3.7330ml bottle from Alesela. Dark brown black colour, beige foam head with alittle lacing and aroma of roast malt, orange citrus hoppy. Taste is smokey roasted malt, toffee, chocolate notes with floral fruity citrus grapefruit. bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry roast bitter finish. Very drinkable.
3.4330ml bottle from the beerhive. Pours opaque dark brown, thin beige head. Aromas of resinous hops, light toffee. Taste is bitter in both a roasted way, and an oily way. Good hop bitterness. Slight feel of two different things going on, not melding that well. Clashing a bit, but not a bad beer overall.
4.2Bottle from The Beerhive. Dark brown body with a modest beige head. Light lacing. Aroma of maple, plum, candy and treacle. Flavour of blackcurrant, brambles, muscavado sugar, liquorice and dark chocolate. Medium body with a creamy mouthfeel. Soft fizz. A truly special Black IPA - dark and fruity with something new revealed on every sip. I want to try more from this brewery.
3.9Aroma of faint roasted malts _and_ fresh fruity hops. First impact of the taste is roasted malts, dry coffee and a slight hint of licorice. After a few seconds the hops break through and leave you with a fresh cirusy finish. Pretty dry and awesome.
3.7Bottle 33 cl. Pours black with a warm, reddish hue and a light brown head. Very lively carbonation initially. Lovely hoppy aroma atop a subtle roastiness. Medium body, very soft - almost velvety - on the palate. Quite some roastiness neatly supplemented by perfumy hops. The finish combines bitterness from both hops and burned malts. Good one. 251114
2.2A smell of tropical fruit can be sensed from the bottle, but diacethyl is obvious when poured to glass. The taste is okay with hints of American hops with light bitter finish. Nothing fancy.
3.6330 ml bottle from Les Vignerons. Dark brown with some copper tinges, impossibile to see through, with a nice, creamy and persistent light beige head. Good lacing retention. Nice blended nose of hoppy and roasted notes, pine needles, strawberry jam, tropical fruits on one side and sweet milk chocolate, toasted malts, a hint of soy sauce and vanilla on the other one. Very smooth mouthfeel, no alchool presence at all despite the medium-high ABV. Perfect level of bitterness, not too subtle and not too extreme. Juicy in the beginning, more dry toward the end. Blackberries, tropical fruits and bitter blood orange in the taste, with some coffee and chocolate presence in the aftertaste. Overall, very balanced and harmonious. Average carbonation, medium body, slightly oily texture. Very nice!

3.9Bottle. Pours mahogany/black colour with one finger light beige head.
First very roasted aroma, after a while hops, chocolate, coffee and some dark fruit, cherry and/or plum?
Taste is coffee, grapefuit, citrus, pines and bit chocolate.
Good creamy, medium+ mouthfeel with medium carbonation.
Very dry finish with hops, pines, citrus, coffee and chocolate.
Everyway excellent and enjoyable black ipa.
4.1Almost Pitch black heavy liquid with a big beige foamy head that leaves lace.First sip and I imagined having a handful of freshly picked excellently aromatic hops. Mouthfeel is heavyish and buttery and dry but after a while it turns refreshing and a bit watery too. Oddly refreshing. Complex treasure.
Just close to perfect.
3.5Draft - Dark roast and piney hops. Jet black with a rich white head. Dark roast, pine hops and a bitter finish. Decent, but big on roast.

3.3Bottle, BBE -06-12. Generous ivory fluffy head. Taste is dry and roasty with piney and citrusy hop flavor, a bit soapy. Finishes with firm bitterness and roasty coffee notes.
4.0courtesy of fiulijn - clear dark ruby-brown beer with a littl long lasting beige foam; nice lace; shy hoppy aroma with notes of black cherries and licorice; hints of marzipan; full-bodied, tasty and bitter, quite dry; fairly toasted and malty hoppy finish where more licorice and marzipan can be met
3.7Black with white head. Aroma is hops, resin and malt. Taste is nice balance between hops and malt, sweetness and bitterness. Bitey finish but not lingering ad infinitum.
4.3On tap at Scratch Bar as part of the Weekend of Darkness event 200714. This is a very good black IPA, possibly the best I have had. Dark as night with a mix of hops and malt that combine to make for a great beer.
3.7330ml bottle from Systembolaget Passagen
Black stuff with nice sticky foam. Fresh hoppy and slightly burned aroma. Hoppy roasty flavour and feels good balanced beer. Nice one after sauna.
4.1Bottle. Pours dark brown color, huge beige head. Aroma is hoppy, cocoa, coffee. Taste is sweet, medium bitter, coffee, hoppy, chocolate, cocoa. Really nice black ipa, alcohol well hidden.
3.4Tastes like a hoppy porter more than a black IPA. Think coffee and earthy hops.
3.2(Bottle). Nice aroma of roasted malt and hops. Taste of hops and roasted a little burnt malt, experiencing it, however, as a bit boring and too sour. Especially the finish has a dull bitterness.
3.8Tap at Craft Beer Co, Clerkenwell. Darkest, clear, ruby red. Thin, sticky, lasting, tan head. Stewed, dark, sweet fruits. Liquorice. Light cocoa. Taste is grapefruit bitter, but with the cocoa element sweetening things up. Lovely, creamy, soft mouthfeel. Piny, bitter finish. Very tasty. Very nice.

3.6Bottle at the Black (IPA) Friday tasting, from an IP trade with Nisse666 - thanks Thomas, 09/05/14.
Black with a moderate tan covering that thins to spotting/edgework.
Nose is bitter roast, pine, tropicana, dark berry fruits.
Taste comprises light roast, burnt tones, bitter grapefruit, pine, scorched earth.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with semi aggressive hop bitterness.
Decent enough CDA.
3.4Bottle from one of the Gothenburg Systembolaget’s. Poured a clear dark brown with a broken light tan head. The aroma is grassy hop. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with a grassy spice hop pepper palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.
