3.82015 bottle. 11.5 oz. The beer is a dark brown with a lasting head of beige foam. Looks like an Imperial Stout with how viscous the beer pours. The aroma has boozy dark fruit, leather, and oak. I pick ip more subtle spice character, but sweet and fruity still. Bigger body and medium carbonation. Kind of boozy. Great beer that has held up will to aging.
3.7Bottle at home, köszi Kini! Pours jet black with long lasting off-white head. Nose is coffee, roasted malts, earthy notes, low spicy touch. Taste is sweet booze upfront, then some coffee and roasted notes again, an earthy touch. In the finish there perhaps is a spicy, somewhat estery touch, but other than this I get nothing from the saison character. Medium to heavy body, light to average carbonation. Something's missing from in there, but I can't quite put my hands on what is.
3.2Caramel chocolate malt raspberry aroma. Dark brown colour poor head and lacing. Malt caramel bitter biscuit chocolate flavour. Flat palate.
(Kolejny raz wyczuwam chmiel w dwuletnim saisonie, więc to pewnie jakieś estry jednak).
Usta: ostre, przyprawowe, delikatny alkohol.
4.0341 ml, bottle conditioned, unfiltered, BB Nov 22nd 2020. Pour is thick and gloopy, dark mahogany, medium mocca coloured head. Aromas of roasted malts and chocolate. Rich mouthfeel, well carbonated. Flavours of dark roasted malts, brett, salt, sugar, bitter dark chocolate and dark caramel.
3.7On tap at Brewski, pours near black w/rocky head, aroma a bit smokey & bretty. The roasted malt carries through to the palate w/a touch of cherry. Full body but clean dry finish
4.3Draught @ You’ll Never Walk Alone, Kolding. Pours cloudy nearly black with stable tan head. Clear aroma of yeast and fruit, with touches of malt. Bitter, roasty flavour with notes of hops and coffee and touches of malt, yeast and fruit. Roasty aftertaste with estery and perfumy hints. Creamy mouthfeel. Warming alcohol presence. Very nice.
3.6330 ml bottle. Pours a deep, dark coffee brown, near black, with an inch of tan head that settles into a thick ring and film, leaving trailing lace behind. Notes of dark chocolate, earth, citrus peel, florals, dusty and musty funk, and a bit of rubber. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a bitter, earthy mouthfeel. It’s several years old but drinks like an imperial black IPA.
3.6Black with quick fading head. Aroma is quite fruity and spicy. Lots of yeast. Good body. Flavour is very floral and herbal with a background of slightly burnt bitterness. Interesting twist on a saison.
4.1Pours black, a thin but lasting brow head with great lacing. Aroma of dark malts, caramel, chocolate, spruce. Tastes bitter, burnt caramel, nutty, chocolate, grass and licorice. Full bodied, very thick for this style, soft carbonation and long bitter finish. Atypical saison, closer to a stout, but a great winter beer!
3.8Bottle. Opaque black color with tanned head. Aroma has earthy notes, dark malt, fruits, caramel, chocolate and vanilla. Taste is malty sweet with long quite sweet aftertaste. Flavors of caramel, dark malt, dark chocolate, fruits and some earthly elements. Imperial stout body but fruits, earthy notes and quite high carbonation. A bit strange but tasty.
3.7341 ml bottle, served in red wine glass. It pours pitch black with some brown highlights, almost no head but a tan ring. Aroma is intense: cocoa, rum, coffee, toast. Soft and velvety, with a warm and boozy body. Really dark, long-lasting finish.
3.6Deep brown to black color, brown head. Roasted malt nose, sweet licorice, Belgian yeast, fruity notes, light spicy, nuts, hint of alcohol. Roasted malt taste, alcohol, bitter coffee, raw licorice, fruity yeast, hint of ginger, bitter finish. Full body, average to fizzy carbonation, oily texture.

3.8Licorice, Coffee, vanilla, earthy, chocolate, slightly spicy, alcohol, you can feel the yeastiness.
Deep Brown colour, medium Brown head, lacing.
Heavy yeastiness, Soy sauce, licorice, smoked meat, alcohol, rather hoppy.
Fullbodied, soft carbonation, creamy feel, yeasty and roasty finish.
Superb quality, but the marriage between yeast and malt Bill is an uneasy one.
3.4Jet black. Deep brown head without a tonne of lasting power. Aroma is burnt toast and savoury spices. Taste is fig, black pepper, and coffee. Slightly sour finish.
3.6Piana obfita, ale sycząca, gruba, szybko znika. Barwa czarna, nieprzejrzysta.
3.90.341l bottle. Black body with a fairly quickly disappearing loose brown head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, blackberries, nutmeg and even a tiny bit of smoke. Taste of chocolate, coffee, floral hops, blackberries, grapes and pepper. The saison yeast gives it a subtle twist. Nice one.
4.233cl bottle from Abeervinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours dark, almost black, with high brownish foam, quickly fading. Aroma is winey, roasted, barrel-aged (oxidation). Body is dense with moderate carbonation. Taste has a nice sweetness, matched by a good bitterness, and a saison spark of spiciness. Finish is long and complex.
3.5341ml bottle from Bottle, Mug and Boiler in Moscow. Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, yeast, dried fruits. Taste is light sweet, roasted malt, spices, toffee. Dry finish.
4.2341 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 9.5%. Black colour, large tan head. Very nice roasty and spicy aroma. High level of carbonation. Roasty and spicy flavour too, notes of coffee, dark chocolate and black pepper, distinct bittering hops. Excellent beer.
3.9A boozy ara of bourbon, plums and a hint of cheese, pours a reddish black color with a thin tan head. A taste of plums and bourbon with a lighter body oiled feel with a bitter phenolic finish.
Czekolada, kawa, Saison. Nie piłem jeszcze czegoś podobnego.
4.3From cervezasespeciales. In Teku glass. Playing Avernum 3. More a black IPA than a black saison, and fairly good at that, but didnt find any funk notes reminding a saison. Very foamy, requiring 2 pours. High drinkability, abv well concealed
3.5Bottle 33 cl. Black with a minimal light brown head. BURNED malt with a spices sense. Sweet, light bitterness with a BURNED malt and spices end.
