Dugges / Stillwater Mango Mango Mango

Dugges / Stillwater Mango Mango Mango

It might sound like an echo, but it’s not. This collaboration with Stillwater Artisanal explores the true depth of Mango flavor. Three layers of taste and aroma from fruit and hops. Go Mango!
If you’re going to put fruit in a beer, there’s no better fruit to use then mango. At least that’s what Magnus here at Dugges Bryggeri says. So, when there was time for another Dugges x Stillwater Artisanal collaboration, Magnus posed the idea of a mango beer to Brian of Stillwater. Turns out, Brian had the same idea about mango and beer as Magnus. So, we set out to do a mango solo! To make it a sour was a no-brainer. We’ve got nothing but love for our sour collaborations so far, and we wanted to continue exploring that. Said and done, with mango flavor from two types of mango fruit and from mosaic hops we did it. Mango, mango, mango!

3.5 Name is on point. This isn’t a hint of mango, but full on. Lovely fruity and tropical. Quite sour. Very refreshing on a summer day. Super fruity, a little hops.
3.5 Mango! Superbalans syra söt.
3.4 God frisk, väldigt sur
2.7 330ml bottle. Cloudy yellow color. Sour, mango, salty, mango, mango, mango in aroma/taste.

3.4 Yellow, bit hazy with medium white head. Slight fruity aroma. Sour mango taste with almost no sweetness. Quite watery. #Labietis_deliveries
3.3 sour! a bit too light but not too sweet.

3.6 Bottle at home, koszi Panni! Pours opaque orangeish with thin white head. Nose is big mango, some lactic sourness. Taste is slightly sweet mango upfront, with a hint of passion fruit and some lactic sourness with just a touch of bitterness to it. Light body, average carbo. Tasty and all but soo one dimensional.
3.4 Very, very bitter sour. The aroma is..... mangoooo. Not very inspiring as a appearence. Without head, clear. Bitter and typical sour aftertaste.
3.5 Huge mango nose (dried mango + mango candy). Light lemon. Gold, almost clear, pretty much zero head. Flavou is medium sour, very light sweetness. Definitely get a good amount of sour but not overly complex in terms of flavour. Mouthfeel is a bit light, not much going on in this aspect. The aroma offers huge promise but the rest of the beer falls a bit flat. I have never smelled a beer with this much mango packed into the aroma, and for that, I still give it a decent review.
3.4 Golden, cloudy with a medium white head. A tropical fruit aroma, with some citrus sense. Medium sour, light bitter with a topical fruit finnish. Quite fresh
3.9 Butla. Za mało procent. Kolor mętny żółty. Piana na pół palca. Lacing bardzo dobry. Smak w porządku. Posmak grejpfruta, mango i cytryny. Ogółem spaniałe piwo, piwko to jest jak rosół.
3.7 Bottle. Pours clear yellow, small white head, decent lacing. Aroma is tart mango, grapefruit. Flavor is light plus tart, mango. Light plus body. Pretty solid
4.0 Mycket god och fräsh suröl!!
3.5 Nice bright yellow colur, small white head. Aroma is citrus pineapple mango. Taste is fresh, sour, some hay and a whole lot of tropical fruit notes.
3.7 33 cl bottle, pours clear yellow gold. Medium bodied, with very mango aroma. Nicely tart lemon and mango taste, followed by lingering sour fruit finish.
3.3 Bottle. A foggy orange colored beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is mostly on the mango side, with a light touch of canned peach and canned fruit syrup. It's a bit fizzy on the palate I think, it's quite dry and lightly tart, with a medium body fullness. It's a bit more fruit sour in the flavor than what I expected from the aroma, but that works well with the mango fruityness and notes of peach. Long mango driven finish. There's not much beer left here, the mango runs the show more or less on its own, but it's a tasteful and easy drinkable beer, and that counts too. 190601
3.4 Tap at 1420 (ty helen & juhan). Pours hazy golden. Aroma and flavor are massive mango, sour, fruity, watery, slightly acidic. Overall: ok.
4.1 0,33l bottle from Systembolaget Haparanda, shared with wiosna @ Lohiniva. Pours hazy yellow with a low head. Aroma is mango puree. Flavor is sour malts, loads of mango, a hint of hops. Damn tasty.
3.6 Tap at Murphy’s Law. Hazy yellow golden with white head. Mango, passion fruit, lactic sourness, dry grains, yoghurt, lime, fruity hops. Under medium sour and light sweet. Medium bodied with soft juicy feel.
3.8 Piwo jasnozłote, zmętnione, bez piany. W aromacie tropikalnie, multiwtamina, cytrusy. W smaku kawaśnie, cytrusowo i tropikalnie. Delikatna słodowa kontra.
3.6 Intense soured mango. Clearish light gold with a decent white head. Soured mango and a tart finish.
3.7 Draft at Tria Taproom. Foggy yellow gold pour with mostly dissipating white foam. Mango. Mango. Mango. Also notes of lemon, apricot, peach, and pineapple. Modestly tart. Nicely balanced. Not nearly as one note as expected.
3.8 Bottle from Cask & Flask in San Jose, CA. Aroma is mango, some yogurt, maybe mango lassi. Taste is sour, citric acid, sparkling soda, then some chalky mango flavor coming through. Like a sour mango lassi soda beer.
3.9 Bottle. Hazy yellow color with small off-white head. Aroma has lots of mango, citrus and sweet tropical fruits. Taste is fruity with long a bit sour and not so sweet aftertaste. Flavors of mango, tropical fruits, citrus and sour apples.
4.1 Pours very hazy orange juice golden, topped with thin and very nonlasting white head. Strong and very pleasant tropical mango aroma with soury character. Intense puckery sourness with gentler fruity presence and gentle mango sweetness finish. Lighter body. Very lovely. Soury in taste, mango in aroma.
4.3 Mango, mango, mango, kwaśność. Soczyste, cytrynowe. Nisko nagazowane. Bardzo orzeźwiające. Bardzo dobre.
4.0 Bottle at home 29.9.2018.
3.7 33 cl. bottle @ home, served in a teku glass. Due date: 03/2020. Aroma: quite intense aromas of mango. Hints of tropical fruits, grape, wine must. Very subtle wine vinegar and malts overtones. Appearance: straw to light gold color with perfectly white foam. High head thickness with low retention and no Brussels' lacing. Low to medium haziness. Taste: low sweetness, low bitterness, medium sourness. Very intense flavors of mango, tropical fruits, grapefruit. Hints of white grapes, white wine and white wine vinegar, citrus, tangerine, lactose, yogurt, unripped mango. Balance is towards the sourness but the acid is well countered by the malt backbone. Palate: low to medium body, watery to oily texture, medium carbonation, very long dry and sour finish with low bitterness and medium sourness and the same aforementioned flavors. Alcohol is not noticeable at all: no alcohol sweetness, no throat nor mouth warming. Low to medium astringency / tongue puckering. Overall: quite good appearance but low retention and no lacing. Good aromas and flavors of mango and tropical fruits. Very refreshing and thirst-quenching. Very interesting and good beer. It would be better with less astringency and a more oily texture.
