Foray is all about the journey. Belgian yeast delivers hints of apple and pear which blend with the citrus hop aroma for a clean even finish. So no matter where you’re heading, this a trip worth taking.

3.7on tap @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Nearly clear bright copper amber color, solid white head cover, sheets of lace. Nose filling aroma of sweet malt and hops. Taste is IPA, not Belgian Ale. Crisp malt begins to grow sweeter, but is overcome by citrus hops that, while not too strong, are still able to blot out all traces of anything else. Very satisfying and thirst quenching, goes down with ease, a solid brew.
4.3This one really surprised me. Normally, I don't gravitate to the Belgians. However, I'm a really big fan of this Deschutes offering. It just has such a smooth, crisp and refreshing taste. My wife gets top marks for bringing this one home.
3.6(tap) bright, clear yellow colour with a medium tall, white head; aroma of stewed fruit; honey; citrus; balanced flavour with a long, medium bitter finish
3.8I had this at Global Brew. Pours gold with a white head. Taste Belgian yeast, citrus, sweet. I thought this was good. I would drink this again.
3.2From a bomber pours very light golden color slightly cloudy. Smell is sweet malty and yeasty. Decent beer but expected more as I like most Deschutes a lot.
4.0650ml bottle. Pale yellow, smallish head and lacing. Passionfruit and citrus on the nose. Smells Nelson Sauvin but points for not being overdone. Not a strong Belgian yeast character like Stone Cali Belgique for example but a nice smooth beer. Decent IPA overall.
2.3Pours a golden yellow with a light fruit aroma. Taste is crisp and lightly hoppy with a faint floral taste. Overall, good with no complexity.
4.1bottle. golden yellow with one finger head. very fruity belgian style ipa with tropical and citrus notes -- even some apple and peach. light to moderate bitterness. a very nice, very flavorful IPA.
3.7Bottle: Gold color with white head. Fruity aroma with a yeasty, fruity taste. Mellow hops on the finish. Not bad.
4.122 ounce bottle into tulip glass, best before 8/16/2015. Pours slightly hazy bright golden yellow color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big grapefruit, pineapple, peach, mango, melon, pear, apple, peppercorn, lemon zest, orange peel, light pine, cracker, bread, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of bright citrus/tropical hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, pineapple, peach, mango, melon, pear, apple, peppercorn, lemon zest, orange peel, light pine, cracker, bread, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Good amount of earthy yeast spiciness and piney bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, pineapple, peach, mango, melon, pear, apple, peppercorn, lemon/orange peel, light pine, cracker, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of bright citrus/tropical hops, fruit/spicy yeast, and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/spice/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and moderately crisp/sticky mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent Belgian IPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of bright citrus/tropical hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and moderate pale malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.
4.0Bomber bottle to shaker glass, pours hazy light golden, two plus finger tight head. Moderate lacing and nice retention. Aroma of pears and pine. Taste is nicely balanced, lightly sweet, pleasing moderate bitterness. Light bodied, lively carbonation, smooth mouth feel. Finishes dry. Tasting notes of pear, lemon, grass, spruce and just a hint of funk. This is very well done, perhaps the best Belgian IPA I’ve tasted!
3.8Poured clear light copper color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate to heavy complex yeast and citrus hop aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy yeast bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a good beer that exceeded my expectations.
3.8Bottle at a local beer dinner. Pours a deep gold with an ample head in a small flight glass. Some lacing. The aroma is light citrus, fresh pasture, slight dankness, and cereal. The taste is at first the bitter hops and fresh citrus flavors, and ends with a more mellow slight dankness. The balance is well done and flavors compliment each other. Lighter body, moderate carb. Very good.
3.8I’m usually not a fan of the "Belgian style- insert American style here" beers. This one works and works well. Aroma was nice. A little soapy with light malt and light fruit. Pour was a nice light straw gold with a half finger white head. Taste was delicious. The Belgian yeast was not in your face and sweet. Apple, pear and fresh cut grass with notes of lemon in the finish. Strong solid IPA and one of the best I’ve had in a while. Nice carbonation. I would buy this again
3.4one of the better belgium style ipas out there. not too yeasty. bitter boozy and hoppy bite to this beer. pours yellow with a thick lacey head. smells hoppy. had a bomber pour at home.
3.5This was not as good as I have come to expect from Deschutes. Great citrus aroma, though
3.9Pours *crazy* pale; almost like a pilsner. The colour is very pale. Aroma is loads of citrus and orange and mango. Taste js even better; lots of citrusy, sweet fruits; maybe even apple. Love it. Not quite Fresh Squeezed quality, but delicious.
3.822 oz bottle. Tasted on 6/2/15. Bottle courtesy of Espo. Drank from a Spiegal IPA glass. This was a nice light body IPA with a Belgian fruitiness to it. Good beer for summer.
3.3Hazy gold pour with a big soapy head. Aroma is apple/pear light banana, some yeasty chalkiness.
Flavour is pale fruit, light minerally tone, some lemony citrus.
3.6A nice Belgian style ipa good citrus, but the Belgian yeast doesn’t come through as much as,I would like.
2.1Another IPA. I am really getting sick of these, unfortunately they are all that is left for me to drink in this town.
3.7On tap at a massive outdoor bar in Philly for beer week. Light in color, the aroma is hoppy with some spice lying in wait. The flavor is hoppy an light with the Belguim spice coming thru. Crisp and refreshing.
4.0Pours bright hazy orange with a one finger white head with nice lacing. Aroma is of ripe fruits, citrus, pine, Belgian yeast, bready malts, and some light herbal hops. Taste is similar to the aroma. Has a medium body with a slightly creamy, semi -moderately bitter, slightly dry, medium-long finish. Overall, a pretty tasty belgo pale ale.

3.521 May 2015, tap. Gold, clear, no bubbles. Nose is sweet, floral, bubbles gum, yeast. Thin body and moderately fizzy. Skunky, pine, bitter yeast. Meh.
3.6Bottle pour clear lemon yellow with moderate white head. Nose weedy lemon and slightly sweet. Taste fruity lemon citrus, light fruit ester. Sweet character leads to light mid palate bitterness. Fairly easy to drink.
3.0Green hued golden with white persistent fine foam. Creamy feel and lightly acidic. Lightly bittersweet-bitter finish. Aroma is tropical, mango, citrus and pome fruit. Dusty tobacco aroma also present is less compatible. What would be like less bitter and cloudy?
3.5Bomber from whole foods. Light hazy gold pour, fizzy white head. Smells like outdoors, wet grass and northwest forest, banana orange and sweet white wine. Taste is citra, pine, some banana pear and citrus fruit. Effervescent and enjoyable. Good choice!
3.2Bottle. Pale gold with chill haze dense white head and lace. Weird cardboardy fruity mint clove aroma. Tropical fruit apricot mild sweetness with minty spicy citrusy bitterness. Light with high carbonation. Something about wither the yeast esters or the hop that doesn’t work for me. Still good.
3.5Citrus and Citra hops, fruity Belgian esters. Cloudy dull golden color with a average head of white colored foam. Tangy and slightly sour wheat malt with bitter lemon peel in the finish; sour citrus hops with a moderate level of bitterness. Medium body, smooth and silky. Pretty good and different from expected. I like it.
3.9Pure golden pour, white head. Nice lacing. Aroma is a delicate floral boquet, apple, pear, slight citrus, banana, hay. Taste is the same, with a hint of spice. This is well balanced: just enough IPA/Farmhouse to go round. Lovely.
