Strong, clear blonde. Very unique taste. Almost savory. Pairs well with fish and poultry.
bottle at Thirsty Monk in Asheville. Spicy Belgian ale - cloves and some yeast. Solid!
Aroma: pear, clove, spice, bready malt
Appearance: clear golden color with a huge white head.
Taste: pear, clove, spice, bready malt, medium sweetness, medium bitterness.
Palate: watery texture, medium-high carbonation, solid dryness in the finish, mild booziness.
Overall: The booziness is slightly too much, and reduce the drinkability significantly. The flavor is rich, but the complexity is somewhat limited, which might be caused by the booziness. Mediocre.
Butelka z datą przydatności 08.02.2025, barwa złota, wysycenie wysokie, za duże, część piwa wyskoczyła z butelki. Piana oczywiście jest ogromna i zostawia koronkę na szkle. W aromacie i smaku nuty słodowe solidnie dopełnione nutami przyprawowymi, trochę fenolowymi. Alkohol delikatnie rozgrzewa, ale schowany jest bardzo dobrze. Ogólnie jest ok, ale bez szału.
Strong aroma of clove; also bread and biscuit. Taste is fairly sweet and bready. Pretty good though somewhat simple.
Aparência belissima,clara,dourada,espuma cremosa,espessa e duradoura,no nariz um mix de frutas amarelas(abacaxi,banana,pessego,damasco),malte e álcool;na boca um gostoso dulçor frutado, álcool aparecendo (muito bem inserido) dando uma "potência "ao conjunto;corpo alto,alta carbonatação,final e retrogosto frutado é levemente alcoólico.

Tweeschijn geelkleurig bier met een flinke witte schuimkraag die lang blijft staan. Geur is alcoholisch, kruidig (koriander) en licht bloemig. De smaak richt zich met name op de mout en de alcohol. De diepgang mist een beetje. Prettig mondgevoel. Het aanwezige koolzuur zal in staat zijn menig stukje vet BBQ-vlees goed weg te spoelen.
A standard Belgian strong ale flavor which, to me, is sweet, a little bitter, no hop spiciness, and i can taste the alcohol (though not in a bracing way). Tired of IPAs but looking for something just as strong? Try a Belgian ale like this one!

Aroma: Mild wheat, hoppy, corn and floral (really mild)
Appearance: Clear golden yellow with a small fast disappearing white head
Taste: Mildly sweet and bitter, wheat, banana, herbal and floral
Mouthfeel: Smooth watery texture with moderate carbonation
Overall: Smooth easy chuggable pilsner! Nice mouthfeel 😎

Haven't ever rated this! A rather standard golden strong ale, good but does not stand out in any way. A little herbal, sweet.
Forgettable, but not bad. The bottle is definitely the most unique thing about this beer. A bit too sweetish for me, I'm not a fan of sweetish Belgian ales. It's still worth a shot if you find it around
Tropical 🌴, exotic hints incorporated gently into a strong alcoholic drink, with a taste that oscillates between the blonde and the lager beer 🍺 variations...!!

Złociste, klarowne z obfitą białą pianą. Aromat belgijski, lekko przyprawowy i w tle słodowy. W smaku wytrawne ze słodową podbudową. Mocne w smaku, dosyć wysoko wysycone. Goryczka leciutka.
Draft at Hoppy Monk. Clear golden with with lacing white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast and clove. Sweet and malty. Nice.

Bière dorée limpide avec une belle mousse blanche. Au nez, c’est épicé avec du clou de girofle et du poivre, mais aussi fruité, notamment sur la pomme. Au passage en bouche, on garde le même rythme avec les notes épicées tout de suite présentes, avant l’arrivée d’une touche fruitée, voir herbacée. Finale légèrement acide et sèche.
Pas LA meilleure bière blonde Belge que j’ai gouté, mais c’est quand même le haut du panier. Une valeur sure !

1 pint 0.9 oz. (50cl) can, 8.5% ABV
AROMA: Sweet scents of lemon, banana, cloves, and yeast. NOTE: The clove really starts to come out as the beer starts to warm up to room temperature.
APPEARANCE: Pours a clear, straw-yellow, with a tall, white, tight head that dissipates at a moderate pace with moderate lacing. I'm a bit disappointed that the head doesn't last a bit longer, because it looks incredible when the beer is first poured.
TASTE: Mildly sweet on the front-end with flavors of banana, alcohol, green apple, and a hint of bubble-gum. The finish is slightly bitter and dry, with flavors comprised mostly of clove and a little lingering of banana.
MOUTHFEEL: Medium-bodied with average carbonation and a slightly tacky texture.
OVERALL: This is what I would consider to be a "typical" quality Belgian ale. It's got your usual high-alcohol with flavors of banana and clove. Although, those flavors don't seem to be as prominent as they are in most of the other Belgian ales I've tried . What I would consider a little less "typical" is the addition of the green apple flavor, and the overall dryness of the beer. The green apple adds a nice way to differentiate if from other Belgian ales. However, the dryness is a bit off-putting for me, as I'm used to Belgian ales being a bit juicer. But that's just a personal preference, and a bit of nit-pick on my part. Otherwise, I find the beer to be of top-notch quality, and quite lovely to drink.

0.33l bottle from Belga Sörmester. Big, white frothy head, very persistent. Hazy golden body. Aroma is yeasty, spicy, even stable-like a bit at first, then some hard-to-define fruits come forward. Tutti frutti, if you like. Taste is spicy and fruity (maybe grapes) and dry at the same time and a bit of refreshing sourness is also there. Strong carbonation, fizzy palate, long lasting dry and bitter aftertaste, a bit like champagne, which I usually do not like, but the complexity of this beer compensates for that.

Pours dark gold to amber color with regular head. Some fruity aroma. Taste quite balanced for a Belgian strong beer. Fruit notes, fruity nose, bit dry. Palate kinda juicy. Slightly bitter. Medium to low carbonation. Pretty pleasant, tasty, decent.
