3.5Creamy expresso topping that lasts. Mild coffee and cream aroma. Fairly smooth, with aftertaste of bitterness. Good drinkability. Thanks Jason!
3.8Black with tan head, medium body, coffee aroma. Roasted malt coffee flavor with bitter chocolate finish.
3.5Bottle. Pours black with a small fizzy dark brown head. Aroma is roasty, coffee up front, subtle green coffee notes, malty, chocolaty, subtle bitterness. Taste is bitter roasty coffee, malty, caramel, chocolate, dry finish.
3.7Draught@Taphouse, Copenhagen (backlog). Black colour, small beigeish brown head. Aroma is ripe fruits, some coffee, mild roasted malts, chocolate as well as some slight alcohol notes. Flavour is ripe fruits, chocolate, some coffee, mild roasted notes as well as some slight berries and mild alcohol.
3.4Nice espresso cocoa aroma that hits the tongue with a sight bitterness that is quickly masked by the espresso and chocolate notes along with some malty sweetness. I also like that the bitterness stays on the palate but is mixed with the complexity of the espresso. It's like it's enjoyably noticeable but tamed by the crowd. Has a slight dryness on the feel. This is pretty good though.
3.7Pours from bottle deep rich brown, slight hint of ruby, with medium mocha head that leaves a bit of skim.
Rise-and-shine aroma of coffee, roast malt, nuts. Palate is coffee, a bit harsh initially, but soon moderated by dark chocolate, a fizzy cola note and a bit of creaminess.
Seems like a pick-me-up, though the 9 percent ABV would soon put an end to that. But very tasty for a glass or two.

3.9Aroma - rich coffee, chocolate, and some alcohol.
Appearance - body is black body. 1" fallow brown head. Head hangs on tight. Lacing drapes with the alcohol cloying.
Taste - roast, chocolate, and barley.
Palate - body is full, texture creamy, the carbonation is average, and roast astringent finish.
3.8Rich, roasted espresso with lots of cream. Burnt grains. Medium body. Nice coffee aftertaste.
3.3Pour out of 12 oz bottle, thanks Drake! Dark brownish black pour with tan head, aroma brought notes of roast, dirty old coffee grounds, hints of dark cocoa, some slight earthy notes, touch of toast. Taste was a mix of roast, cocoa, slight espresso and coffee bean, slightly acrid coffee grounds, hints of spice, finishing slightly bitter.
3.5Deep flavors of coffee and cocoa, light roast in the malt. Just a little toast and char, more punchy than creamy.
3.612 ounce bottle. Opaque black color. Moderate frothy tan head. Rich roasted malt flavor has notes of espresso and dark cocoa. Bittersweet roasted malt flavor. Oily texture and mouthfeel. Some warming alcohol in finish.
3.7Bottle. Black body with a medium offwhite head. Espresso, coffee, roasted malt. Nice coffee flavour. Good.
3.8A good solid coffee stout. Plenty of body but the higher alcohol is not apparent. It's nice and malty and there are good coffe/chocolate balances
3.7355ml bottle, trade with Skinnyviking and shared with Finn. Espresso head slowly diminishing. Black body with a ruby glint. Powerful aroma of coffee and dark chocolate. The flavour profile follows suit with coffee grounds, almond, and black chocolate. Prolonged ending, nicely roasted. Smooth on the swallow. Warming and tasty (session at Finns, Tromsø 16.12.2015).
3.7Flaske 355ml spandert av Rune. Delt på Nerstranda 16 Des 15. Ultramørk amber. 0 skum etter 10 sek. Aroma av brent karamell & sjokolade. Smaken flott integrert. Lakris. Sjokolade. Kaffe. Alkoholen bortintegrert.
4.0DATE TASTED: November 29, 2015 ... GLASSWARE: Samuel Smith tulip pint... OCCASION: Christmas lights--up and operational... APPEARANCE: pitch black body supports a creamy, thick brown head that smears cirrus clouds above its half-finger base... attractive crags form while the head settles... AROMA: deep, alluring peat and coffee bean... what else? some briny notes with roasted malts... slight alcohol wafts in... PALATE: warm, soft, and smooth--much gentler than the 9% ABV would suggest; late action warms and leaves a comfortably lingering aftertaste that cooks... TASTE: as advertised, a powerful shot of coffee bean and roasted malts... the flavor is not overwhelming, but it is demonstrative... reasonable sweetness... OVERALL: as espresso stouts go, solid and rewarding...the ABV instantly numbs and the caffeine stimulates...one of Dominion’s better, right up there with the Oak Barrel stout...
3.5Draught @ DØE/hugos. Appearance: pours clear black with powerful creamy beige head and lacing. aroma/taste: coffee, caramel and chocolate. palette madium malty coffee aroma, average carbonation, medium body, average sweetness, somewhat balanced by a light to average bitterness, medium duration and a watery texture. Overall: well balanced coffee stout
3.6Aroma of chocolate & coffee. Small off white head that disappears. Dominate chocolate flavor with a hint of coffee. Coffee taste seems to take over later in the beer.
3.7Tap @ JB.
Pour pretty black, with a frothy one-finger sized head beige head.
Aroma is pretty darn coffee forward. Plenty of roasted coffee beans, dark bitter chocolate, roasted malts, faint hoppy notes.
Taste is pretty bitter, with faint sweet notes. Medium but slightly watery body, with a mellow carbonation. I quite like this, but it isn’t playong more keys than the coffee stuff
3.7Draft at John Bull Aalborg. Pitch black with a small brown head. Big coffee aroma, burnt caramel, liqurice. Medium full body, roasted flavour balanced bitterness. Very nice. Hides the ABV very well.
3.7pitch dark, small brown to light brown head. aroma of sweet roasted malts, coffe, dark chocolate and perhaps a little bitter caramel. faint coffee and some frutiy notes. flavor is lots of coffee, dark chocoloate, coffee bitterness, mocca, whole coffee beans, chocolate cake, some roasted malts. liquid dessert, hops and malts almost just spice to the really heavy coffee and chocolate. Not very refined, but very brutal instead. You can clearly taste the coffee beans.
3.6Smells sweet of espresso and chocolate. Pours straight black with a beige head. Tastes alot of espresso with hints of chocolate.
3.312 oz bottle. Dark brown with tan foam. Nose is chocolate, coffee and grain. Medium body with a tingle and a creamy finish. Taste is coffee bean, caramel and citrus peel. OK for breakfast.
2.9Tap @Taphouse, Copenhagen

4.3I think this in a very good overall beer you can really tast the coffee and a great for after dinner
3.7Bottle - Pours dark with fairly big, creamy head. Chocolate and coffee aromas. Rich chocolate and coffee notes. Some bitter coffee towards the end with some alcohol warming. I like it.
3.7Bottle 35,5 cl. Pours black with a neat reddish hue and a light brown head. Very thick and dominating coffee aroma. Rich, malty sweet body, lots of roast and licorice, vanilla notes. Coffee throughout. Warming alcohol finish. Nice enough. 300615
3.712 oz bottle in D.C.
A very good, mainstream coffee stout. Good balance in both bitter/sweet and in roasted grains/coffee flavors. Looked like it might be over-carbonated at the pour but the feel was quite good.
O: recommended.
3.8Pours black with a short thick tan head. Very mild vanilla and chocolate aroma. Soft cocoa ( not milk chocolate) taste with a chalky middle. Soft foamy mouth feel. Not as heavy as some stouts.
