3.5Tap at Craft Room. Hazy dull yellow body, white head. Citric perfumey hoppy notes, mild citric taste, pleasant. Bitterish herbal finish, quite nice and balanced, without being flashy at all.
3.433cl Bottle @ Saveur-Biere, Lille, France.
Hazy golden colour with a medium size white head.
Aroma is malt, hops, citrus.
Taste is malt, sweet, hops, citrus, herbs.
Medium to light body, average carbonation.
3.4Restrained citrus aroma in a light gold pour. Hop forward balance with a light fruity body and finish. Not bad for a sessionable brew (from the other side of the world).
2.7Bottle.
Pours hazy yellow with a big frothy white head. Ok retention!
Aroma is pretty much 50/50 pilsner/caramel malt and fruity/citrus hops.
Taste is very grapefuit bitter, on the verge of metallic bitter, faint malty, some cardboard.
Long lingering bitter aftertaste with some malt.
As with most Session IPAs - Just too plain bitter. Bitter bitter bitter. No malt backbone. Nope, not very enjoyable.
3.3Feb 17: gyllen med fint hvitt skum. Dufter friskt og lett tropisk mot citrus. Lett, søtt floralt anslag. Frisk og med lett og fin bitterhet. Lite kropp og litt kort. Ok, men finner ikke den vanlige Amarillo-kicken.
3.1Tap at the Junkyard. Aroma is a modest affair, pale malts and a whiff of peach but more understated than the young Hugh Grant. Pour pale yellow gold with circle of white lace, mostly lasting. Taste has light mediocrity of bitterness that sours a little. Palate is medium body, sticky feel, soft carbonation, abrupt finish . I hazard the view that this is a recurring experience with Scandinavian pale ale - variable quality.
3.4Bottle@o'leary nykping. Golden color with off-white head. Aroma has citrus, malt, grass. Taste is malty with quite long bitter aftertaste. Flavors of grapefruit, malt, grass. Nice one for this abv.
3.2[Malmö 2017] Draft sample @ The Bishops Arms Savoy. Clear golden almost a green huge, soapy white head. Nose is too yoghurt IPA, cornflakes, citrus cleaning products. Taste is too soapy & yoghurt heavy, cornflakes, citrus cleaning products. Yoghurt & cleaning products body, disappointing.
3.3Pours light transparent yellow, just a bit of foam there. Light grainy flavour, fresh hops, not too floral nor tropical. Touch of citrus. Good balance though and enough flavour for this low abv. Drinks pretty good and could imagine myself having a few pints on a hot summer day.
2.3330 ml bottle. Pours amber with light head. Aromas of dull stoned fruit, grass paper and mangoes. Flavors are a flatter more papery version of same
3.2A little too light, thin and average taste. Could leave more to desire. Ok but not much more....
3.1MoS flaska för bonus checken, Carlsberg glas. Barbarer. Mango, mandarin, citron mm i aromen. Lätt hazy. Lite metall ovh vatten i smaken. Har nog sett sina bästa dagar. Vet inte när den bryggdes....
3.6Bottle at home. Has a slightly hazy dark straw colour with a white head. Aroma of tropical fruits, grapefruit, pine, grass and some Tequila/agave. The flavour has more fruity hops, tropical fruits, grapefruit, pine and grass. Has a slick mouth feel, medium body and medium bitterness. A fruity and balanced SIPA. Nice and tastefull low ABV ale.
3.6Bottle from Cork & Cask. Hazy golden body with a medium white head. Lively carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of orange and grapefruit. Flavour of cheesy hops and minerals. Thin body with an oily texture. Light fizz. Clean and bitter.
3.233 cl bottle thanks to belmagnus! Sampled on July 10, 2017.
BB 04-05-2018.
Hazy golden color, small white head. Hoppy, green, a bit onion scent. Hoppy, citrus, green taste. Hoppy, sweet aftertaste. Medium body with a bit fizzy mouthfeel, low bitterness.
6/3/7/3/13=3.2
3.6Bottle from systembolaget Västerås. A decent session IPA with strong hop flavour and quite bitter finish.
3.4Bottle. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Light malty and heavy hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter citrus flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate.
3.50.33 flaske fra systembolaget. oransje uklar med hvitt skum. Aroma citrus tropisk gress. Smak tynn litt bitter og søt med frukt. Co2 middels
3.233cl bottle @Coalla, Oviedo. 23-01-2017.
BBD: not seen (bartender was so fast throwing away the cap...).
In short: watery bitter ale.
Pours hazy dark gold with frothy white head, rocky, persistance. Good irregular lacing. Some harsh aggresive notes in nose, among the citrusy and malty notes. Medium body, average carbonation, little crispy texture. Taste is mild bitter, fruity, citrusy, little watery.
3.0An okay Session, but I miss the hops. More like a Lager/Pilsner, with a hint of hops.
4.0330ml bottle. Hazy golden colour with a medium white head, good lacing and retention. Aroma: tropical and citrus fruits, grass. Taste: light sweet juicy tropical fruits, grapefruit, hint of pine, very low bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, nice mouthfeel, average carbonation. Lots of flavour for the ABV and very low bitterness make this very refreshing and highly drinkable, fantastic session IPA.
4.0Pours well from 330ml bottle, slightly cloudy. Not much aroma but pleasingly full flavour for a session IPA of only 4.2%.
3.5Keg tap at BrewDog Glasgow. Dark gold with some spotty white head and lacing. Mild but delicious aroma of white grape, ripe mangoes and a hint of papaya. Taste is surprisingly sweet as there is a gentle malt base as well as the fruity hop. Carbonation is soft which allows the gentle flavours to shine through. It’s simple and far from brash but it grows on me which is always a good sign. Recommended.
3.2BB 11-04-2017. Poured a light orangey-amber with a two- to three-finger bright white frothy head that retained well and laced OK. Carbonation high, lively and fine to medium. Aroma nicely of soft, fresh pine and citrus (grapefruit, lemon) and pale malt; semi-sweet with a nice hops profile. Taste of citrus (soft grapefruit with hints of orange and lemon) with moderate bitterness. Light to medium body. Crips, refreshing and slightly dry with a lingering moderate bitterness, pale ale-like. Easy drinking.
3.2Aroma; pine forest, grapefruit, lemon, pale malts, sour apricot, inviting freshalot. Look; misty morning golden, off white good head. Taste; mild grapefruit, pine needle soup, pale malts, a grain, a lemon fizz - airy citric ale finish. Feel; ok. Overall; as a pale ale, food friendly.
