2.7Almost feels like it wants to go to a sour but not really close. Can taste some hops and a nice grape finish.
3.212 oz bottle grape flavor with no hint of hops at all. It is a beer that is for the drinker who likes a fruity beer with no hop flavor.
3.2Bottle pours clear crimson with a small whitish head. Aroma is musty, vinous, earthy. Flavor is mildly sweet grape, slight hop bitterness. A little watery for what I'd like. Medium bodied and crisp. Above average.
3.312floz bottle, BOD: 09.29.2017, $1.75 unit cost, tulip glass. Appears a very dark amber color with pinkish tinged head. Caramel aroma deceives my taste buds as it tastes like a bitter plum. Body - medium. Carbonation - low. Bitterness - medium. Sweetness - low. Sourness - low. Saltiness - low. Drinkability - medium. Overall - medium.
3.4Interesting brew with grape must in the mix. Light hoppy nose. Pours out red but tastes like IPA without really any fruit flavor. Head is short-lived. Crisp mouthfeel. Balanced hops and malt that is not too heavy despite the 6.5% ABV. Enjoyed this from a bottle.

3.412 oz. bottled 09/28/2017. Crimson-copper brew with nice legs and a lasting creamy film of foam. Aroma of grape, autumn leaves, blackberry, caramel and maybe a touch of orange zest. Tastes of earthy leaf, non-sweet grape wine, wood, blackberry and a touch of caramel. Medium body has medium-plus mostly smooth carbonation and a dry winy slant.

3.4330ml bottle. Strong grape notes dominate over any hops, but it’s a nice grape. Blackcurrant, sweet syrup, a little tart cranberry. Not a bad drop.
5.0Probablemente, una de las mejores IPAs que probé.
Alucinante, en botella y con 6 meses
3.7Bottle. An interesting combination of IPA and wine. The hop presence is really subdued, and it’s the Syrah grapes that dominate the taste. It’s moderately sweet and fruity, with an interesting wine character. Bonus points for the experimentation that went into making this.
3.7Pours a ruby red with a thin white head. Aroma is of a really nice grape juice and hops. Beer is quite juicy, perhaps a little sweet and with no real bitterness to speak of. Enjoyable but not outstanding.
3.4Hoppy in the nose with clear elements of tart berry. Pours a clear reddish with white, thick foam. Medium to light body with moderate fizz. Hoppy taste, bitter / piney. The fruit comes out with some sour / bitterness that gives the beer some depth. A touch of saline and a tannic finish.
Wurst Party Ever 7 November 2015.
3.5Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass at the World of Beer in Pooler, GA. The appearance is a clear mild copper color with a medium sized white head. The aroma is fruit and hops. The taste matches the aroma. An average beer.
1.9This was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a burnt red color with a moderate transparency about it. One finger white foamy head quickly dissipates. Messy foamy head all around.
The smell was pretty awful - malted cherries, burnt sugars, sticky burnt bread, grape must. It didn’t combine at all.
The taste was just cherry to grape sweet. The aftertaste was way too sticky with the malts.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium. Definitely cloying in the feel. And then a semi-dry finish.
Overall, yeah, not sure what happened here, but this is probably one of the worst Dogfish Head beers I’ve ever had. No chance in hell, I’ll come back to this.
3.5Pours light purple - aroma is wine, hops and baked bread. Basically wine with hops. Not what I expected by it works
3.5Pours a golden reddish with fizzy head. Aromas of fruit, grass, and yeast. Flavors of grass, wine notes, damn tasty...probably one of my top ten Dogfish brews.
2.7Not much aroma on this one. Pours an odd color something between a light orange and a magenta. The hops character is masked or lacking giving the brew a watery taste. Overall not that enjoyable.
2.9An odd duck of an IPA. Pours purple kool aid with a limp scattering of bubbles on the surface. There’s probably a pretty descent ipa buried underneath this but the grape must just smothers it. The reviewer below -- with the badass mutton chops -- nails it when it says that it tastes like a refrigerator. More of a beer fest sampler than a take home bottle.
4.3This beer was the one that got me into craft beers. One of my favorite beers from dogfish. It is a carbonated beer with a grape flavor really easy to drink and great for when you are trying to have a relaxing evening at home
3.9Smells ok grape koolaid and like. Lovely rose like color. Taste of sour grape for a bit the finishes off with a butterscott flavor quite unique flavor profile. Medium body with nice sweet crisp carbonation. Way to think outside the box.
0.9Not good. This is a sour ale, which I am not fond of. I love Dogfish Head, and appreciate their experimentation, but I won't ever buy this again!
3.4Pours a distinct purple color with a purple-hued head. A nice hoppy IPA with notes of grape. Not bad.
3.1Not bad on everything except for the flavor which kind of reminds me of refrigerator taste.
2.8Light brown, clear, highly carbonated with frothy PINK head. Taste is musty dry, winey with floral hops at the finish. OK. Did I mention it has a PINK head.
2.9Drank this one at a winery in Vero Beach FL. They had lots of wine and a few beers. No pint glasses though so... straight from the bottle rating. Aromas of floral hops and something musty. Tastes of bitter floral hops, some weak citrus, and bitter grape juice. Bitter, almost sour, finish. Easy to drink but not a favorite. Think of an IPA with hints of dark wine.
3.2At the brewery: pours reddish with a pinkish frothy head. Aroma is citrus, malt, and hints of grape. Taste is not very bitter, somewhat sweet, kind of confused but not off balanced. I guess that is the DFH way.
2.6light fruit malty aroma, red, clear, white foam, light sweetness, lightly bitter, light hoppy bitter finish.
3.4Bottle, 355ml. A clear beer with a small white head that fades away quickly. Color is kind of orange and slightly pink. Aroma reminds me of grape juice and red apples. It’s not very intense. Taste is bittersweet with moderate carbonation and astringency. Aftertaste has a hint of grapes, but is not as sweet as I expected. Medium bodied with slightly stinging bitter end.
3.2Bottle, 355ml. Clear peach with a minimal offwhite head. Musky aromas of grapes, spices, honey. Medium bodied with fizzy carbonation. Sweet with low to moderate bitterness. Dry and oily, with a stinging rooty bitterness. Fresh and experimental. Nice to try.
3.3Clear rosy/amber pour with a fleeting pink head.
Light fruity aroma. slightly vinous.
The flavor is IPA highlighted by the hop bitterness on the front, with a wine-like finish with acids and tannin.
Light effervescent.
