Dupont Bière de Miel (Biologique)

Dupont Bière de Miel (Biologique)

Bière de Miel is bottle conditioned and contains only water, barley and wheat, honey, hops and yeast. It has a marvelously delicate scent of honey, balnaced by a dry palate, resulting in a beer that is both estery and refreshing.

Disclaimer: Both the normal and the organic (biologique) version.

3.6 Medovy paradne vyvazeny saison
3.5 330ml bottle pours pale amber with foamy white head. Aromas of overripe stone fruit, honey and bready yeast. Tastes of honey, pear, orange peel, floral characters, pepper and cloves. Rich with slight viscous texture. Plenty of sweetness and fruit characters in the finish.
3.3 On Tap @Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Bruselas. 15/11/2019 Color amarino espuma blanca, aromas dulces, espaciadas, notas a miel, sabor dulce, cuerpo medio.
4.5 Golden color with some red hints, hazy, two fingers white head and a lot of carbonation. Very nice and sweet aroma like candy, caramel sugar, fruit syrup, cloves, a bit of vanilla. Sweet taste, easy drinking, refreshing, the carbonation is just perfect. The taste is like honey, sugar, a bit spicy, a bit floral. Thr finish is sweet where you can feel a combination of honey and alcohol.
3.3 Bottiglia.
3.3 Bottle. Been rotting in the beer fridge probably 2 years. Don’t like honey in pale beer, but thought it had to go sooner or later. Medium gold. Light haze. A few floaters. Fine white head. Nose has runny honey. Pappy bread. Tons of stinky yeast. Yeah, it’s a Dupont Beer. Taste is expectedly sweet, with a moderate herbal bitterness. Medium body. Drinks well under the ABV. Never thought this was 8%. Foamy carbonation. Sweet and estery throughout. Light bitter finish. Not my bag, but certainly not a bad beer.
3.5 33cl bottle. Pours a golden colour thin white head. Aroma sweet honey bit spice. Taste sweetish spicy . Overall ok bit sweet, but not as much as other honey beer
3.2 Sweet fruit citrus aroma. Murky yellow colour good head and lacing. Sweet stone fruit flavour. Smooth palate.
3.6 2016 bottle from Craft Brewed shared at a Lucky Bamboo share. Pours a clearish orange gold with a full 2 fingers of white foam that lingers. Dried honey and classic DuPont yeast aromas with straw, hay, apricot, mineral and faint floral, chiffon cake notes. Sweeter than regular DuPont on the palate with the honey really standing out. Full bodied and slightly heavy with a lingering banana, peppercorn and dried honey finish.
2.9 Copenhagen 3/5 2019. 25 cl bottle from Vin de Table, Frederikssundsvej, Kbh NV. The ingredients of the beer on the label. Corn, hops and honey. Makes a point about being “Biologique”. Slightly too old (Best before october 2018). Pours hazy amber with a small white head. Settles as flimsy layer foam drifting around. No,Lacing. Aroma is honey sweet, perfumed and candy-like bubbly-gum with light sour notes. Citrus and lemon. Light odor of barnyard. Light carbonation. Thin. Watery, lightly prickly texture. Flavor is quite sweet followed by a light art sourness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a touch of honey. Lingers for a while. A bit too sweet and candy-like for my taste. But a nice touch of stables in the aroma.
3.7 Bottle from Carrefour Supermarket, Calais, France. Hazy golden coloured with a thick white head of foam. It has a floral fruity, honey and lemon flavour with spices, vanilla and almonds on the smooth, warming finish. Very good.
3.0 Bottle. Pours medium hazy, soft orange colour with little head. Aroma is bitter orange, coriander, strong phenolic notes, honey, hay. Flavour is strong phenolic, almost medicinal, bitter orange peel, honey, sweet malt. Good.
3.3 Hazy golden coloured, honey and yeasty pretty weird aroma, medium sweetness.
3.4 Pale golden-yellow color with soapy, small white head and slow bubbles. Intense aroma of honey, especially natural honey and honeycomb. Taste is also filled with honey plus yeasty notes, non-overdone sweetness and a bit acidic finnish. Great!
3.7 18 April 2018. Bottle at Waterhuis aan de Bierkant, Ghent. Shared with Anke. Pours cloudy yellow with a big, lasting, foamy, white head; lacing. The aroma contains honey, perfumed soap, yeast, straw, biscuit, fresh French apricot & peach jam, some caramel. It tastes medium honey-like sweet, bit dough-like, perfumey and flowery, and light spicy bitter. Peppery hop finish, a bit dry with retronasal honey. Medium body, creamy texture, fizzy carbonation. A very good honey ale.
3.5 Aromat wyraźnie miodowy (wrzosowy ?), bardzo przyjemny, z nutka gumy balonowej. Barwa jasno złota, zamglona z ładną białą pianą. W smaku umiarkowana słodycz i znowu miód, ciastka, lekki alkohol. Goryczka niewielka. Pełnia średnia, umiarkowane wysycenie i kwiatowo- miodowy finisz.
2.5 @ Brussel 17-11-23 (backlog rating). Aningen för söt och obalanserad. Toner av örter och jäst.
3.6 Bottle. Golden color with off-white head. Aroma has yeast, fruits, bread and honey. Taste is fruity with quite long a bit sweet aftertaste. Flavors of fruits, yeast, sweet malt and spices.
3.4 Small bottle at home. Hazy light golden with white head. Light flowers, spicy yeast, quite herbal. There’s some rosemary and thyme, with soft honey, roses, violets. Sweet malts and again some white pepper and light cloves. Over medium sweet, just medium bitter and a hint of sourness. Medium bodied with creamy carbonation. The honey and bitter herbs clash a bit, it’s not bad but not my fave Dupont.
3.6 Bottled 0.75 L, BB 2015, i guess around 5 years old. Quite some pressure still, golden colored, tiny yeast particles floating around, nice head. Nose is Saison combined with honey, and some overaged Tripel notes. Yeasty flavor, quity dry, honey. Remarkably it doesn't really taste that aged. In finish the age does become clearly apparent though. Still, bonus points overall for holding up so nicely after all these years.
