3.6On tap at the brewery. Dark clear gold with a white head. Mild pine and cedar aroma with some grapefruit citrus. This would be a good session pale ale. Pleasantly good long smooth finish with some lemon citrus. Great lacing.
3.024 oz on tap at Clearwater Threshers game, light amber appearance with moderate head. Aroma is very light and sweet with predominant fruityness. Becomes more fruity as the drink warms up. Taste is also sweet with a little bitterness. Palate is rough but has a nice clean sweet aftertaste.
3.0Not a bad pale. Definitely drinkable. Nothing "wow" about it but a good solid beer. Light and refreshing, simple but good flavor.
3.3Tap at Dunedin at RBWG 2010 bus tour. Pours a mostly clear deep golden copper with a thin lasting white head. Aroma is a light buttery note, cracker, leather, lemon zest, citrus and earth. Flavor is orange, lemon, crackery, light sweetness, earth, dust, mineral, thin and some leather and soap in the finish with herbal bitterness.
2.8On tap at the brewpub during RBWG 2010. Some hop character in there, but mainly it reminds me of old homebrew... not impressed here.
3.6Draft @ the brewpub during RBWG weekend. Pours hazy dark golden color with white head. Pine hop aroma. Bitter pine hop flavor balanced with caramel malts. Medium body with average carbonation.
3.1on tap pours pale amber with a thin white head. Soapy lemon aroma. Sweet pale malts with lots of metallic and citrus hop flavors.
3.5Glowing light amber color/ white head. Mild fruity hop, honey sweet malt aromas. medium body. Good lightly sweet honey n’ biscuit malt flavor with soft floral hops. tasty.
3.4Bottle from Josh. Pours clear copper with a small white head. Fruity/floral aroma. Medium body with sharp carbonation. Flavor is bitter and fruity over mild roast malt. Not at all harsh. Quite tasty. Finishes clean and bitter.
3.0Bottle from a trade on BA - thanks, Stephen! Faintly cloudy orange pour with a moderate head. Aroma suggests grassy hops gone to seed a bit, leaving a biscuity malt residue. Mouthfeel is average, with some fruit flavors mixed in with a fairly bland hop profile. Papery finish, a bit meh. I’d like to have it fresh on tap, but as is it’s pretty boring.
2.5Bottle thanks to ericandersnavy. Orange in color with a small white head. Aroma is of caramel, light hops and cardboard. Taste is cardboard, caramel, hops and honey.
2.0Bottle thanks to ericandersnavy. Color was gold with a white head. Very sour tatse with honey. Aroma of honey, lemon, and banana. Not my style of beer.
3.0Bottle thanks to ericandersnavy. The look is golden in color, has a foamy white head, and is clear. The smell is honey, fruits, sweet, and some yeast. The taste is malts, hops, and floral.
3.3Bottle thanks to ericandersnavy. Pours a clear yellow with small head. Nose is caramel and sweet pale malts. The taste is the same, with a slight lingering bitterness. Just average for me.
3.0(Draught and 12oz bottle, courtesy of ericandersnavy) Pours a lightly hazy orange body with a moderate egg-white head. Aroma of florals, herbs, grass, grain, and orange. Flavor of caramel malt and mild hops (citrus, grass) with a moderately bitter finish. Fairly average pale ale.
3.1Pours orange-gold with a moderate white head. Aroma of old citrus and something that was reminding me of bleu cheese. Pungent. Tste of burnt lemon, toast and spice. Finishes bitter, buttery, and citrusy. Bit of an oddball.
3.2Bottled thanks to Kevin! Poured clean medium golden with a tall, sticky off-white head. The aroma picked up grassy and floral notes over soft, sweet caramel.. OK, but lacked drawing power. The flavor found orange zest and pine bitterness over pale and caramel malts.. grainy residual sweetness on the finish. Light-medium bodied with moderate-to-high bitterness on the palate.. OK balance and flow.
2.3bottle, thanks to ericandersnavy, amber color with dry faint aroma, flavor is grainy malts
2.9bottle from the very generous kiefdog. poured a light amber with a white head. aroma of caramel and hops. flavor was grains, bitter hops, and caramel. light body and medium carbonation.
2.7Bottle thanks to ericandersnavy. Pours a clear gold with fizzy white head. Aroma is a little fruity with a little malt. Flavor of a little malt, a little malt, some fruit. Mouth feel is light body, watery, with high carbonation. Overall, not bad, pretty weak though on the flavor, is refreshing...
3.3Pours copper/orange. Aroma is malt, hops, caramel, and some fruit. Flavor is much the same, is a dry, but refreshing finish.
3.012oz shared by smokepot23, thanks Joey. Pours orangey with a 2 finger tan head. Nose is sweet, taste is just ok.
2.7Bottle courtesy of hopshunter – thanks Jason ! Pours clear dark gold with a 2 finger beige head that leaves chunky lacing. The nose is caramel malt and some citrus. The taste is malt and light vegetable juice with some faint pine in the finish. Medium bodied. Not great, but drinkable. The vegetable thing detracts everything a bit.
2.812 oz. bottle. Malty smell predominates immediately after pour. Light copper color w/ a think white head that dissipates quickly. Certainly more malty w/ a touch of caramel. Expected more hoppy bitterness. Light to medium bodied, finishes a little dry and toasty.
3.0Bottle in trade from kiefdog. Thanks for this extra, man! Pours a nice amber color with short lived beige head. Smell is tart maltiness, light fruitiness and a touch of dough and hops. Taste is a touch hoppier with a pleasant bitterness, slight sweet finish and a bit of yeast flavor as well. Perfectly drinkable and a decent pale ale. Thanks again!
2.8Amber pour with thin white head. Nose of sweet malts, caramel and hops. Flavor is a bit darker than I’d like, with a sweet flavor along with the hops. Odd.
3.0Bottle courtesy of Beerlando. Pours copper with a thin white head. Smels of caramel, earthy, grassy. Tastes sweet and caramelly with some spicy bites on the finish.
3.1Dull amber. Fruity-caramelly type of aroma. Woody hop. Moderate bitterness. Creamy body. Caramel maltiness in the sweetish finish.
3.0At brewpub. Clear red with slight tan head and scattered lacing. Sweet caramel aroma. Diacetyl is integrated well like in an English-style pale ale. Decent flavors, but a bit too sweet. Some dark sugars. Fruity and not hoppy. Decent, drinkable and sweet pale ale.
2.3Bottle from Orlando Total Wine...not that great. Golden pour, white head. Aroma is faint at best with some subdued malts and weak hops. Flavor is about the same. I actually think this is overrated on RB.
