Dreher Bak

Dreher Bak

3.0 Aroma 6. Appearance 4. Taste 6. Palate 2. Overall 12. Roasted malt, plum, and sweet aroma. Caramel and coffee taste. Some bitterness aftertaste but definitely too sweet.
3.1 Bottle somewhere just outside the centre of Budapest. As one of the most popular darker brews in Hungary, this beer really deserves the attention of anyone who happens to be in those latitudes. The beer pours a dark brown colour with a tan head. A coffee and prune nose, with very defined aromas that are reminiscent of some of the stronger Belgian ales. One can smell the alcohol too, which blends into the sweet yet toasted aromas giving the impression of a fortified wine. In mouth, the flavours are a continuation of the aromas, but with a huge contribution from the caramel and toffee notes - this beer is most definitely on the sweeter side. While there is some breadiness, the fruity qualities are predominant. Oily and medium to full body. It is not the best beer, but it hits the spot and is worth trying. It goes well with food.
3.5 Clean classic style from a big brewery. Tastes good, but it clearly mass produced. Spinoza cafe budapest
2.6 Dreher bak: my good old friend. "An elegant beer to finish a night." :) It's a special beer for me. Not because it's so good or something, we hate it, but it's part of the friendly jokes. You must drink. "Suffer with us" Back to it: I would not concider this to be a bad beer. Has a strong caramel and malty aroma. I can feel the alcohol in my blood already. Dark brown color, foam diminishes in a minute. In the taste there is way too much alcohol, but in the start it's like you are drinking roasted malt, caramel and coffee mixture beer. But in the end it's hard to finish it off. Not a bad beer by the way. I kinda' like it, even though I said I hate. It's fun to drink.
3.4 Can. Dark brown with garnet, yellow foam. Aroma: very dense caramel, sweetness, light smoked, slightly dried fruit, prunes, burnt sugar. Taste: strong, caramel, prunes, wine, burnt sugar, soft, good.

2.9 Aroma; mild notes of roasted malt and dark tart. Look; vanishing tan head on close to black body. Taste; roasted dark malt, dark plum, liquorice, coffee, black chocolate, and finishes semi dry. Feel; ok body n co². Overall; not bad. [Doboz sörös találták Tescoban Kisvardaban]
3.0 Bottle at tasting with MisoW and Cuso. Malty aroma, caramel notes, light sweet and bitter. Light to medium body, malty caramel bitter sweet finish. Ok.
3.8 Raisins and plums and caramel on the nose, brown sugar sweetness and caraway spice throughout giving way to a gentle but semi-cleansing bitterness that invites further sips. Complex and alluring, this is a great example of a Bock worthy of its place on tap alongside the Diacetyl layers and occasional local IPA in and around the Budapest bar district. Lacks a little balance and could become cloying on the palate after several pints but ultimately a great option when seeking to refresh and reset after a long hard afternoon on the Staropramen
Ízre is kellemesen csokis karamell, némi keserédes utóízzel.
3.0 Mar-mar fekete szinu karamellas cucc. Izre eleg semmien, egyetlen pozitivuma az alkoholfoka. Magyar fronton a kategoriajaban rendben van.
3.2 Bottle. Very dark brown w a tan head that's soon gone. Malty but not all that sweet w dark bread, some licorice, light roast. Moderately spicy with low but present bitterness. No dodgy strong lager notes - though it packs a punch. Solid drop.

3.7 Dark brown color with a small head. The flavor is malty, roasted, with a pleasant balance between bitterness and sweetness.
3.2 Dark brown color, beige head, aroma of dried fruits, caramel and cola, medium sweetness, lightly bitter.
4.2 nice one, not the best, but not bad!
3.3 500 ml bottle somehow smuggled from the local home land. Pours clear dark mahogany (nearly black) with a two finger, tan head. Aroma is light dried fruit, light caramel and a hint of nutmeg. Taste is raisin and caramel, moving to light nuts and light roast. Finish is roast. A drinkable bock, though not setting the world on fire.
3.6 Bottle@Budapest. Black beer with a strong light brown coloured head. The aroma is malty and gently roasted. The flavour is quite rich with good roastedness and bitterness. Overall a nice malty dark beer.
2.8 Almost black beer with medium head. More porter-like aroma. Chocolate, plum. Rather sweet. Medium body.
2.7 Can from supermarket. Bitter taste with citrus, a bit of bread, malts, dark fruits and grass. Bitter finish with citrus, malts, dark fruits, grass and nuts. Drinkable stuff.
3.2 Bottle on the 375 tour from Budpaest, 09/06/18. Rich mahogany brown with a decent beige head. Nose is dried fruits, brown bread, toffee, light spice. Taste comprises stewed fruits, dates, figs, brown bread, raisins, sugars. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok stuff for the price point.
3.0 Apperance: 0,5L Can. Dark ruby colour, beige lasting foam. Aroma: cofee, roasty, caramel. Flavor: Medium body, little bit low carbonation, mild bitternes alcohol feel for a long time.
2.8 500ml bottle. Pours dark brown, medium sized beige head stays. Aroma is is metallic, nutty, coffee, bit roasty. Taste is roasty, some toffee, metallic. Bitterish in aftertaste. Medium body, average carbonation. For macro, nice attempt, but overally still weak.
3.2 courtesy of Philipp and Thomas - pours an almost black beer with no head retention; aroma of coffee, cola, toasted malts and candy sugar; medium-bodied, sweet and chewy palate; some late bitterness, alcohol presence in a long chocolaty, dried fruity finish with notes of soy sauce - more a Schwarzbier than a Bock
