3.6 Bottle poured into a pint glass. The beer is a clear gold with a white head of foam. Sweet candy and toffee notes. Finish is pretty grassy and floral. Lighter body and medium carbonation.
3.2 Bottle. Pours clear golden with a White head. Aroma is light sweet peas, rough malts, light bready, grassy. Bitter, with loads of sweet peas, slight bready. Sweet and light bitter.
2.3 Stuttgart airport pint or 2
3.1 Ljusgul med fint vitt skum. Doftar maltigt, lite gräsigt. Smaken fyllig, lite söt och besk. Eftersmaken lång med markant beska, mkt liten sötma.
2.6 "CD Pils", Flasche aus dem Pilsbiere-Mixpaket vom Biershop BW. - Satt goldgelb, blank.
2.9 Clear straw colored beer with a thick foamy bright white head. Nose of grass, herbs, lemon, and a bit of refined sugar. Flavor is typical eurotrash pils with a light crackery malt base finished with wet cardboard hops and a touch of lemon. Nothing here you haven't tasted a thousand times already.
2.1 Sin aroma ninguno. Totalmente plana en boca. Bien fría resulta al menos refrescante. Prescindible.
3.2 .5l at the Carl’s Brauhaus on the main platz in Stuttgart. The pils poured a clear gold color with white foamy head and lacing. You are greeted with sweet malts on the nose. There is some hop bitterness. The pils has a medium body with average carbonation. The taste has some sweet bread and caramel malts. An easy beer to drink with German food. Clean finish no lingering bitterness.
2.0 Goed weg te drinken pils. veel smaak van graan en een stevig witte schuimkraag. -backlog de BierApp-
2.9 Pours a clear golden with white head. Light straw aroma. Light with a moderate sweetness and touch of earthiness. Notes: bottle in Kaiserslautern, Aug ‘18
2.9 Pours gold from the bottle. A frothy white head fades to a thin layer and lingers. Aroma is full of straw, a bit herbal, dusty. Straightforward dry mild bitterness from begin to end. Medium body, moderate carbonation. A run of the mill pilsener.
2.8 Bottle from Beer Baron. Aroma is earthy hop, grain, a touch sweet, wheat, grass, fine. Appearance is darker golden, off white to light tan head, not quite clear. Taste is grains, sweet, grass, earthy hop, corn, slightly dry, fine. Mouthfeel is light to medium body, light carbonation, bitter earthy hop grass and grains aftertaste. Overall, this one is serviceable, but a little sweet for the style.
3.9 330 ml bottle into lager glass, bottled on 3/3/2017. Pours slightly hazy pale golden yellow color with a 1 finger dense and rocky white head with awesome retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of cracker, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness/pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness. A bit of fruity aromas, but not overwhelming. Nice and pleasant aromas with pale malt and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of cracker, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness/pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate herbal, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of cracker, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness, pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness and balance of pale malt and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance. Slight lingering hop astringency, but not overwhelming. Nicely clean on lager flavors, with minimal fruity/yeasty notes. Moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, and bready/grainy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.9%. Overall this is a very nice German pilsener. All around nice robustness and balance of pale malt and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink with the moderately bitter/drying finish. Very flavorful for the ABV. Clean and nicely rich pils malt showcase, with nice noble hop presence/balance. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.
2.4 Keg pint. The New Inn Brampton Appleby Cumbria. Pours light golden with one finger frothy head, slight lacing. Very clear. Very slight skunkiness in aroma, which didn't affect taste. Medium carbonation. Refreshing, but a bit light for me. Some nice bitterness in the finish.
3.6 Draft. It poured gold with a thin white head. It has a clean malty aroma with floral and bread notes. Nice smooth finish.
3.7 Clear gold with a fast diminishing head. Fair amount of carbonation in the form of tiny bubbles. Light malt aroma. Smooth taste with a perfect balance of hop bitterness for this style. Clean refreshing finish. I first had this beer while stationed in Heilbronn Germany in 1987. The shopette on my little Kaserne sold it for $2 per six pack tax free.
3.7 From the 16 oz. can with a 01/31/2018 expiration date. Slightly hazy yellow pour with a long-lasting tremendous white foamy head. The aroma has a freshness with the grain, barley, toasted bread, sweet, and grassy sensations. The body is about medium. The taste brings out the same sweet bread character and a clean, crisp finish like a Pilsner should be. An easy drinking beer.
2.8 Can is a smell of minerals, sparking water, and hops. Tastes of mineral and saaz hops, balanced and with a bit of bitter palate. Drying and refreshing, but perhaps a bit heavy on the mineral / iron taste
2.7 bottle. Golden with one finger head. Fairly standard euro lager pils, lightly sweet corn and mild noble hops. Not as flavorful or crisp as better examples of the style.
4.4 Can. Brilliantly clear, dark yellow color, white head. Light floral notes in the aroma, bit of sweetness. Hops noticeable on the nose. Clean fermentation. Floral hop flavor, biscuit malt, crisp finish. Great German pils.
2.5 16.9 oz. can. Pours pale gold with a white head. Aroma and taste of pils malt, hay, faint herbal notes, hints of fruit. Moderate to heavy carbonation.
2.6 Draught in Stuttgart. Clean gold with a frothy head. Aroma of matesklic grain and citrus. Citrus hop, grain, light bitterness in the finish.
3.6 From old tasting notes. Medium gold with a dense creamy white head. Good complex malt/hop aroma. Light sweet maltiness with a distinct hop character.mdelicious dry finish. Long dry aftertaste. Well balanced and flavorful.m
2.7 Clear golden beer, lively bubbled to huge, if not longlasting very light-yellowish head. Bit dusty, dry malts’ nose, dried herbs, ever so slightly grassy. Faint bitterness, near hoppy in the finish, and dry-ish maltbacking, but all indifferent, laid-down, uninspired. Carbonation, spritzy at first, then fades away. Light body, bit slick. Ho-hum Pilsener. GE has much better to offer.
2.5 DATE: December 26, 2016... OCCASION: Watching The Avengers with the family after a great Christmas weekend... GLASSWARE: Jever pokal... pours a clear, solid golden body with reasonable, streaming effervescence... a soapy, filmy, yet substantial white head occupies its crest... the aroma is metallic Saaz ping, lightly floral, bready, and mild--what could be expected of a European pilsner... a clean, nondescript lagerish consistency, easily drinkable... besides the aforementioned Saaz, light pepper, lemon grass, biscuit, light earthiness, oats and some apple... beefy and malty at its finish--not the aftertaste that wants to be left behind... not the kind of beer that will have me seeking it out again--in fact, the reason I sought this out at all was the fact that I had it over a decade ago and hoped to rate it... now that I have, I leave for others the suggestion to find something brighter, punchier, spicier, cleaner, or another comparative that specifies better... about halfway there...
2.3 L: -pours a clear golden with a medium, foamy, white head -medium carbonation visible S: -metallic,spicy,honey ,lots of apple, grainy, vanilla T: -grainy,honey,metallic,lemon,astringent -low to medium bitterniss for the style F: -medium carbonation -light,watery body O: Can’t even reach the level of most Industrial Macro Pilseners. If you want a czech-inspired German-brewed Pils, go with Radeberger instead.
2.8 0.5l can from rewe in weil. pours a clear pale golden with a big steady white head and a nice lacing. aroma of grass and apples. flavour of hay, honey, flowers, apples. is this a cider or what?
2.7 bottle @ Getränkemarkt / Schwaebisch Gmuend Germany --- Aroma of malt and floral hops. Clear light golden amber, big white head that drops to a thick cover, lace netting. Taste is malt with insufficient carbonation that moves to floral hops in a fairly long finish. Not enough here to make a good Pils. I wouldn’t buy it again.
2.6 New Beer Distributors, NYC bottle: pours golden with crappy head. Aroma is light grass and sugar. Taste is light bitterness. Very easy to drink. Nothing at all special. Not bad though.
4.3 Straight from the tap I loved this pale brew with a frothy white head. I was everything I love about Pilsners-subtle flavors of malt and hops with a little hop lingering flavor to finish up. Bravo!
