3.5 Bottle. Pours a golden color. Aroma of light citrus, herb, grain, floral. Medium light bitter. Light fruits. Medium light body. Average carbonation. Some maltiness. It's pretty smooth and easy to drink. Doesn't punch you in the mouth with hops. Pretty good.
3.4 Bottle at Macs. Clear orange rust pour with a large white head. Thick lace. Sharp hops. Mandarins. Dark bread. Orange crust. Earth. Pine. Big brought down easy, but still a tightrope challenge.
3.0 Draft at O'Malley's Pub in Virginia for Cap 1 opening. Served in a frosted glass, it's so cold there's ice shards floating in it. An all around average IPA once it warms up a bit. Malty, heavy pine, citrus. Dry finish. Ok.
4.4 Crisp, hoppy flavor with a smooth finish on the palate. Overall good drinking beer. I would absolutely buy this IPA again.
2.6 Bottle. Gold with an average. Head. Average IPA taste, average IPA aroma. Just an average IPA.
3.4 Can from Total Wines. amber in colour, with a slight, white, head. Citrus hops, sweetish, biscuity, malts, some tangerine fruits and lingering, bitter, finish. Good.
3.0 Half decent ipa with a sharp medium bitter taste . Notes of fruit Refreshing aftertaste
2.7 Pours a clear deep golden orange with a big foamy white head. Strong herbal grassy aroma. Taste is very dry, herbal and very bitter. Reminds me of Quinine. Tastes more like a lager than an IPA? Not refreshing or enjoyable. Leaves a strong lingering bitter aftertaste.
2.5 My bottle says 6.2%. Overall nice but a little bitter for an ipa. What more can I say to get to 75 characters?
2.8 Bottle at Royal Palms in Bermuda. Nothing west coast about this - but maybe it is aging from transport and demand in Bermuda. Cloying and sweet with no hip presence. Clear copper with moderate white head.
3.4 This IPA pours a light golden color with a nice off-white head that leaves some really beautiful lacing inside the glass. The flavors are bitter and very floral with a dry finish.
2.9 Citrus and pine on the nose. You get a malty caramel taste followed by the good bitterness you expect from an IPA. Good beer but I can see how the aftertaste may be off putting to some. It lingers a little...
3.6 Bottle from Premier Gourmet. IPA pour. Citrus & pine. Somewhat light malty, in a solid enough blend Finishes to the bitter side of bittersweet. Solid. A shame they went to AB. 13.5
3.7 Bottle from Root Cellar. CCC ALFOWHLEL MBSLTSC MHEBSF MHEBSF MLD. Solid beer.
1.3 Taste is just too bitter and the flavor made me instantly regret my choice. I love IPA's but can see how this one would make folks think they are terrible. The aroma is pretty bad as well.
3.6 On tap at the Richmond airport. Clear amber with a resilient, frothy, heavily lacing cream colored head. Aroma of toast and pine. Tastes toasty and moderately bitter; well balanced. Medium bodied, crisp and smooth.
3.6 Malt forward IPA. Toasty. Darkish amber but very clear. Nice balancing fruity hops. Solid.
2.8 Pours hazy dark straw with off-white head. Nose is dank hops, pine. Tastes hoppy, resiny, with finishing dankness.
2.9 Sampled on draft this beer poured a caramel color with a small foamy beige head that left minimal lacing. The aroma was tangy fruity hops, lemon and a touch of earthiness. The flavor was tangy and sweet with lemon, grapefruit, and a bit of pine. Medium length finish. Medium body. Ok.
2.8 This didn’t do much for me. The flavor is hoppy but just not very good. Poor aftertaste.
4.5 Great beer!
3.6 Slightly hazy, gold pour with a frothy, white head. The aroma has herbal and pine hop notes. It has a medium body with oily texture and average carbonation. The taste is bitter with a long, smooth finish.
2.2 Dark gold with persistent white head. Creamy full body with moderately high carbonation. Soapy dank and citrus hops, crystal malt, lingering herbal bitterness, and faint hints of butyric acid.
3.1 Ugh I wish non-west coast Brewers would stop classifying their IPAs as "west coast style" when the beers are so malt forward. This wasn’t a bad beer. Very balanced between caramel malt and earthy hops. Aroma was decent. A little soapy with some pine and earthiness. Pour was a nice medium gold with a thin off white film for a head. Taste was good. Caramel malt in the front with a hot and bitter hoppy finish. A little thin and one dimensional but not any worse than any other run of the mill IPA. Decent carbonation.
3.7 Great session (5.9) beer. Brief floral opening settles into a hoppiness that seems to represent more than 60 IBUs. Medium-high carbonation, medium bodied. Tasty.
3.8 Bottle. Golden color with a nice frothy white head and medium lacing. Aroma is floral with notes of resinous pine, grapefruit and some lemon zest. It is moderately bitter. Just a very nice IPA.
3.3 12oz bottle. Poured an amber color with a small sized off white head. Floral with some fruitiness.
3.3 on tap at Applebee’s in Mooresville NC (north of Charlotte) - nice deep golden color. Hoppy and fruity aroma and flavor.
3.9 12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 3/6/2017. Pours crystal clear golden/amber color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with awesome retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Dense soapy lacing clings around the glass. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, mango, papaya, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, pine, light honey, toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, mango, papaya, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, pine, light honey, toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus rind/grassy/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, pineapple, peach, mango, papaya, lemon/orange rind, pepper, pine, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a nice malt bitterness balance; slight lingering hop astringency, but not overwhelming. Moderate dryness from lingering bitterness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately sticky/resinous/rindy, and fairly bready/grainy balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol for 6.2%. Overall this is a very nice IPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink; despite the increasingly bitter/drying finish. Great vibrant hop flavors, with a solid malt backbone with minimal residual sweetness. Just a tad too aggressively bitter/drying, this was still really enjoyable.
3.6 Tasted from a 12oz. bottle. It poured a golden hue with a light beige head. Aroma of hops, pine, and a bit of grapefruit. Bitter hop taste with a bit of grapefruit. A rustic outdoor type of IPA. Not bad, but not outstanding.
