3.1 One of the 100 Belgium beers to try before you die . Pours pale amber . Nice white head that sticks around . Yeasty aroma . With Belgium yeast taste
3.6 Malty bready aroma with raspberry like tartness Pours an amberish red with small wispy white head Lactic sourness, raspberry and bready malt, earthy hop. Light bodied with medium co2, lingering dry sourness. Enjoyable light somewhat sour Belgian pale.
2.4 Bu en cours de zythologie. Verre de 15cl issue d’une bouteille de 33cl. Couleur ambre/orange . Mousse effervescente et dissolue. Au nez : c’est la levure et le céréales. En bouche : très aqueux , super vide ! Pas de corps , levure peu atténuantes. Quelque note céréales et très très léger houblon. Très décevant
3.2 F: big, white, good retention. C: gold to amber, hazy. A: malt, caramel, grassy, floral, toasty, bread, yeast. T: malt, caramel, hint of citrus, yeast, bread, medium body, high carbonation, thirst quencher as well, 33cl bottle from Carrefour market – St. Michel @ Etterbeek, Brussels.
3.3 33cl bottle. Trübes orange goldenes Bier mit sehr großen beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch süß malzig, fruchtig, leicht hefig. Geschmack nach süßen Früchten, Hefe, leicht getreidig malzig, okay!
3.1 golden, amber, hazy, white foam, dough, leather, medium body, sticky, average carbonation, medium sweetness, medium bitterness, medium sourness,
3.1 Amber, small head. Malty, some sourish aroma. Light to medium body, sweetish, some sweet fruits, like peach i the taste. tasteful.
3.1 Bottle from de Bierschuur in Poppel. The beer is amber colored and has a small white head, with nice carbonation. The aroma is malty with tones of grains and some sour fruits. The taste is fruity and light sour and in the end a little hop bitterness is noticable. The finish is light dry, sour and refreshing.
3.5 Sample at Örebro Öl & Whisky 2015. Fruity smell with apples. Similar taste. Very fruity. Fairly refreshing.
2.4 Bottle sample at a tasting at Yoav’s place. Thanks Yoav. Murky toffee colour with a white ring. Fruity aroma with some toffee, slightly worty but all in all very faint. Bitter taste but also a little worty. Light-to-medium body, sweetish finish and quite carbonated.
2.7 330 ml bottle at home. Pours light amber. Metally aroma, some light pale malts. Light body, watery and metally. Refreshing light sour taste, but not really a lot of character...
3.2 Amber beer with a white head. Tastes slightly sour and bitter hoppy and some herbs.
3.3 33cl bottle Pours a light copper colour with white head Aroma is grain with sourish fruit Taste starts sweet with bitter later longish dry finish ok but nothing special
3.0 Pours a finger and half of head on a hazy straw body. The aroma is grain and sour smell. Okay. The taste is mild grain sweetness and some lemon bitterness. The texture is crisp but too fizzy. It’s okay.
3.0 Drunk from 33 cl bottle from beer discovery. Pale, enjoyable ale.
3.8 Aroma is honey, malt, herbs. Taste is sweet malts up front with a little bitterness on the finish. Not sure why this gets such low ratings.
2.7 Coming from a weak beer, this one is easily better. The aroma is there, bit reminds me of a farm or something, ence I cannot say a enjoyed it. For the taste, there is a small evolution starting with an acidic touch, and the result (wasn’t able to describe it) stays a bit on the palate. As my friend said, it’s a good small beer, but not extraordinary.
2.2 Light acid whiff. Gentle farmhouse - saison ale start. Lively carbonation. Tongue sticking finish.
3.1 Arôme de ferme. Très pétillante, elle se rapproche d’une saison. Elle évolue fort en bouche. arrière goût très faible
2.5 Appearance: Dark amber with a soapy beige head. Aroma: sweet, light malts, some fruit and sugar in the back TasteL. lightly acidic, light sweetness, lightly bitter, light bitter dry finish. With some light malts, a bit of spicey yeast and some overripe fruit. thin body, average caronation. Well a bit boring. It might be classicall, but this just taste very old school in non great way.
3.0 33cl bottle at home. Pale dark orange with a medium white soapy head. Light to medium body with low to medium carbonation. Medium bitterness with light sweetness. Caramel, malt, some funkiness, herbs, heast and citrus. A redrshing but not too ’special’ brew.
3.6 bottle brought back home from Tulsa, shared with hakes, very fruity, and swet, even tart, pretty good beer over all,
2.9 Dark yellow, slightly hazy. Thin head, not lasting. Malty, dry, not far from a bière de garde.
2.6 light malty aroma, amber, hazy, off white foam, light sweetness, lightly bitter, light bitter dry finish.
3.2 Another very old-fashioned ale which was originally only locally available - and still has a low profile today, though it remains one of Ann De Ryck’s most familiar beers in Flanders. Tasted from tap and vintage from a bottle. A light, soft, orange blond session beer with a gentle character, malt sweetness, clear yeastiness and mild hop bitterness in the finish. Very straightforward but a bit different and very thirst-quenching.
3.2 Licht bruin bier met schuim. Smaak is licht bitter, licht rokerig en licht zuur. Blijft redelijk lang hangen.
2.5 Golden coloured and clear. Has a white head, medium duration. Sweet aroma, special yeasty notes. Citrus and old grass. Sweet flavor, too carbonated
3.0 150th rating for this brew, from 11.16 fl oz bottle -- that takes the cake. Nose is sweet and somewhat straight-ahead pils malt with sugary overtones, muted back-end fruit. Beautiful dark amber (not quite brown) with a soapy beige head. Crisp, lightly acidic (and lactic!) fullish body with watery character, some caramel and earth light spice, light yeast, very overripe fruit in the back, but generally malt heavy and weight heavy, too. One to let warm a bit, for sure, and one to be met without expectations; there is a certain simple allure.
