Amber body, slight haze, good sized lasting white head. Easy drinking Saison with a yeasty feel, not too 'farmyardy' like some, a bit 'earthy' but too bitter or 'horse blanket'.
3.6 Large foamy white head stayed on an unclear amber body. Belgian yeast, citrus & funky aroma. Medium bodied, smooth with a lively back. Bitter, Belgian yeast, citrus & herbal tastes. Tasty
3.2 33 cl. bottle at home. Bought at Øliver. Medium high fluffy lasting white head. Hazy dark amber body. Dusty malt straw aroma. Dry and relatively bitter flavor of malt. straw and grass with a high carbonation and a long finish.
4.0 Bottle 33cl. @home poured into a tumbler. Light sourish nose. Clear deep amber colour, good frothy off-white head, good retention, thin layer remains till the end, fair lacing. Aroma sweet malt, light lemon, yeast, touch of honey, barnyard. Light but rich fruity taste, fruity sweet, bitter and sourish, malty, grainy, peach, light lemon. Medium body, creamy texture, average acrbonation, long dry bittersweet aftertaste, earthy notes, mineral notes, peppery on the tongue, well-balanced and rich saison, tasty, very good.
3.7 Slight funky nose. Good malty body, dry and fresh. Crisp bitterness. High bingability
3.7 Humle
3.9 Heel sterk van smaak voor een licht alcohol bier te zijn. Kleur: amberkleurig met witte schuimkraag. Smaak : Redelijk bitter, kruidig enhoppig. Lichte toetsen van fruit. Goed in balans. Gekregen bij biermand.
3.4 Fruktig, syrlig doft. Gyllengul, lite disig. Päron, krusbär o lite citrus i smaken. Torr, besk avslutning.
3.4 En belgare med normal alkoholhalt. Mums!
2.9 Tasty saison. Acquired taste.
3.6 Hazy amber with full head at start, lasting laces. Earth aroma. Peppery taste with distinct and lasting bitterness.
3.7 cloudy, golden-amber color and a white head. Dry, funky, boozy. Taste follows the nose, hoppy finish.
3.5 De Belgiuminabox. Leyendo C9 Preface.
4.1 A saison brewed with 4 kinds of hops, the body is very clear, bitter, very good beer for summary.
3.5 0,33 l bottle from Systembolaget Enköping. Good Farmhouse ale, refreshing as well.
3.8 Looks great! Fruity and yeasty aroma. Taste is “franskbröd”, banana, and fruit. Bitter finish.
