Premium Duggish. Black Currant is a sour beer fermented with black currants. To give the beer its sour taste we add lactobacillus to the mix. A beer within the New Nordic Beer Project, brewed with only Nordic ingredients.

3.8 A fine fruit sour ale. Significantly acidic, sourness between citric and lacto without acetic hints. Fruity, juicy, crisp. Very good.

3.6 Bottle, thanks yoav. Red-purple color with a pink-purple head. Lactic, berries, cranberries, black currants aromas. Sour, lots of berries, lactic, yogurt, lemon, dry finish. Medium-bodied, refreshing.

3.6 Well defiantly burst’s with Blackcurrant fruity ness and then you are hit with the sour and earthiness, fantastic. However it’s not a good morning after drink if you have had a good few beers the night before, unfortunately it started to give me heart burn half way through how once I battled through the uncomfortable sensation it prove most satisfying. it would be fine on a hot summers day with a cheese board in the back garden

3.7 A: zachęcający, owocow, pół słodki, trochę powidłowy, czuć czerwone owoce, porzeczki, malinę S: Owocowy kwasek, dość mocny ale przyjemny. Całkiem całkiem owocowe, bardzo wyczuwalna czarna porzeczka, czerwone owoce, no jest intensywnie owocowe. Dobry, orzeźwiający, soczkowy sour.

3.5 Keg at the Rusty Bucket, Eltham. Deep red pour with a pink head. Nose of raspberry jam, blackcurrant, blackberries, strawberries. Flavours of underripe blackcurrants, sour red fruit. Quite a dry number. Good stuff.

3.1 (Bottle) Reddish amber colour with frothy, pinkish off-white head. Fruity, tart nose with raspberries, black-currant, hay and a lactic acidity. Fruity, tart taste with notes of black-currant, raspberries, lemon, hay, spices and a tart and dry finish. Light to medium body, dry. Tart and a bit unrefined, but fairly tasty. Quite enjoyable.

3.7 Sour funky aroma with strong blackcurrant, forest fruit cake. Cloudy purple color with small sized pink head. Sour forest fruit milkshake taste. Thin body, average to lively carbonation. Nice one.

3.4 Taster at Noble Hops, Redfern. Pours a murky reddish amber with a white head. Aroma: black currant, blackberry, mild raspberry, mild citrus notes. Taste: black currant flavours dominate. Mild blackberry, tart red grape and citrus flavours. Moderate to high tartness. Moderate carbonation. Thin to medium bodied. A bit too tart and lacking complexity, but still quite enjoyable.

3.9 Bardzo mi podszedł. Wytrawny ale nie za kwaśny, naturalna, świeża i bardzo dobra czarna porzeczka, leciutka, owocowa słodycz, świetny balans i kompozycja, lekkie stajenne i taniczne nuty. Może śladowa witamina C. Bardzo orzeźwiające i pijalne, a czarna porzeczka jest tu super. Bardzo smaczne piwo.

4.0 Tap at Bishops Arms Östersund. Decent smell. Classic Swedish sour taste. Not the best but really good.

3.4 Tasting glass @ Billie’s Bier Kafétaria. Red candy berry, blackcurrant candy appearance, thick pink head. Nose is sour candy with yoghurt sweet, sweet blackcurrant syrup, like a sour version of a sweet fruit beer, same for the taste,… Low iron, plastic, chemical, cotton candy, yoghurt, blackcurrant syrup with sourness, artificial blackcurrant. Strange, bit of a mixed bag, thick syrupy, yoghurt body.

3.7 Keg at BrewDog Leicester. Purplish red and hazy with a pink ring of head. Light aroma of bla currant and a touch of Parma violets. Taste is surpringly sour but still allows the blackcurrant flavour to take centre stage. Wonderful sour berry in the finish and aftertaste, staying on the lips long after it's in the mouth. Heavy carbonation. It's not a complex beer but who cares? Neat little sour.

2.9 0,33 l flaske på RBHD-treff, Fritjoffen, april 2018. Klar rød kropp med lavt lyst skum. Ganske funky bæraroma med svoveltoner. Tydelig at melkesyre er brukt for her er det ingen restsødme. Solbærsaften gir litt fylde og smak.

3.5 Shared bottle at RB/HD on board Fridtjofen 12.04.18. Clear pale burgundy. Small pink head. Aroma of brett and berries. Acid taste of brett, sour berries, blackcurrants and wood. Very dry.

3.3 Shared 330 ml bottle at local tasting. ABV is 4.5%. Red colour. Aroma of blackcurrants and lactic acid. Sour flavour, notes of lactic acid and lemons, also blackcurrants.

3.2 0,33 flaske delt på RBHD-treff ombord på Fridtjofen, april-18: lett uklar rødfarge med ok skum. Tørr, sursyrlig aroma og smak med sure røde bær, solbær og høy. Slank, og med tydelig bærsyre i ettersmaken. Lukter også litt svovel sier AB.

3.0 0.33 bottle @ Hazy crimson color and virtually no head. Aroma of fermentation, sour fruits, black currant. Taste is insanely sour, a lot of currant. Light, slick, fizzy. Short finish, lotta fermentation and currant. Overall, intriguing yet not very drinkable.

3.2 Bottle from Pien. Dark crimson/purple color, pink head. Sour taste with black currant, raspberry, wheat, acidic notes and grass. Sour finish with black currant, raspberry, acidic notes, wheat and grass. Good sour ale.

3.3 Bottle. Pink color with off-white head. Aroma has black currant, sour elements. Taste is fruity with long sour aftertaste. Flavors of black currant, sour apples, lactose.

4.1 Organic "Nordic" sour. Bottle. Dark red with a thin rim. Scent is strong properties of nice natural cherries. Taste is lovely sour berry ale. Quite noisy on the sour spectrum. Interesting and enjoyable. Very great.

3.7 330ml bottle. Clear dark reddy purple with a thin pink head. Aroma of blackcurrants. Taste is also mostly blackcurrants, sour, quite tart, light funkiness. Light-medium body, lively carb. Nice though not liking it as much as the previous sours they've done.

3.4 SB Hultsfred flaska. Fin röd rackare. Frisk komplex doft. En korsning av rött och sitt och syrligt. Fin till osockrad frukt. Bättre än väntat fin underton av surkål på ett riktigt sätt !

3.4 Currant notes are very intense, a bit of grass and tart, red with a thin pink head, light body, quite fizzy, again currant notes and tart...enjoyable.
