2.7 25cl bottle at Trappistenhuis, Ghent (2 X 2015). An amber ale with red gloom and a white, beige head. The aromas are sweet flavoured and hint at the malts. The taste has a mild bitterness, coming from the Poperinge and Hallertau hops. But the pilsner taste is overwhelming - with a keen iron, metallic undertone (not that tasteful) - making this brew mild sweet. This ale’s trump card? It’s well balanced sweet-bitterness.
2.9 BBE 03-06-2015. Ruskea, heikko hutera vaahto joka katoaa nopsaan. Punertavan ruskea, alkoholinen hedelmäinen tuoksu. Vetisen alkoholinen suutuntuma, jälkimakuna vetinen alkoholi. Vähän yksiulotteinen olut.
3.1 11/30/2006 Bottle at Beiaard. A sweet, fruity amber. Chocolate flavors. Very smooth. Almost no finish.
2.9 25cl bottle at a bar, poured a clear amber colour with a small tanned head. nose of sweet malts, chemical sweetness, candy sugar, raisins, herbal spice notes, metallic taste, nutmeg. not good
3.4 Kolor bardzo ?adny ciemny z?oty, klarowny. Piana ca?kiem spora w kolorze z?amanej bieli. Zbudowa z drobnych p?cherzyków z kilkoma wi?kszymi b?blami. W ?rednim tempie znika z tulipa. Aromat s?odowy, miodowy, z delikatnym karmelem, nut? wanilii i z odrobin? trawiasto?ci.
3.4 Actually precisely as the describtion reads. Amber colored beer with a nice sweet taste and a somewhat bitter aftertaste. Enjoyed it.
3.2 Bottle at Borup. Clear orange colored with a medium sized white head. Sweet and fruity aroma of caramel and bubble gum. Sweet and fruity flavor of caramel and dried fruits with notes of hops and bubble gum. Fruity finish.
3.5 25 cl. bottle. Clear amber colour with an off-white head. Aroma and flavour of malt, spice, yeast, caramel, fruit and hops.
1.2 Fles. Amberrood, kleine schuimkraag. Zoete aroma's: oliebol, rozijn, sojasaus, kandij. Walm van spiritus. Smaak is zeer zoet, zoete sojasaus. Spiritusachtige ontwikkeling. Bittere afdronk, koffiesnoepjes. Niet voor mij.
2.6 Watery feel to this amber ale. Overwhelming sweetness. Candy like. Liquorice taste Which goes down the throat quite quickly.
Smaakt zoetig, herfstfruit, vanille.
3.1 Bottle @Bier central. Pours cloudy amber with white head.Spicy, malty aroma. Taste is spicy, bit sweet.
3.4 A copper beer with a medium sized white head. Aroma is malty and fruity. Taste is sweet, fruity and malty, with a good bitterness in the end. Dry finish
3.2 Bottle 0.25l from De Hopduvel beer shop Ghent Belgium.Pour it amber color with medium white head.Taste of wooden barrels, dried fruits and cherry.
3.0 ’Classic’ blonde ale in that it has been in existence since 1986. Moussy foam, peach blonde colour; sweetish maltiness and fruitiness, bit yeasty, light mouthfeel with medium carbonation, bit honeyish, bit caramelly, mild hoppy finish. I’ve had this several times throughout the years and it is just okay but not much more.
Gebeurt me te weinig. Mindere variant van een Palm.
3.2 Bottle at Paters Vaetje, Antwerp. Poured a clear dark amber with a big frothy white head. The aroma is woody, light metallic hop. The flavour is moderate sweet, light bitter with a sweet fruity malt hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.
1.8 Bottle. Almost clear deep amber liquid with medium white head. Aroma of earth, autolysis, poo and meat. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with notes of toffee, raw sugar and alcohol. Light bodied with medium carbonation. Smells awful.
2.5 25 cl bottle Blond white foam. Nose is malty and yeast. Thin body. Too much carbonation!!! Malt, grains, yeast, dry. Nothing more
3.5 25cl butelka. NOS : przypalane nuty karmelu, tarty, trochę podobne do tiramisu. Ciemny miód, kwiaty i anyż. USTA : piwo jest średnio gazowane o wodnistej konsystencji. Puszyste w ustach. Piwo jest umiarkowanie słodkie o nutach podobnych do karmelu i herbatnika. Delikatnie kwaśne podobne do kwaśnego mleka i anyżu.
3.3 Poured medium amber with an off white head. Aroma of sweet caramel malt and sweet fruit. Medium body, flavour much as the aroma.
2.6 From draft @ In De Buurt, Zwolle. Amber coloured beer. Taste of sweet malts, some caramel, biscuits, some red fruits. Flat and thin palate. Very mediocre.
2.7 Clear chestnut colour medium brown mokka coloured head, sweet caramel metal yeasty sharp smell, medium carbonation and bitter, herby dificult to place wine like sour taste, fruity grapefruit like hints and metal notes
3.3 Tap. Clear reddish brown. Sweet malty, butter, caramel, stone fruits. Medium bodied, slightly thin feel. Ok
2.8 Clear amber appearance with medium head. Malty aroma. Not much on the palate, overall not too memorable.
2.5 A bit sour but also sweet amber like beer. Little head, vanished real quick. Flavours of caramel, koriander. Ok, not special.
