First brewed at Bosteels, transfered to the Champagne region of France were it is treated much like a champagne with the bottles inverted and the yeast expunged and bottle recorked.

3.3Bottle from Wine Reserve, Cobham. Only bought this because I confused Flanders with Leige and thought it would be my final Belgian region tick. Aroma is vinous and sweetly fruity with a dry edge. Golden amber. Bubbly translucent white head soon disappears almost entirely. Medium bitter with underlying syrupy fruits. Vinous. Light-medium bodied. Thin if slick. Benefits from soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry finish. It's fine. When I was at Uni I'd go to a gig and in order to make my money go further I'd buy some cheap wine to get pissed on beforehand. I have a fuzzy memory that this beer is reminiscent of those wines but cost 3 - 4 times as much.
3.0Notas a albahaca, huevos, azufrados y perfume. Con una espuma generosa aunque fugaz. Persiste un dulzor al final.
4.0Bottle
Aroma-floral, fruits
Appearance-golden, hazy, white head
Taste-light sweetness, bitterness, sourness
Palate-medium body, sticky, average carbonation, long finish
Overall-very good
3.4Bottle, 2017. Almost 4 months after best before date, but no sign of decay. Color: Clear golden, lot of tiny carbonation bubble going up in the glass, like champagne. Thin white head. Aroma: Malty, some herbal and yeasty notes, fruity hints, bit white wine-like. Taste: Over moderate sweet, moderate bitterness, malty, yeasty, notes of banana, herbal cinnamon / clove / ginger, some fruity stone fruit / yellow fruit, apple and hints of orange. White wine like flavours and mouthfeel. Dry mouthfeel. Quite unusual, most champagne-like beer I've tasted. Nice complexity, I can see the potention and understand why a lot of people give a fairly high rating but somehow this just isn't my kind of beer.
3.8Bottle 2015 . Pale golden pour with lots of carbonation very champagne like but a quickly receding head .... aroma of spicy ginger, light clove, banana and belgian yeast .... taste is of ginger, clove, belgian fruit yeast, banana and dry ... nice spicy and soft, not as carbonated as I thought it would be .... Crisp and clean finish ... abrupt finish but of ginger and clove .... great and very sessionable brew
5.0Favorite. Great champagne type beer. Expensive but worth it.
3.7Champagne bier
4.3Brilliant yellow, white head.
Citrus, dried apricots, metallic
Full bodied, dried yellow fruits, some banana, very fine perlage, clearly Belgian yeast, medium sweet. Complex.
4.3Drinking it from a Champagne glass.
Pale yellow with a foam and bubbles like Champagne.
More the smell of a white wine than a beer.
Strong alcohol taste with notes of sparkling apple cider and an agreeable, not too heavy sweetness. Dry and bitter aftertaste.
3.5750ml bottle at We Brought Beer Bottleshare. As good as I remembered. Very sessionable with just the right amount of champagne yeast.
4.0Great look with very fine bubbles and fine white foam. Very dry with slightly sweet finish.
3.275 cl fles. Helder goudblond bier met wit schuim. Geur: licht zoet, mout, wat floraal, fruitig, appel. Smaak: zoet, suiker, wat gistkarakter, fruitig, rode zoete appel, alcoholisch. Sprankelende koolzuurprikkel. Waarom zo zoet?
4.4Wow this is a great beer. Citrus that leans toward fake lemony, pepper, a little ginger, some nice yeasty notes all over a mild grassy sweet malt. Worth it.
4.1Golden color, white head. Ginger nose, Belgian, spicy, cloves. Belgian yeast taste with fruity esters, spicy, malty, hay, sweet notes, complex. Full body, soft carbonation.

2.8Bottle. A birthday gift off Hydes. Drunk at the local byo kebab place. Pale, green tinged gold. No head. Nose has cardboard. Some fusty lemon. Bit of a leathery thing. Weird shit this. Taste has some bready sweetness. Pretty dry. Medium body. Fine, massaging carbonation. Drinks easy at the ABV. Light bitter finish. Weirdly underwhelming.
4.3From a corked bottle. Pours light gold with small head. Aroma of light grain, ginger, pear, apple. Significant carbonation and mouthfeel. Flavors of sparkling apple juice, honey, pear, ginger, love. I've had this brew many times over the last 20 years and this time it really stands out as more than just a champagne type beer, but at the Seattle International Beerfest it was the best beer for me, refreshing, sophisticated, smooth and delicious.
3.6From 0,75l bottle at Sanders place. Yellow golden color, small white head. Smells herbal, elder flowers, nice smell. Full body, soft carbonation. Tastes of elder flowers, flowery, light sweetness, Belgian yeast, grassy. Finishes lightly sweet with notes of elder flower, Belgian yeast and grassy notes. Nice one, good to drink
4.0Helder geel bier met ruime witte schuimkraag. Citrus, bloemig, zoet, met niet te. Blijft lang hangen. Beter dan dame Jeanne
3.8Was tending to some homebrew in my basement and stumbled upon a long-forgotten bottle of Deus I had squìrreled away, vintage 2005. Was a bit worried, to be honest, that it had gone off after all that time, but the 14 or so years didn't seem to adversely affect the golden elixir whatsoever. Chilled to the recommended 2°C and it poured a very fizzy, white head that quickly and completely disappeared in the champagne flute. Pronounced ginger note up front and a bit of mellow Belgian funkiness made for a very enjoyable evening sipper with the better half. Will definitely be looking for another bottle in the near future for comparison's sake (and not waiting 14 years to drink it this time, haha).
4.1Champagne beer, yest and pretty dry
3.4Copenhagen 30/3 2019. 75 cl bottle from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb F. Corked with metal keeping everything in place. Brown label made out to look hand drawn with a couple of Hippogriffs. Cuvée Prestige 2017.
Pours clear pale yellow with a medium-sized white head. Bubbly. Settles as flimsy thin layer of foam. Patchy and unable to cover the surface of the beer. Resembles a Champagne or Cremant. No Lacing.
Aroma is spicy, citric and quite yeasty. Cardamom, ginger, coriander. Acerbic citrus. Hints of banana, humid basement and yeast.
Strong carbonation. Wildly prickly, tingling, slightly thick texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a slightly stronger citric sour bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter sweet and lingers for a short while.
Very Champagne-like and vineous in character. Kind of camouflages the fairly High ABV of 11,5. A bit too heavy on the herbal stuff but well made and an amusing concept.
3.8Aroma: light lemon, touch of stone fruit & hop
Appearance: nicely yellow with a touch of haze, big head with patching lacing and lots of fine bubbles
Flavour: hit of citrus, floral and stone fruit blended with sweet malt and noticeable spiritous, reminiscent of lemon cello
Palate: nicely carbonated, good medium mouthfeel, finishes a touch herbal
3.624 February 2019. Wieze Bierfestival - cheers to Meeki, Ama Deke & the lovely Anke!
In a suitable champagne glass, pours clear pale golden with a lasting, thin, frothy, off-white head; pleasantly fizzing at the edge. Aroma of apple cider, dried banana, wheat, white grape, white pepper, breadcrust, melon, flowers, perfume. Taste is light fruity sweet, notes of banana, apple, pear, and weirdly, melon, almost cider-like, next to faint honey & bread & perfumey accents; medium spicy bitter middle has white grape, pepper, aniseed, vague grain & yeast. Just a tad wheaty sour before finishing dryish, bit floral hoppy, lingering banana, bread, spices, and warming champagne-like alcohol. Medium body, creamy texture, lively carbonation. Definitely a succesful brew, agreeable too, although I'm glad I got to taste one glass at the festival, not having to buy a whole bottle of it...
3.5Ocena uzupełniana na podstawie wspomnień z degustacji. Wyglada jak szampan, smakuje bardziej jak wino jabłkowe. Intrygujące
4.0Mooie kleur met fijne bubbeltjes, uitbundige geur van hop ( teveel voor mij ), overdreven bittere smaken
4.3Bubbly, apples, citus nice beer thata strong but with out that huge alcohol taste
