3.3 All qualities of blond ale, a bit peppery powdery aftertaste. Medium but not enough for me level of bitterness. And a bit too carbonized for trying to catch some sort of balance.

3.5 Large frothy off-white head. Excellent lacing. Mostly diminishing. Translucent yellow body. Aroma: moderate malt, heavy hoppy, grass, orange. Initial flavor: moderate sweet light acidic bitter. Final flavor: light sweet moderate bitter; average duration. Palate: light medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, metallic light alcoholic finish. dulçor inicial com forte presença de laranja, sabor bem fresco de lúpulo, refrescante, malte aparece mais para o final do gole, bem como o álcool, que inicialmente estava mais ‘escondido’. Mesmo assim, não prejudica nuances. O final lembra mais a duvel tradicional. Boa drinkability. Amargor escalante traz ótima atenuação.110 s

4.0 Bei dem Duvel Tripel Hop haben wir die drei Aromahopfensorten Citra, Saazer Hopfen und Styrian Golding angegeben. Die Nase sagt uns Grapefruit und Zitrone im Vordergrund, im Hintergrund etwas Nuss und Erde. Der grobporige Schaum ist erst üppig aber bald verschwunden. Die Farbe ist goldgelb und klar. 9,5% Alkohol mahnen zur Vorsicht. Beim Antrunk setzt ein leichter Hefegeschmack an, der aber gleich von der Hopfenbitterkeit und dem Alkohlgeschmack kassiert wird. Das Bier ist von Anfang bis Ende trocken. Schon bin ich beim Abgang, dem wichtigen Teil des Bieres. Hier kommt Zitrone und Grapefruit dominant, die Erde schmecke ich nur, weil ich danach aufgrund des Saazer Hopfens suche. Die 48IBU sind aus meiner Sicht untertrieben - die Bitterkeit schätze ich höher ein. Die Kohlensäure ist gut getroffen und macht das Bier etwas süffiger, jedoch verhindert die starke Bitterkeit ein zägiges Trinken. Mir ist die Bitterkeit und der Alkohol zu stark ausgeprägt für so ein eigentlich leichtes Bier. Wer sich diese Granate mehrfach schnell ins Hirn klopft, hat bald keines mehr... 05-2019

4.0 Clear (light) golden pour with a decent white head, quite a bit of carboation. Aromas of citra hops, grapefruit, citrus and malt; taste similar with some grass/hay and lemon. Pleasant bitter aftertaste. Very nice.

4.1 Bottle from Morrisons. Clear gold, foamy white carbonated head. Citra comes through nice and fresh in aroma with lime and grapefruit notes, some herbs, spice, lemondrop sweets. Taste is quite grassy and grapefruit noted but has more subtle notes of lemon and lime, flora, sweet malts. Quite bitter and drying which offsets the sweetness nicely. Just above medium bodied, creamy texture, fine carbonation. Excellent.

4.2 330ml Bottle at Home 29/06/2019 Floral hoppy and spiced aromas. High carbonation. White head. Clear golden coloured hoppy, citrus and spicy cloves with lots of alcohol present. Initially a little sweet but with a hint of bitterness in a warming and dry full malt finish.

3.6 Bottle at home from Jumbo. Pours an almost clear golden colour with a white, foamy head. Nose is light phenols, citrus zest, candi sugar. Taste is sweet upfront showing notes of candi sugar and booze, but then almost inmediately it turns to bitterish. There are grassy, citric notes and peppery phenols as well. Closes eith a dry, peppery, citric and herbal finish, it’s got a light body and lively carbonation. The hop notes help balance out the base beer’s sweetness and add a nice layer if complexity as well.

3.9 Pine, grapefruit peel, lemon, and biscuit malt. Golden yellow with giant white head. Moderately sweet lemon, lime, biscuit malt, and moderately bitter grapefruit peel and pine flavor. Good body.

3.8 Het basis Duvel bier met toevoeging van Citra hop voor extra tropische fruitigheid én bitterheid. Dat levert een mistig geelkleurig bier op met de welbekende witte forse schuimkraag van fijne structuur. In de zoete geuren van de mout en gist komt inderdaad citrusfruit (grapefruit) en tropisch fruit naar voren. De smaak vind ik zoeter dan verwacht, maar mooi in balans met ook hier weer de fruitigheid. Standaard minnetje bij Duvel bieren vind ik de hoeveelheid koolzuur.

4.5 Disfrutada en 2021 es una de las mejores cervezas belgas que he probado y seguramente en el top 10 de todas las que he tenido suerte de disfrutar. Quizas hasta pueda confundirse con una tripel por su fuerte ABV pero el lupulo sobresale ante el alcohol: es sedosa, de gran aroma y cuerpo completo, opaca y de increible espuma con encaje

3.7 Bottle. It pours bit hazy pale yellow with a white head. Fruity and yeasty hoppy. Light tropical. Notes of gooseberry and light mango. Pale malty sweetness. Light boozy.

4.2 330 ml bottle. Pours amber with light head. Aromas of candied lemon, honey, beeswax, floral hops, and wheaty malts. Flavors follow same with additional boiler banana skin and emphasis on floral. Excellent.

3.6 Bottle, 9.5%. Sweaty and nicely spicy hop aroma. Cloudy yellow colour. Very big stable white head. The flavour starts off with a little sweat like the aroma, followed by a refreshing lemony note. Light-bodied, but creamy mouthfeel.

3.3 330ml bottle. Pours a dark straw with white head. Huge nose full of citrus, zest, and a dominant lemon note. Medium body with the same string lemon note at the front. Hints of bitterness with citrus, zest and soft residual sugar. Such a strong lemon note all the way through which is detracting from the other components of the beer.
