Dubuisson Bush Prestige

Dubuisson Bush Prestige

The Bush Prestige is a Bush Ambrée that, rather than maturing in stainless steel tanks, has spent 6 months finishing in oak barrels. During the bottling process, small amounts of sugar and yeast are added to the beer so it re-ferments in the bottle during its stay in the brewery’s warm room. This develops the natural yeast cloud and gives the beer its exceptionally high alcohol volume of 13%. Reviving the traditional use of oak barrels has introduced aromas and tannins that haven’t been experienced in beer for many years. Even the most demanding beer lover will be bowled over by these qualities. Think of the aromas of whisky and other spirits matured on oak coupled with an extraordinarily rounded character. The Bush Prestige is an exceptional beer thanks to its rounded taste, its rich aromas, the exclusive bottle and the limited distribution.

4.9 I wanted to treat myself for my 900th, and I didn’t miss, sometimes the SAQ can surprise you with their imported beer, and this time they did their job, it is a privilege to have the opportunity to drink such a high quality beer, nice aroma, smooth taste, well-balanced, the whole packaged. Thanks to my bro to have picked this for me.
3.4 Stone fruit and some barrel. Cloudy gold with a decent white head. Woody and deep golden malts.
3.5 Bottle from 2008 sampled 2019. Short white head. Opaque amber color. Nice aroma from caramell and nobel hops. Sweet malty taste. Complex and very enyoable.
4.5 Bottle thanks kapusil! Pours hazy copper. Boozy, pears, apples, sugary aroma. Prunes, sweet ale, grapeseed flavors, cognac. Really decadent, delicious dessert sipper.
4.5 0.75l bottle. Hazy dark orange body with a huge but quickly disappearing white head. Aroma and taste of wood, toast, orange zest, cognac, nutmeg, mold and cloves. The alcohol can be felt for sure but not harsh. Amazing.
4.1 Rami Rami is drinking a Bush Prestige by Brasserie Dubuisson at garwolińska Duzo owocowosci, malo przyprawowosci, gladkie, suszone, swieze, kandyzowane w tej kolejnosci. Slodziak. Doiiobre
4.0 750mL cork & cage bottle from Carwyn Cellars (i think!?) 13%abv 2016 vintage Convincing pop on opening - cracking the bubbles a day early it would seem! Lively pour, forms a big white foam that dissipates into a dense cap atop a effervescent deep golden body with good clarity. As instructed, I let her warm a bit after opening....to avoid getting covered in beer... Slowly reveals notes of golden syrup/pale caramels, stewed pears & apricots & apples, toasty sort of honeycomb-like oak, touch of vanilla too, brandy & sherry notes, sultanas, lots of woody/clove-like spices, moreso as it continues to warm. Ooo texture is lovely - velvety smooth, the carbonation is high but very fine soft bead coating the tongue marvellously, it's got a bit of boozy warmth there without giving away too much, length is tremendous with enough sweetness to hold on & supple oaken tannin lingering. Those stewed orchard fruits emerge once again on the palate, supported by oaken toast, sultanas, nutmeg & clove phenolics, hints of vanilla & cashew - it's delicate in some regard yet complex & big. A pale toffee sweetness unpins everything lingering with warming Brandy-like booze & drying oak. Magnificent stuff - a truly BIG beer, but has an elegance & sophistication that you don't tend to see in say a Barleywine or Imperial Stout of this weight.
4.2 (levure, µ-phénol, ~peau manda, > onctuo-ronde, souple-vif, harmony, banane, sucre métallisant, long-hop, bois-bof)
4.0 750ml bottle served in a tulip glass. Pours a cloudy orange to amber color forming a medium bubbled light yellow head with medium to low retention that forms and leaves only very few spotty molasses lacings in the glass. Strong notes of red fruits, oak, caramel malts and Candi sugar in the nose. Hints of honey. Very booze. Very sweet and fruit upfront taste. Strong notes of dry fruits: raisin and plums. Strong notes of oak too. Candi sugar and caramel malts. Bready style Belgian yeasts. Good bittersweet balance. More sweet than bitter. Full heavy body. Medium to low carbonation. Oak and caramel in the aftertaste. Good drinkability. Masterpiece.
4.2 750ml corked bottle opened with loud ‘pop’ bought at Belgian Beer International in Tsuen Wan circa 2014. Looks:Cloudy hazy straw copper brown colour with a crust of dirt-like yeast-sediments; One quarter finger head with residual soapy white foam which fades in 15 seconds; Poor sticky lacing with sparse slight carbonation. Aroma: Very fragrant and sweet Amber malt, with strong plums and dark fruits, vanilla, oaks, strong dessert wine-like alcohol, red wine, strong caramel, toffee, floral, heavy sugar, strong spices, dry biscuits, strong Bel yeast and lemon. Subtle and complex! Taste: Mid to strong sweet malt, with strong alcohol, liquorices, vanilla, oaks, strong plums, dark fruits, caramel, floral, sugar, strong spices, biscuits, strong lemon and mid to strong bitter grassy hops. Body: Full body. Thin, alcoholic and quite slick palate. Mouth Feel: Full Amber maltyness in a refined thin backbround. Carbo-ish, very boozy but in a pleasant way, then comes the barrel's vanilla and oak smoothness, strong dark fruits and caramel. The carbo make a strong lift to be more vibrant and refreshing. Flowery with strong sweetness, spicy biscuity with strong lemon to round. Excellent! Booze: The 13% abv is upfront but not as hard-hitting as I feared. It penetrates in a pleasant way and knocks slowly. The accompanying liquorices is equally mild as well. Combining with medium sugar sweetness and hidden carbonation, make it a lot more easier to enjoy. Yeah! Hoppiness: Floral, strong spices, and lemon in nose, same in taste with grass; Bitterness is fairly strong for an abrupt, mid to high astringent sweet-bitter Amber malty finish. After Taste: Quite dry. Boozy dark fruit spicy and fairly bitter to mouth.\ Comments: I think this one is enhanced with several years of aging, as the malty body got leaner with strong but pleasing booze, the barrel characters of vanilla and oaks shine though with strong spices and dark fruits and with added red wine / dessert wine aroma as bonus. Refreshing and uplifting, how often have you say that to BA Strong Ambrees? Fantastic! P.S.: Good choice for my #2600 rating!
4.8 Pours a cloudy amber bronze from the corked long neck. Not too much white head. Aroma of toffee and caramel. Lovely soft mouth feel. Toffee, caramel, vanilla and hints of ester all present themselves upfront on the palate. Macadamia praline on the mid palate and that valuable 6 months in oak finally pays rewards at the long long long finish. The alcohol is always there but it is a special beer that can contain 13% and it not dominate.
Stor sötma i doften, russin, vinös, portvin. (2010-09-18)
3.9 Slightly lighter amber than the Nuits. Bread, pit fruit and spice, with more than a hint of barrel and alcohol. Also quite good, just a step behind the other.
3.8 Aroma of barrel oak.taste or sweet and dried fruits, malt.quite complex belgian strong ale.
4.0 This one has a bit of age on it... Pours orange amber into a tulip. white head with little retention recedes to hug rim. Hot, overripe fruit aromas. Medium bodied with hot apricot, plum and dusty yeast upfront turning to hot toffee in the lasting finish. Nicely hot.
4.5 75cl bottle, shared at Olut Sabadell in Tuesday’s taste sessions. Golden honey colour with a nice white head. Malty aroma, with toffe and caramel. Plenty of wood. Sweety in taste with alcohol just warming, white whine notes and that hint of "coke" of old belgian beers.
13 graus molt ben portats. Es nota la fusta pels 4 costats!
4.3 750ml bottle 2010 vintage. Pours out a burnt orange topped with a sand head. Nose has tons going on barrel oak lots of fruit citrus pit caramel sweetness. Taste is more of the layers of complexity barrel oak fruit and sweetness.
