3.9Bottled 341ml. -at Svijet Piva Zagreb. Clear golden coloured, small to medium sized white head, spicy yeasty nose. Spicy, yeasty, light citrusy hoppy and touch of alcohol with dryish fruity finish. Quite pleasant, well done.
3.7Bottle from Beer Republic. Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, yeasty and light spicy. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish with warming alcohol. Oily. 180818
3.9Bottle at Svijet Piva. Hazy golden, white head. Fruity, estery, spicy aroma, nice! Modern hops mingling with esters. Taste... Creamy vinuous-tropical hops on a lean-dry spicy background which does retain some sweetness. Lovely drop, excellent take on the style.
4.0341ml bottle. Pours golden with a light haze, big frothy pillowy white head. Aroma is citrus, floral, herbal, pepper, yeasty. Taste of citrus fruits and zest, lemon, floral and herbal, peppery spicy yeast, dry bitter finish with a touch of alcohol. Medium bodied, soft carbonation. Even at 10.2% this is a supremely drinkable "new world tripel", really liked the hops in this.
4.0Flowers, spices, citrus and tropical fruits in nose. Pours golden with white lacy head. Taste is dry to medium dry with tropical fruits, spices, citrus and cereal. Medium bitter finish, lively to average carbonation, well hidden alcohol. Overall excellent stuff.
4.0Bevuta il 12/05/2018 @ExtraomnesBier&Cibo di Castellanza (VA) durante il Tripel Pride. Alla spina. Taster 15cl. Ambrato chiaro. Schiuma bianca cremosa e persistente.
4.2Bottle (xx-xx-xx). Appearance: very nice hazy lightly orangey yellow, thick white foam getting rather quickly into thin laces, low to medium carbonation. Smell: nice fruity esters, with low to no hops. Taste: notes of apricot, mango, pineapple and perhaps bananas, medium bitterness and low to medium sugar, good texture but a bit less drinkable than I remembered from past years, most likely due to boozy feel. Overall: above average take on a great style, awesome aromatic profile, but a bit too boozy.
4.016/X/17 - 341ml bottle from Geers (Oostakker), shared @ home - BB: 19/XII/16 (or was this bottle date? Probably, cause it only showed up on the shelves in July 2017) (2017-1793)
Clear blond to orange beer, big creamy off-white head, irregular bit stable, adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: pretty fruity start, yeast, some banana, sweet malts. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: very sweet and sugary malts, some strawberry jam, soft bitterness, alcohol, some tropical fruits, grapefruit touch. Aftertaste: bitter, sweet malts, caramel, alcohol, some citrus, fruity, bit sugary, jam. More of a young barley wine than a Tripel, if you ask me. Misses the typical Belgian (banana) yeast profile to be classified as a Tripel.
4.1Flaska inköpt i Rom.
3.5Pours with virtually no head. A few big bubbles over a viscous, resiny amber color. The aroma is distinctive and nothing like a typical tripel. Juicy hops that suggest pineapple, orange and passion fruit. Subtle depth comes from burnt caramel and peppery spice. Wow. Super herbaceous on the tongue. The bitterness is not aggressive but approaches you from all sides. A combination of grapefruity hops, burnt sugar and dry spices create a rather medicinal brew. Heavy sweetness is present in the form of molasses and mango chutney, but counterbalanced by slight saltiness and herbal flavors of rosemary and bay leaf. A very odd brew, but curiosity keeps me coming back for another sip. Finishes on a strong peppery note. The strange combination of flavors harmonize surprisingly well. A fun beer to have when you're in the mood for something different.
3.7Yellow, slight haze. Bit of white foam. Sweet Belgian yeast nose, honey and grains. Slight sour edge there. Decently hopped so the sweetness is well covered and drinks much smoother than I expected. Nice herbal sweet-dry finish. Well done, tripel I can drink.
4.0Very nice hoppy aroma and some yeast. Very nice firm white head. Creamy head. Very nice palate. Very creamy. Nice balance hop and yeast in taste. Very smooth. Nearly too smooth?
3.7Bottle. Looks like a Belgian with that bright orange gold hue. Hazy and sporting a larger almost white head. Active carbonation rises slowly. A rich fruity and yeasty aroma. Feel is also rich. That rich fruit is tasted along with alcohol. Bread and yeast are prominent. Toffee, tangerine. There is a lot to ferment here. Good.
4.0Bottle 341 ml. Belle couleur or et mousse convenable.
4.0Pours a small amount of foamy beige head that doesn’t stay very long. Ok lacing as a result. Has a slightly cloudy golden appearance. Aromas of exotic fruits, strong citrus hops, breads and sweet malts. Flavours of oranges and mangoes are noticeable. Has a bit of that citrus tang. Also floral hops and definitely some spices. Even a bit yeasty. Grapefruits flavour in the finish. Warm and tingling sensation. Nice bitterness. A bit of a wet mouthfeel. The fruitiness masks the alcohol feel quite a bit which is a good thing. Good stuff!
3.6Shared 341ml bottle. Hazy gold, white head. Aroma of citrus, herbs and white pepper. Taste is citrus, orange zest, alcohol, herbs, more white pepper.
3.3Aroma: interesting; almost like the yeasty smell in a brewery; addition of some kind of vegetable - can’t place it; Appearance: hazy golden pour with creamy white head that lingers; Taste: sour, funky, lemony with some coriander; not my favorite; Palate: medium body with long, spicy finish; Overall: can appreciate it but wouldn’t want again.
3.9Cloudy deep copper-golden with a sticky off white foamy cap. Light herbal and musty semisweet Belgian golden malts with a kiss of citrus. Full Belgian pale malty flavor with a kiss of semisweet candi sugar tones, with sage and some other herbal tones I can’t put my finger on. Lightly citric and bready and full.
Corpo medio e alcol ben presente, finale appena fruttato. Grande triple.
3.8Bottle, 341mL. Home. A golden orange clear beer with a medium white head ; medium retention ; ok lacing. Fruits + (citrus such as lime and grapefruit ; tropical fruits), herb, light resin, light caramel, sugar, alcohol. Medium round sweet, medium dry bitter warming ; light fresh episodes. Full body, light to medium oily texture ; soft carbonation ; bittersweet fruity strong finish. Overall, very good !
3.9Clear golden body, medium white head. Aroma of ripe litchi, pineapple, other exotic fruits. Flavours of ripe litchi, caramel, exotic fruits, yeast. Medium warm fruity finish, fairly bitter and dry. Yummy
4.0Bottle @ home. Pours a cloudy yellow liquid and an off white lasting head with good duration and nice lacing. It has typical citra notes nicely blended with tripel characteristics. Aroma is dry. Taste and Aroma of orange, lemon, white pepper, vanilla, almonds, herbs, tangerine. Crisp finish. Very nice.
Nickel!
3.7Keg at FOB for Journee Peche. It pours a clean golden color with a large white head. Aroma is spicy and seeet initially with notes of orange peel and caramel, then it has some grassy herbal Citric hops to cut through the sweetness. Taste is also quite sweet up front with notes of alcohol, spices, candies orange peel, grass and lemon leaves. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, tasty
Mangue. Abricot. Lavande. Poivre rose. Finale fruit (mangue) séché et houblonné. Excellente bière.
