3.4 On tap at a restaurant in Lübeck. Golden brown, moderate but lasting head. Spicy malty nose, nice smooth mouthfeel, flavor has a hint of wood and caramel but not so exciting. Smooth/low bitterness.
2.7 Honey and maple syrup aroma. Clear golden body. Head is poor like Poland or Ukraine. So is the carbonation. Hoppy but mostly watery.
2.9 Brungul med tjockt beige skum. Doftar lite maltigt (?). Smaken fyllig, lite söt. Eftersmaken hyggligt lång, något söt, lite kryddig (? C19).
3.1 500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours a clear dark amber, small off-white head, little retention. Aroma is pleasant but faint, some caramel malt and nuts on the nose. Taste is good though. Caramel and bready malts, nuts, a light fruity tang, moderate bitter kick. Light to medium bodied, fairly slick, moderate carbonation.
4.0 Niezwykle pijalne i zbalansowane. Przyjemny słód, lekka gorycz, spora pełnia. Trochę ziołowego finiszu od chmielu i gładki słód. Idealnie zrównoważone, bardzo smaczne piwo,
3.6 Old rating from 03-01-16 - 500ml bottle, tried in Berlin & a bottle brought home for my collection. Pours a brown colour with a beige head. light carbonation. Aromas of nuts & bread. Tastes of malt, nuts & bread with some bitterness, leading to a aftertaste of sweet malt. Very enjoyable
2.3 Geruch: süßlich malzig Farbe dunkel Gold klar Geschmack: süßlich malzig erdig. Leichter körper
3.8 in fact there are slight brown to red reflexes in the glass, the color otherwise promises caramel malts etc.. foam is soft and slightly brown. What u expect is a malty sweet taste beer & what u get is a beer that has a refreshing hops in the belly as well as balanced malt aromas in the end. A brown beer even for the hot months of the year. These refreshing attributes of a darker beer i only used to see in some brews of bamberg. The carbonation presents strong even poured in a glass so i recommend using the taste hero or other ways to give it more oxygen for less co2/finer bubbles.
2.7 Bottle. Pours clear deep golden orange with a beige head. Aroma: corn, malt. Taste: light sweet & moderate bitter, spritzy, clean, biscuit malt. Medium body with soft carbonation
3.1 Not as good as the Uerige... but in that time I didnt know about uerige, so it was good to me. But when I found Uerige, I realized, that this is watery beer. No quality.
3.3 Adding in my 300 Beers To Try ticks because I want to see how they impact my stats and some of them I will never see again. Will however re-rate them when practical. Beers of Europe.
2.6 Dunkle bräunliche Farbe. Eine cremige und feststehende dunkle schsumkrone. In der Nase ist Malt, Gras, Nuss. Sehr Vollmundig. Der Antrunk ist süffig und im Körper schmeckt man vanillige, kirschige Noten. Der Abgang ist kurzlebig und das Vanille bleibt noch etwas auf der Zunge. Muss von der Holzfassreifung kommen.
2.9 Bottle from Beers of Europe. Copper-red pour with no real head, very malty, some caramel notes. OK.
3.3 Bottle 50cl. @home poured into a footed pilsner glass. Clear briljant copper colour, good frothy off-white head, half-way lasting, light lacing. Aroma toasted malt, caramel, iron. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, caramel, biscuit, sugary notes. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, smooth malty sweetbitter aftertaste, decent brew.
3.0 A fancy beer in a fancy bottle. Based on the name I did expect a Rotbier and not an Alt. Pale amber/copper beer wit some head. Quite sweet and a little watery. There are better Alts for better prices.
2.8 Flaska från Tyskland. Mörk klar guldig med smutsvit krona. Maltigt, någorlunda söt, knäckebröd, lätt rostad, mineral. Torr kropp. Relativt hög beska.
2.8 500ml bottle in 2016. Clear amber with a dense white head. Aroma of lager malt, slightly sweet notes and light peppery hop. Not a bad beer, but fairly unexciting.
3.2 Mecklenburgische Brauerei Lübz Duckstein 4.9%. Copper, light toasted malt aroma, light bodied, grainy malt, oaky, bready, nutty finish. Pleasant Altbier from Lübz, Germany 🇩🇪
2.5 together with yves at my home amber colored body with a white head and with a spicy yeast malt hop aroma a spicy yeast herby malt hop taste with a slightly bitter finish
2.9 Amber color with beige head. Bready malt on the aroma with some woody/earthy hops. Taste follows with bread crust, toasted malts and some hop bitterness for balance.
3.4 An under-brewed style. So it’s nice to get a malt forward german beer. Essentially a red lager, medium-low crisp body, with higher bitterness, but clean and crisp. Dresden irodion
3.0 Clear copper with a white head of foam. Sweet and grainy. Moderately nutty and toffee forward. Medium body and medium carbonation. 5,5,5,4,11
2.7 Keine Schaumkrone. Malziges Aroma. Geschmack setzt sich fort. Eher langweilig, lasch, wässrig mit Malznoten. Leichte Röstaromen.
3.4 Pours clear, copper amber. Small to medium head, with medium Lo stability. Smell is caramelly, malty, amber malts ( à bit) mild toastyness. Taste is rather bitter. Over a caramelly ( slightly) malty, bready back. Easy drinkable due to medium thin body, and medium low to medium Carbo. Not as aromatic malty as some other alt beers. Decent.
2.0 Interessante fles. bijzondere smaak. Bier is moutig en één beetje karamel qua smaak. -backlog de BierApp-
