4.2 (bottle 12 fl.oz. from online shop americanbeer.cz) Overall: Very nice balanced between malt, hops and spicy alcohol. Great. Aroma: Hops, pine, alcohol, spicy. Appearance: Clear golden color. Persistent white head. Taste: Medium sweet, malty, alcohol, spicy, medium bitter, citrusy, pine hops. Palate: Medium-full body. Bitter, warm finish.
3.9 Luxurious sounding pour into the snifter creating a 2 finger rich creamy off white head. Compact bubbles, foamy, generous. IPA hoppy aroma? into the nostrils. Cloudy brass yellow base. Looking closely to see the myriad of bubbles. And the fruit cake, mixes with citrus flowers smell on the nose, while the head retains. Into the mouth instant bitter. Certainly not a deal breaker. Lasting lacework. Super hoppy bite continues as does a botanical fragrance. Medium to heavy on the palate finish just as the high ABV kicks in, and the sudsy head remains. An IPA’s IPA.
4.3 Very sharp taste of orange peel, bitterness and fruity note. Decent iipa anyway.
3.7 It's the best one. Seriously. I've had it all so far. The aroma is very strong. The effect of the entrance is worse than it smells. It's not very sweet. In the aftertaste, sweetness appears, mixed with bitterness. Alcohol is not obvious, very easy to drink.
4.0 It's so heavy
4.4 Intense aromas of hops and citrus for an introduction to craft
3.7 Butelkowane: 01.10.20 r.; Wypite: 24.03.21 r. Wygląd: Barwa złota, klarowna. Piana biała, średniej wysokości, drobnopęcherzykowa, opada do pierścienia, pozostawia lekki lacing. Aromat: Średnio lotny, ale ułożony. Przed szereg wysuwa się średnia słodowość chlebowa, skórki chleba, toffi i nut jasnego karmelu uzupełniona cytrusami - cytryną, grejpfrutem, pomarańczą i limonką oraz żywicą, sosną. Całość wsparta lekkim mango, brzoskwinią i ananasem. Smak: Składowe podobnie jak w aromacie z jeszcze wyraźniej zaznaczoną, przyjemną słodowością. W ustach półsłodkie, treściwość średnia, zauważalnie gładka, wysycenie średnioniskie. Goryczka średnia, żywiczna, średniej długości, subtelnie zalegająca. Finisz wytrawny, goryczkowy z lekką słodowością, nutą pomarańczy i mango. Ogólnie: Zdecydowanie po słodowej, ale całkiem przyjemnej stronie. Cytrusowo-żywiczny chmiel z nutami owoców egzotycznych uzupełnia słodowość.
4.0 355ml bottle. Opalescent, dark orangey, golden to amber colour wiht average, thick, creamy, moderately to mostly lasting, moderately lacing, white head. Piney, resinous, and citrusy fruity, hoppy, aroma, notes of pineapple with a minimal touch of white jelly bears, some lemon and grapefruit, pale and caramel malty background, a touch of almond. Taste is sweet-ish, pale and caramel malty, fruity and citrusy, minimally piney and grassy hoppy, hoppy notes take some time to slowly build up to full shape via melon and the addition of lemon, orange, mandarine, grapefruit, pineapple, a touch of strawberry, lychee, to finally cultivate a plethora of fruitiness; quite some hop bitterness appears in the finish as the fruity flavous slowly fade out; a minimally warming, alcoholic touch in the finish can't be denied. Oily texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, fine, mildly prickly carbonation. Flattering sweetness, displays a wide spectrum of fruity (and resinous) hop flavours. Ultimately addictive, my glass is empty before I was able to capture the full complexity of this beer - tremendous.
4.0 Bottle after smelling the is rich hop flavour with citrus and a little bit of alcohol taste, pour is golden and transparent liquor body, rich foam, head of wine is very good-looking, after the entrance and the smell is the same hop flavor, full-bodied, is medium bodied, quite thick, not thin, very smooth, hop flavor is a little bitter and alcohol after feeling, if drink is not ice, bitter and alcohol feeling will be more prominent than ice before. Generally speaking, this wine has a very prominent hop flavor. Those who like the hop fragrance can try it. The price is not expensive, and it is also suitable for daily drinking. Individuals like to drink after ice, alcohol and bitterness will be diluted some, novice words are not recommended to drink this directly, after all, bitterness and alcohol for beginners is not friendly
3.8 12 oz bottle. Smells of caramel and light pine. Crystal clear and copper colored. Tastes of caramel and hops. Light citrus, pine, and malts. Quite smooth for such high abv. Finish has a mild bitter kick, surprising given the 90 ibus. Quite enjoyable.
3.9 Bottle. Malty and hoppy aroma and taste, caramel, resin, citrus fruit, light sweet notes, medium bitter. Medium to full body, malty and hoppy bitter finish with light alcohol warming notes. Good.
3.7 High alcohol content hoppy but not unbearable. Pretty good
3.7 Can share at the annual hop harvest at Vál. Pours copper with off-white head. Nose is caramel and biscuity malts, booze and resinous hops. Taste is a nice combination of the sweet notes of caramel, biscuits nd booze and the bitter hoppy notes of citruses and pine. Starts off sweet but then turns bitter pretty quickly, closing with this latter. Full bodied with soft to average carbonation, classic sipper. Tasty DIPA that's pretty old-school by now.
3.6 Rerate 9-10-15 bottles Highland
4.1 Absolute love it
3.5 Nose is sweet candied malt joy. There’s a hint if hop punch. Amber color with a thin, almost nonexistent head. Explosion on hops and pine on he first couple of sips. I haven’t had this in years; I had it on tap at the brewery perhaps in 2005. The harsh pine needle finish began to mellow as it settled. Boozy presence, yet balanced well. It’s like an amped up Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. Cheers!
4.1 Aroma is passion fruit, tropical, guava, citrus and hops. Clear, orange and amber in color. Taste is citrus, sweet, hoppy, berry, bubblegum, and floral. Like a double IPA and dubbel made together.
4.5 Draft drawn into a 32oz jug then pretty aggressively poured into a snifter. The result was a clear, burnt amber body topped by a lush, 1-inch, off-white head supported by loads of tiny, upward streaming bubbles. Despite the big ABV, the head hung around and left fleeting curtains of lace. In my view, 90 Minute always has been and still is the chameleon of IPAs, wonderfully evolving as it warms. Early aromas of citrusy grapefruit and pungent pine eventually yield to notes of sweet caramel and roasted malts. The taste seems reversed - caramel, raisins and figs early - and a mild, but persistent, lingering resinous pine at the finish. The only hint of alcohol is a pleasantly spreading warmth. The mouthfeel is silky smooth and creamy. This is an expertly crafted, wonderfully balanced example of the brewer’s art at its best.
2.9 穏やかなポップのアロマ、ガツンとした苦味、フレッシュなフレーバー、優しい余韻が残る
4.0 A Classic new American imperial IPA that has stood the test of more recent time to become a favorite.
4.3 Deep amber with a frothy, white head. The aroma is dank pine with pear juice, butterscotch and light citrus notes underneath. Taste is bittersweet up front with the malty sweetness very nicely balancing the hops. Bitter the rest of the way. Finishes with a modest warmth. Full bodied. Nice!
4.0 12oz bottle at Pizza Port, Carlsbad, CA on 29/04/2008. An absolutely smashing IIPA. Loads of bitter piney notes along with resinous hops and stone fruits.
3.8 Hoppy but fruity and kinda smoky tasting
3.5 22 ounce draft at Beef O Brady’s in Stow, Ohio. Smell thee pine. Nice golden in color. Creamy white head with film on glass. Taste both pine and citrus. Smooth and alcohol well hidden. Citrus hop aftertaste. Really good for the style. Cheers!
4.0 12 oz. bottle. AROMA: Strong scents of malt and grapefruit with some grassy undertones. APPEARANCE: Pours a clear amber with a small, white head, that dissipates quickly. TASTE: When it first hits the palate I get a nice sweetness with just a touch of sour. Then, after a second or two, the bitterness comes (but not too much). It is just the right amount of bitterness to offset the sweetness. I get flavors of grapefruit and juniper. MOUTHFEEL: It doesn't look it, but it is surprisingly full-bodied, and has a creamy texture with average carbonation. Finish is long and just a bit on the bitter side. OVERALL: I have to say, I am definitely NOT an IPA person. Over the years, I've tried 30 or 40 of them. And, up until now, I've only liked 3. Well, now I can say that I like 4 of them, with this one being the best of the bunch! I have never had an Imperial IPA, so I think I will try more Imperial IPAs to see if that style is more to my liking than regular IPAs. At any rate, if (like me) you don't care for IPAs, then I suggest that you give this one a try. I know I will be buying more of this in the future!
4.5 In aroma rich punch of malts, some raisins, biscuit, little bit like good class barley wine. In taste sweet, some biscuit, gently sour in a dry fruits way, and at the finish nice bitterness comes out. Great beer.
4.9 Protagonism of a rich maltose profile, with biscuit memories, in which alcohol and a balanced hops are perfectly integrated
4.6 Intensive, well-dry aroma, quite dry, fresh herbs, quite a few pine trees, young shoots, needles and resin, banana, some caramel and toffee, but in rather dry forms, pleasant.
4.4 zapach intensywny, ale bardzo dobrze ułożony, dość wytrawny, świeże zioła, sporo sosny, młode pędy, igły i żywica, banan, trochę karmelu i toffi, ale w raczej wytrawnych formach, przyjemny, dobrze ułożony czysty alkohol, fajnie zgrany z resztą aromatów. kolor miedziany, klarowny, piana żółtobeżowa, obfita i trwała. w smaku pełne, ale nie słodkie, wytrawny karmel, niesłodki, ciężki sękacz, dużo ziół, suszonych i świeżych, trochę piołunu, mnóstwo żywicy, drewno sosnowe, mokra piwnica, wyraźny, rozgrzewający, przyjemny alkohol, może nuty młodych orzechów włoskich. goryczka wysoka, orzechowa, sosnowa i alkoholowa. długa, ale nie przesadnie ściągająca. w ustach gęste, wyraźnie rozgrzewające. nasycenie umiarkowane.
4.3 Pours gold with a faint mist, small white head. Piney resinous sweet nose. Exceptionally balanced sweetness on the palate, with gentle pine shades.
