3.2 Copper color with a bread and malt aroma. Some earthy hop aroma. Taste is crisp, herbal hop, not overly bitter, with a bready and balanced sweet malt, caramel flavor.
3.4 Draft at Barley Mac. Pours an amber brown with a thin off white head. Malt smells. Tastes of malt and bread and raisins. Nicely balanced. Low carbonation. Tasty.
4.1 Pretty good beer. I liked it. This is the one I was hoping would always be at the saucer and they don’t have it anymore.
3.0 Pours clear chestnut with a thin, tan head. Aroma is light caramel and light hops. Taste is thin caramel, moving to roast and light hops. Finish is roast.
3.0 It is not my kind of beer. The taste is very mainstream somewhat refreshing with caramel flavor and a slight bitter finish. That is about it.
3.7 Surprisingly smooth reddish Vienna lager. Nice and refreshing. I would definitely order this again.
3.2 Amber color, malty and bready nose and flavor, light but tasty enough......
2.7 I like this as far as Larger goes, at 2.7 I feel it’s a little above average. 5.2% ibu 18 amber color, mild, toasted and caramel notes (as described)
3.3 Draft. Copper color with a white head. It has a bitter taste with some caramel notes. Serve extremely cold.
3.1 In der Flughafen Launch in DC - Dulles. Klares rötliches Bernstein. Aroma: Malz, etwas Karamell, Ahorn. Leicht cremiger Antrunk, aber auch wässrig zu Beginn. Malz, Karamell, Ahorn
4.0 It is a good beer. Very smooth. Will definitely drink this beer again. Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
3.4 12 ounce bottle at the house, got in a trade. Smell the malt. Amber in color. Thin white head. Taste toasted malt and some caramel. Smooth on the palate with a grainy after taste. Pretty good stuff. Cheers!
2.8 Bottle pour. Light wheaties aroma to it. First sip is pretty mild with Budweiser taste of wheat, in other words not a lot here. A hint of sweetness.
3.3 12 oz single bottle from Total Wine & More - Springfield, VA. Clear golden to amber colored appearance. Malty and smooth with mild sweetness and a clean finish. Solid.
2.9 Drank when I didn't have time to review. Just getting around to updating now.
3.2 Nice amber/copper color; Medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of toasted malt, some hops, & caramel; Flavor of caramel malt, hops, and fruit/citrus notes; Crisp finish; Refreshing - pretty decent lager.
4.0 12 ounce bottle into lager glass, bottled on 4/3/2018. Pours crystal clear deep orange/amber/light copper color with a 1 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big cracker, brown sugar, brown bread crust, and toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of nuttiness, caramel, pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great complexity bready malts and light earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big cracker, brown sugar, brown bread crust, and toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of nuttiness, caramel, pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Light herbal, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of cracker, brown sugar, brown bread crust, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness/pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity and robustness of bready malts and light earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no astringent flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp/clean finishing. Perfectly clean on lager flavors, with no fruity/yeasty notes present. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, bready/grainy, and lightly creamy/sticky mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.2%. Overall this is an excellent Vienna lager. All around great complexity and robustness of bready malts and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and pretty refreshing to drink with the mellowly bitter/drying finish. This is kind of leaning on the Dunkel side of things, but not overly sweet. Very clean and rich Vienna/Munich malt flavors, with nice earthy noble hop balance. A very enjoyable offering, and well made style example.
3.2 Draft at The Boatyard in Annapolis. Dark amber with thin head. Malty, caramel and vanilla, smooth, not hoppy.
3.0 Amber with a thin head and a caramel nose. Lightly-carbonated and thin with a caramel finish. Some alcohol notes. This one was old so my rating would likely be higher with a fresh beer.
3.2 I like this lager its fairly refreshing and easy to drink on a hot summer day! Love it really
3.7 It’s toasty and little bitter. Nice color and ehh aroma. I wouldn’t purchase it unless on tap.
2.7 On tap at Maryland Live. Actually an ok amber...leans a little an the sweet side and could use some more hops. Flavor is caramel malt, bread...kind of watery though. Darker amber to light brown appearance. Got it free with comp points but not one I'd purchase with so many better ones out there.
2.8 Found on tap in Alexandria, Virginia. Appealing mild Orange appearance. To me it was more of a middle of the road beer for the style. Not horrible just not great. Best as a summer beer.
2.9 This is a mild sessionable brew. Mild toast, caramel, and very straightforward hops, a touch of bitter.
4.0 Smooth, drinkable, but not really flavorful.
3.1 Draft at Big Stick. Dark, clear Amber, small cap of creamy head. Aroma is pure caramel malts. Taste is also caramel, straight forward, nothing else. For what it is, no frills, decent. Nice feel
3.0 On tap. Copper color with a thin white head. Aromas of sweet malt and a hint of fruitiness. Toasted caramel malt, slight fruitiness and fresh bread in the finish. Mild and smooth. Not exceptionally flavorful, but in line with the style.
2.6 Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured an orange-caramel color with a large fluffy orange-tan head that lingered and left minimal lacing. The aroma was sweet and tart with Pez and perfumey hops. The flavor was tangy, a bit perfumey and had light notes of yeast and caramel. Medium length finish. Medium body.
3.5 Bottle. Light brown color. Average head. Nice caramel flavor malts, subtle hops, crisp finish, Slight toasted. Above average carbonation. This is good stuff.
