Biolégère/Avril is Brasserie Dupont’s Biére de Table. Aromatic like fresh bread, full in the mouth and light on the finish.

2.722/02/2019 - 25 cl bottle @De Kleinkeuken, Kortrijk.
Clear golden, small white head. Nose is malts, a bit hops. Taste is grains, hint of hops, yeast,, a bit wattery. Might have a been a nice low alcohol at the time but now there are much nicer examples with less alcohol and more taste.
3.3Tap at Delirium Cafe, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a hazy light golden colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy earthy malt, some light citrus. The flavour is light watery acid citrus, light sweet, with a light, fresh, crisp, light fruit, light pepper spice palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.
3.6Pours a lightly hazed golden and white head. Light spiced aroma and taste.
Notes: Bottle pour
3.4Bottle 0,25ltr: Hazy yellow coloured brew with an nicely dry bitter taste, some fine hints of white pepper to mask the low abv.
3.5Bottle, picked up somewhere in Brussels. Clear, light gold. Thin, tight, white head. Nose has doughy bread. Banana flumps. Light, pepper spice. Taste is sweet and a little dry. Touch of yeasty twang. Light body. Foamy carbonation. Dry finish, with a soft, pepper spice bitterness.
3.5250 ml bottle bb 06/2020, at Eetkaffee Multatuli, Gent.
Pale golden, medium hazy body, with a big, fluffy, lacing, off-white head.
Aroma of doughy yeast, bread, straw, lemon, some grass, some dried yellow fruits.
Tastes similar.
Light, slick mouthfeel, with a fizzy carbonation.
Finishes quite light, yeasty, doughy, citric, a bit grainy.
Nice one. Very sessionable, while still not light, with a straight, yeasty character. Nothing outstanding, but a great thirst quencher.
Score: 7 / 4 / 7 / 3 / 14
3.2Pours hazy straw colour, topped with a foamy though not lasting white head. Spicy aroma, some gentle sweaty wheat notes and more ripe bananas. Taste gently sweet upront, medium spicy, soem bitterness with a quite peppery finish. Sparkly body, light. Not a bad one.
2.60.25l bottle. Slightly hazy pale yellow body with an enormous white head. Aroma and taste of sweet bready malts, pepper and a hint of grassy hops. The body is watery and the finish is kinda empty. Drinkable table beer, but really not much to it.
3.5Bottle from the Dupont Brewery. Hazy golden amber beer with a thin white foam head. Nose is classic saison dupont aroma with funk, floral, grassy, yeasty, meringue, caramel, French bread, fresh cut grass, lemon peel, perfumed yeast. Body and alcohol volume is much lower though so this is light. Lightly hoppy bitter, floral, grassy, funky, lemon citrus, bready. Very nice and refreshing but in a world where Saison Dupont exists I'll choose that first everytime!
3.1Robe blond clair, très léger voile. Belle mousse, tenace, belle effervescence. Nez citronné, de blé. En bouche, acidulé, et suivi par une belle amertume houblonnée. Frais, un peu aqueux. Se boit bien, rafraîchissant. Après, pas plus fou que ça.
2.8250 ml bottle best before 10/2006 at Kulminator. Pale unclear orange, small head. Grain, honey, basement notes, bread, hay, sea grass, sea salt, dead yeasts. Mild taste. Very light bodied, low carbonated, abrupt finish. Very vintage-like...
3.4Bottle. Hazy glowing pale golden color with white head. Aroma is fresh flowery, freshly cut grass, peppery yeast, dough. Taste is the same, but with a tiny touch of veggies, though not too much, mostly focusing on flowers and peppery yeasts. Silky mouthfeel with high, but soft carbonation. A session version of their Saison, though I am not sure it's worth the ABV tradeoff - at least for this particular bottle that is a bit veggie.
3.125cl Bottle @ Beergium, Le Roeulx, Belgium.
Hazy golden colour with a thin white head.
Aroma is yeast, wheat, citrus, herbs.
Taste follows the aroma.
Medium body, average carbonation.
3.1The bottle I had (as Avril) tasted a bit lightstruck, and so I got some skunky notes. But overall, it was a decent session saison.
3.0From 2d2despuma. In Teku glass. Playing Avernum 2. Green apple, pear notes, dry and with a very light funkyness. Fine but boring, too bland.
3.425cl bottle best by Jan 2020 - nose is wheat and black/white pepper. Light. Light hop finish.
3.6Une saison bio et légère qui porte bien son nom donc. Une petite Dupont bien sympa.
2.5Bottle from beershop. Golden color, white head. Malts, yeast, but not really flavoured....
3.3Bottiglia.
3.6Bottle from Hopduvel. Hazy colour, white foam. Typical Dupont yeast in aroma, wheat, lemon, grassy. Rather dry and easy drinkable. Nice!
3.1Bottle from 100 piv. Vona kvasinkova. Farba mutna zlta. Chut taktiez kvasinkova, jemna.
3.4Bottle 25cl. @home poured into a tumbler. Light sourish nose, hazy straw yellow, good two finger frothy white head, half-way lasting, good lacing; aroma, wheat, lemon, yeast, yoghurt; taste light sweet and bitter, mild acidic notes, wheaty, lemon; mild sweetbitter aftertaste, chalky and spicy notes; light body, watery texture, average carbonation; fresh and quaffable.
3.5From a 25cl bottle. Pours a clear pale yellow body with a nice white head.
Aroma of grains, bread and yeast. Flavors of malts, bread, grains, hops. A bit light body, but that is a good point, can be a wonderful session beer. Nice balance of light but tasty flavors, malty ans hoppy, with a light but pleasant bitterness.
So easy to drink, refreshing and pleasant. One more please? Why stop at one?
3.7Hazy. Bold straw yellow colour with a large, bubbly head. Aroma is wheat and grass. Taste is spicy yeast, lemon, and black pepper. Hoppy bite at the end.
Yellow/golden hazy bright pour, white medium low foam with minimal retention. Nose is spicy, a bit citric kind of lime, zest. Mouth is easy although with a valuable character, crackery, lime, with spicy sparkling finish. Summer good drink
3.4Bottle from Beergium. Hazy gold white head. Sweet and black peppery yeast aroma with a malty core. Tart, malty, somehow a bit empty, very very dry. Palate is desert dry and a tiny bit of bitter hopiness. The aroma is really promising, classic dupont, but after it?s kinda plain. I suppose the low alcohol content limits the complexity. Still a nice refreshing warm weather beer.
3.8I bought this bottle Place de l’Aligre in Paris. I drank it yesterday at home, relax with this rainy day in Lausanne. In my opinion, it is a pleasant beer due to the low rating of alcool, probably high fermentation. The limit of date was 11/2018 and the aromas were perfect. The body is yellow/creamy and troubled, white head, normal carbonation. The taste is with good notes of wheat, malt, creamy at the palate, good side of hop, at the final, you have notes of banana, a good beer to be refresh and not so expensive.
3.9Slightly cloudy, pale yellow pour with thick, fine foam that fades into a rocky cap. Lots of tart, musty yeast in the nose with some floral elements around the edges. Some herbal notes emerge along with some saline and mineral through the tartness. Light / medium body, perhaps slightly watery with active, visible fizz. Familiar Dupont mineral flavors (sulfur?) and phenol and a surprising bright pilsner malt streak. The spices are a little muted, but stand well on top of the malt. The tartness is much less noticeable on the tongue. The finish is slightly sweet, not as dry as expected. I suspect the comparatively low rating has to do with the malt presence and the slightly bitter finish. The low ABV makes it very refreshing and drinkable. Very easy to imagine it on a hot summer’s day.
