3.4 Bue en bouteille de 33cl. Belle amertume. Alcool présent, corpulente. Levure sur la fin. Pas ma préférée des 6.
4.5 From Belgium in a Box. In Teku glass. Playing Magic Duels vs Lorenzo. More citrusy, refreshing and bit more watery than the normal Duvel. Im not sure if I prefer it over the normal one, but this is very good too. Very foamy, had to pour it in 2 steps.
3.6 Bottle sample at a tasting at Stas’ place. Clear light gold, almost green, with a white head. Floral, a little oily and leafy aroma, bitter, floral and a little pine taste. Full body, highly drinkable, bitter, floral finish.
2.2 Bottle @ home from Tripel Hops Tasting Box from Cash Flandre Artois, Auchy-les-Mines. Color: clear golden blond beer with high carbonation and medium white foam. Typical as a Duvel. Smell: grassy and hay domination. Alcohol boozy finish. Taste: medium body with good sweet malt backbone balanced with grassy hops. Dry boozy finish. Astringent alcohol. So strong... Not so fruity. Aftertaste: astringent alcohol. Boozy.
3.5 Bottle at Nialls. Pours hazy yellow, nose is bready, yeasty, orange, taste is peppery, toffee, sugary, caramel. Guessed Hbc
3.5 Bottle split at CBC Clerko tasting, thanks to Brian, 07/07/16. Pale yellow with a decent off white cap. Nose is dank hop exhaust, citric kissed straw, pissy notes, lemon rind, hay. Taste comprises light pine bite, lemon rind, tangerine, straw, bread dough, yeast esters. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a hoppy rasp. Drinks well for the ABV.
3.6 Bottle 0.33l at home Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Thanks to Zlotta for finding this in Mitra. 24.09.2016. Taste as Number One with Vlada Ciaoooo and Jelena. Pour it hazy golden color with medium white head. Aroma Belgian yeast, spice, nice Duvel note. Taste starts with sweet note, continues with pretty dry, spice, fizzy carbonation, medium body, nice balanced, just pinch if bitterness at the end, after taste dry. Ok nice
3.5 Duvel Moortgat by Duvel Tripel Hop #1 - 2010Rami Rami is drinking a Duvel Tripel Hop #1 - 2010 by Duvel Moortgat at PowiślePorownanie citry i amarillo. Sa inne. Citra istrzejsza, bardziej cytrusowa, amarillo daje "slodszy" aromat. Bez sikow kocich. Oba bdb. i maly dopisek, ze roznice sa ewidentne, niemniej wcale nie sa duze, obstawiam, ze jakby miec tydzien przerwy miedzy jednym a drugim to przy zgadywaniu ktore jest ktore byloby... powiedzmy 55% trafnosci ;) oba sa bdb, oba maja fajna podbudowe slodowa, te wrzystkie brzoskwinie, w obu alko jest fajowo ukryte, no jak to w duveleach... a, i naumialem sie mowic ostatnio jak belgowie - duwle :) dzieki, Przemek :) Ocena potraktowana skryptem do przeliczania ocen (uzgodnienie UT/RB).
3.8 Bottle (from saveur-biere) as duvel tripel hop 1. Pours hazy yellow with huge white head. The head stays. Aroma is basically the same as classic Duvel: Belgian yeast, fruits and spices, maybe a bit more citrus. Aroma is also mostly classic Duvel: sweet, sour, and bitter, yeast, fruits, spices. There is bit more citrus in flavor and also very faint hint of caramelly notes typical for Amarillo. Overall: this is really similar to the classic Duvel, maybe more citrus in aroma and flavor, but not really that different. I actually prefer the regular one to this.
4.1 Bottle. Bright golden color with white head. Aroma - Tropical, orange, malt, grass. Taste - Bitter, mango, lemon, spice, flowers.
4.0 Kolor z?oty z delikatn? mgie?k?. Piana wysoka, trwa?a, drobno p?cherzykowa. Pozostawia mnóstwo zdobie? na szkle. W aromacie owoce, nuty kwiatowe, jest lekko s?odki. Smak rewelacyjnie orze?wiaj?cy, ?wie?y, ponownie akcenty kwiatowe i owoce cytrusowe. Wysycenie wysokie, idealnie tu pasuje. Alkohol idealnie ukryty a jest go niema?o.
4.5 slightly opalescent pale yellow colour, medium sized, dense still not cream white head; aroma of grapefruit, tropicl fruits like lichee and mango, maybe some tangerine, too, grains, pine notes and hints of vegetables; bittersweet taste with the same notes and spicy peppery-alcoholic aftertaste; incredibly fruity! - almost like a new-world IIPA; I’m fully amazed!
3.5 33cl. Bottle. Pours clear yellow with white head. Aroma spice, yeast, grapefruit, citrus. Taste some sweets, dry citrus bitter. Mouthfeel thin. Great brew.
3.5 Bottle. Golden pour. Aroma of grain and yeast mostly. Fresh taste of grapefruit, bitter grassy hop, yeast and grain. Nice.
3.2 July 2016 - Bottle share at Craft Beer Co Islington as ’Duvel Tripel Hop 1: Amarillo’. Many thanks to Bryan. Light yellow, highly sparkling, clear, foamy white head, thick white lacing. Aroma is airy, biscuity, breakfast tea with milk. Body is light, smooth, soft carbonation. Taste is light malts, spicy, booze, white pepper with a dry, quite abrasive, finish. Booze and yeast, spicy. (3.2)
3.8 Witte kraag, kleine belletjes. Nevelig geel bier. Aroma van peper, citrus, hout, lychee. Bitter, licht zuur. Volle body, prikkelend co2.
3.6 Coffret tasting box 2016.
3.6 Bottle from Terre de Boissons and drunk at home. Part 1 of the Duvel Triple Hop recreation. Clear bright gold colour lasting white head. some esters on the aroma. some peach and lemon yep like Duvel but stronger hotter on the finish. hops are there. some earthy woodiness and bitterness and a little fresh hop flower. really boozy of the finish. a little uncultured on the hop and the hop is a little harsh. I like the Base Duvel beer flavour though. too fizzy
3.7 Bottle 33cl. Light cloudy yellow with a nice white head. Good hoppy aroma, but not as dominant as some other american hops. Rich taste, where you taste the alcohol and the bitter hops. Long bitter finish. Good beer. P.S. Tasted this as the re-brewed Duvel ultimate Tripel hop 1
3.8 Bottle shared at Craft Beer Co Islington - London. Many thanks to Bryan. Pours clear yellow with a frothy, white head. Light dank hops in the nose, melon, grapefruit, pale bread. Medium sweet flavour with rich melon and grapefruit. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Juicy and lightly resinous in the close-out. Real solid stuff.
3.0 Bright golden with a frothy large white head. Aromas of lime and herbal orange notes dominate with hints of lime and grapefruit offering a touch of lychee and papaya. Effervescent, slick and full bodied. Medium sweet with pronounced bitterness offering a lasting dry bitter finish. Using Amarillo you would expect more of its attributes...
3.8 Poured into my Duvel glass. Hazed dark golden color with a tall, off-white (hints of yellow) head. Spice and tropical fruit of Amarillo really come out in the aroma. Hints of bananas, alcohol, and pale malt in the background. Light sweetness from the malt, but quite masked by the bitterness. Wood/pine bitterness overtakes everything from the middle to the finish. The linger is really only left to the hop oils and some spice from the alcohol and the hops. 6/10
3.5 Bottle shared at the CBC big bottle share. 7/7/2016. Thanks to Bryan for this one. A translucent yellow straw coloured pour with a a lasting thin white head. Pear drops, apple, light midget gems. Flavour is composed of light grains straw, petrol, fruity lemon hop, midget gems. Palate is medium light, frothy carbonation. Decent. Some hot alcohol.
3.5 Bottle at Craft Islington, thanks to Bryan. It pours clear pale gold with a thick white head. The aroma is fresh, bready, stewed orange, orangeade and sherbet. The taste is crisp, bitter, stewed orange, tangerine, cereal, straw, light banana, pear, apple with a dry, warming finish. Medium body and moderate - high carbonation. Plenty of boosty orange character. Decent stuff.
3.8 33 cl. bottle as part of the tasting box @ home, bought from Barend. Light golden with a white head. Grassy hoppy aroma. Malty taste with some grapefruit. very fresh and lively. Great tripel hop
3.7 33cl bottle shared at the July London Tasting @CBC Islington. It pours a clean straw color with a small white head. Aroma is tangy funky with notes of lemon peel, barn yard, grass. Taste is medium sweet and lightly tangy and lemony with notes of barn yard, lemon peel, citrus, persimmon. Light to medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, tasty
3.0 Bottle at RB London Meet. Hazy yellow color, small steady white head. Aroma has hay, grass and citrus. Medium-bodied. Sweetish fruityness, Duvel yeasty. Quite close to normal one.
