Dieu du Ciel! Rosée d'Hibiscus

The Rosée d’Hibiscus is a soft spoken wheat beer. The rose colour comes from the hibiscus flowers added during the brewing process. The aromas and flavour of this tropical flower are very prominent in the beer, giving it a slight acidity and a very agreeable fragrance. It is the perfect thirst quencher on a hot summer day.

3.0 From backlog. Taster at Cafè Sara. Cloudy reddish with offwhite head. Malts, spices and herbs.

3.1 Robe rose framboise, presque fluo, trouble. Mousse éphémère. Nez plein d'hibiscus. Très fraîche. Attaque acide, pas de sucre. Hibiscus et froment très perceptibles. Douce amertume en fin de bouche. Original.

3.6 11.2oz bottle: this one pours a clear, rose wine color. There was about no head or lacing on it. Floral nose with a hint of wheat in the background. Nice flavor. Faint wheat, flavors from the hibiscus, and a very faint tartness in the background. Nice.

3.3 Hazy reddish pink colour with just a bit of foam. Aroma is spicy with intense floral and herbal infusion notes. Taste is spicy and floral with a light bitterness on the finish. Medium body and carbonation.

3.0 Bottle at home. Pours a pale reddish brown color with a small off-white head. Aroma of red currants, flowers, lemonade, strawberry jam, candy and caramel. Flavour of herbs, caramel, rose leaf, cough drop and heather. Has a silky mouth feel, light to medium body and a light bitterness. The flowers are definitely present all the way. Interesting and a little strange though.

3.5 Caña en el Lúpulo Oviedo 01..06.. 2018. Color ámbar rojizo rubí oscuro turbio con espuma blanca hueso. Sabores cereales y buena dosis de ibiscos que la hace parecer casi una infusión. Ligeros dulces y poco amargo, algo seca. Cuerpo ligero fácil de beber. Suerte que me gusta el ibisco. Buena.

3.1 Pours a light red colour with little head. Hard to discern aroma outside today. Sour taste...bitter aftertaste. Glad I tried a sample and didn’t shell out for this at LCBO.

3.1 Draft at Cinder. Hazy reddish amber pour with an off-white foamy ring. Hibiscus and berry flavors muted somewhat by the wheat. Rose hips. Raspberry. Bit tart. Slightly syrupy but not overly sweet. Aftertaste feels off.

3.7 0,341 flaske fra helsekosten i Verksgata, på Action mai-18: lett uklar rosagylden med fint skum som varer. Friskt og floralt anslag med hibiskus og deilige citrustoner og ettter hvert et fint hint av bringebær og rips gjorde denne til et forfriskende og smaksrikt følge til filmen (som var grensesprengende tåpelig i sin usannsynlighet, men det er jo det vi liker i filmklubben vår!). En superfrisk, passe bærsyrlig og litt annerledes sommerøl som jeg gjerne kjøper igjen.

3.0 Gylden brun klar med lavt hvitt skum. Lukter smør og noe bær. Middels fylde. Smaker søt karamell, røde bær og smør. Middels lang.

2.9 Bottle. Pours hazy reddish amber with large white head. Aroma is malt, caramel, lemon, flowers and fudge. Taste is medium sweet light bitter and medium acidic. Body is oily with light sparkling carbonation. Finish is medium long and balanced sweet and acidic with notes of rhubarb.

4.5 Pours with no head really. Color is cloudy bronze. Floral and "aphrodisiac" aroma has mild strawberry, rose hip, slightly overripe banana, a pinch of vanilla sugar, Fazer Pätkis -bar. Palate is (again) flawless for this style of beer. Smooth (but not overly), light, but still balanced and has some weight to it (but not too much). Taste somewhat follows the aroma, it's quite harmonious to the aroma. Rosehip is more pronounced, now there's also noticeable marsipan, a hint of (scented) laundry detergent, some not too dark (wheat) ale maltiness builds up to after taste. Round, but still varied and good tastes. Slightly dry, nice finish. A very nice floral ale.

2.6 Bottle from A.J.'s Beer Warehouse. A solid wheat beer with nice hibiscus aromas. I just don't care for hibiscus or most wheat beers.
