Dugges Big Idjit

Dugges Big Idjit

This is a bigger and bolder version of our classic imperial stout Idjit. So, what does that make this beer then? An imperialer (it’s a word) stout? A more imperial stout? Let’s just say it’s big. Big idjit!

4.0 This should be named Huge Idjit! The flavor profile and the full body are huuuuuuge!! Even bigger than Trump’s ego. Also softer and more beautiful.
2.2 Draught at WFDP 2018. Dark chocolate, coffee, medium body, irritating green apple notes. Weak.
3.8 Pours black with one finger, tan head. Aroma is dried fruit, molasses and roast. Taste is fig and brown sugar, moving to roast, coffee and light vanilla. Finish is fig, vanilla, roast and coffee. A tasty stout.
3.6 on tap scura non molta schiuma caffe liquirizia liquore alcol abbastanza morbido ma ben presente
4.3 Black color and low carbonation. Moderate roast, some coffee. A little red wine and some iron. Thick. Heavy palate. Great beer.
3.8 330ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Firm bubbly fawn coloured head, spotty lacing, quite a lot of sediments to a jet black body. A solid cocoa bite to a roasted dark malty aroma. Mixed taste of chocolate, coffee, and cocoa on a backbone of molasses. Roasted bitter ending, long-lived and warming. Thick palate with sediments. Nice, but it might get even better after a year or two in the cellar. (Late on a Friday night at home in Tromsø 15.11.2019).
4.2 Amazing beer! Pitch black with a one finger high, beige-brown head. Taste of liquorice, dark chocolate, brown sugar, molasses, nuts, roasted malt, vanilla and syrup. A nose of dark chocolate, dark syrup, mocca, cacao, coffee, alcohol, caramel and roasted malt. Full body and light carbonation. Smooth and sweet. Great!
3.8 Aroma; roasted malts, bacon, fish, ham, soil, salt, sweat, tart, vegetables, but actually nice scents. Look; pale light brown head on blackety black body. Taste; chocolate, mocca, liquorice, cacao, roasted malt, nutty prune, and finishes floury with lingering chocolate sauce. Feel; gooood body n soft co². Overall; it`s a very good stout. For women too. [enjoyed with Northernlighters @BishopsArms Luleå]
3.9 11.2 oz. bottle from Root Cellar. Pours dark brown to black in color with a minimal khaki colored film. The aroma and flavor have dark roasted malts, dark chocolate, molasses, espresso, dried dark fruit, nice roasty earthy bitterness to the finish, a nice break from the onslaught of sweet pastry stouts these days.
4.0 Aromat intensywny, gorzka czekolada, kawa, delikatna paloność w tle trochę przypieczony spód od ciasta. W smaku kawowe, wyraźnie gorzka czekolada, delikatnie palone, alkohol dobrze ukryty. Klasyczne podejście do RISa, intensywny, czekoladowo-kawowe,
3.9 Very malty aroma with some milk chocolate. Dark brown color with a tight ring of brown foam. Taste brings back lots of that milk chocolate with big roasted malts. Smooth aftertaste. This is interesting.
3.9 Borefts 2019. Day 2. Nearing the end, walking around completely wasted. Sweet deep roasted chocolate malts. Big sweet sticky. Nice.
3.8 Tap @ BBF 2019. Black. Roast, licorice and caramel in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor with roast and licorice. Smooth, low on carbon. Hint of toffee and alcohol.
3.9 Borefts 2019 - Black colour. It's got a lot of cocoa bitterness. Oily. Full.
4.0 @Bbf’19, Caramel, fudge, roasted, dark chocolate, cacao, sharp alcoholic, artificial notes
3.7 Tap. Dark brown color with beeige head. Aroma is chocolate, roasty. Taste is roasty, liquorice, dark chocolate, quite some bitterness. Oily mouthfeel with low carbonation. Not bad.
4.2 From tap at Borefts 2019. Roasty aroma with intense chocolate, cocoa, more chocolate and roasted malt, coffee. Medium sweet flavour with a roasty bitterness. Full body. Sweet and rich, lots of chocolate, smooth, great.
3.9 Bottle at home, 28/09/19. Pitch black with a fast collapsing kahki head. Nose is big on fruit cake, raisins, dried fruits, cocoa powder, charr, bitter roast, faint coffee grinds. Taste comprises roast malts, brown sugar melt, chocolate, light black peppery spice, dates, burnt toffee. Full bodied, fine carbonation, light dryness in the close with a sustained but balanced rising boost. Xolid old skool leaning impy stout … not too sweet … good boost offered.
4.3 Sampled at Borefts 2019, Friday. A very dark brown beer with a tan head. Aroma of sweet chocolate, coffee and vanilla. Taste of sweet chocolate, caramel, coffee, vanilla, nice!!
3.5 27th September 2019 Borefts XI Day 1. Keg. Opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Smooth palate, mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts, cocoa bitterness and mild malt cream. Tangy dark fruits. Mild spicy finish. Fine.
4.0 Draught @ Borefts 2019 Aroma has strong cocoa notes and some licorice. Flavour has strong cocoa, licorice, some spiciness and saltiness. A tad too salty but still excellent stuff.
4.2 Inget skum. Lite kolsyra. Tjära, lakrits. Alkohol. Mumma
4.2 Bottle thanks to Lukaku. Real nice caramel chocolate aroma. Clear pitch black color with minimal sized brown head. Brutal taste, chocolate, cocoa, licorice, dark chocolate mousse. Thick, full body, creamy and oily, flat carbonation. Amazing.
4.0 Big, dark and rich, even creamy. A classic imperial stout, aroma is small but taste is big!
4.1 Kicsi, gyorsan elillanó barna hab, fekete szín. Csokis, kávés, kakaós illat, halvány aszalt gyümölcsös beütéssel. Csokis, kakaós-kakaóporos, kávés ízek, némi aszalt gyümölcsös, konyakos aromával. Leheletnyit édes, testes, enyhén szénsavas, erősen keserű. Kiváló imperial stout.
4.0 330 ml bottle from Systembolaget. Black with tanned head. Thick with roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and caramel. Semi dry with medium bitterness and soft carbonation.
4.0 Black beer, beige head. Sweet, boozy aroma. Flavour is malt, dark chocolate, anise, with a proper soft creaminess to it and a nice, warming boozy finish. Big lovely rich imperial.
3.5 Butelka 0,33 l. Piana beżowa, obfita, bardzo gęsta, nietrwała, szybko opada do obrączki. Kolor czarny, piwo nieprzejrzyste. W aromacie dominuje kawa i kawa zbożowa, całość dopełnia paloność, lukrecja, szlachetny alkohol i lekki sos sojowy, po ogrzaniu niestety wychodzi lekki aldehyd w postaci zielonego jabłuszka i bardziej wódczany etanol. Dobry deserowy RIS z drobnymi problemami, mimo to dość głęboki i intensywny.
4.7 (choco-café, texture sidérante (magma sirupo-mashé, ∞-miel-collant-compact, usage des malts sublime : ∞-nat-puissant)
