3.4 Bottiglia BBE 5-2017 bevuta 2-2017. Il gusto al naso riporta al fruttato, al citrico ed al limone. L’intensità olfattiva è elevata e la persistenza olfattiva è apprezzabile. Il cappello di schiuma ha una buona tenuta, è persistente, abbondante, voluminosa, con merletti finali e dalla lunga persistenza. Le bollicine sono grandi. La carbonazione è abbondante. La consistenza del liquido è limpida. Il perlage è costituito da bollicine medio-fini. La carbonazione è persistente ed insistita. Il colore è giallo dorato. Il corpo è strutturato non pesante. L’amaro è deciso. L’intensità gustativa è elevata e la persistenza gustativa è buona. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali finali sono alcoliche. Il finale è complesso. Il retrogusto è di media intensità. In bocca l’aroma restituisce sentori di miele, resina, alcol molto presente e malto caramellato. [Bevuta in parallelo con Duvel Tripel Hop 2016 (HBC-291) (A 6. A 3. T. 6. P. 3. O. 3.1). Il gusto al naso si riconosce nel pepe. L’intensità olfattiva è normale e la persistenza olfattiva è sufficiente. Il cappello di schiuma ha una buona tenuta, è persistente, abbondante, voluminosa e con pizzo finale. Le bollicine sono medie. La consistenza del liquido è limpida. Le bollicine sono medio-fini. La carbonazione è media e persistente. Il colore è giallo dorato. Il corpo è strutturato ma duttile. L’amaro è deciso. L’intensità gustativa è elevata e la persistenza gustativa è buona. Il retrogusto è intenso. Sul palato arrivano percezioni di miele, etilico, caldo e alcol presente.]

4.0 Colore oro opalescente. Schiuma bianca, cremosa e persistente. All’ olfatto profumi fruttati di arancia, pesca gialla ealbicocca. Finale amaro ed erbaceo. Corpo medio, frizzantrzza molto vivida, alcool ben camuffato. Fa 9.5 gradi ma è bevibile come un succo di frutta. Una grande birra.

Taste starts medium sweet toasted and grainy, following is yeasty and citric, mouthfeel is spicy, warming and alcoholic, while finish is moderate bitter. 3.5 Bottle at Ölrepubliken, august 3rd 2016. CLear golden body with a big white head. Aroma is fruity with biscuit and spices. Herbal citric taste with bread, quite hoppy and bitter. Mild alcoholic in finish, with a juicy hoppy end. Nice, though no match for the regular Duvel.

3.5 33cl bottle at home. Appearance: pale straw with medium white head. Aroma: lime, flowers, something savory, sweet malts and yeast. Taste: medium sweetness and high bitterness. Notes of lime, grapefruit, some flowers and caramel. Palate: medium bodied, watery texture and lively carbonation.

3.7 Bottle @ home from Tripel Hops Tasting Box from Cash Flandre Artois, Auchy-les-Mines. Color: clear golden blond beer with medium carbonation and medium white foam. Smell: grassy and floral, caramel malt, bitter and small alcohol hint. Good balance. Taste: medium body with strong malt backbone balanced with grassy and floral bitterness. Really nice. Good attenuation. Highly drinkable. Aftertaste: wet bitterness, floral and alcohol.

3.6 Bottle at Nialls. Pours golden, nose is grapefruit, yeasty, caramel, little herbal, taste is sweet, citrus, dry toffee. Guessed Equinox

3.2 Version 2015 de la triple hop, avec le houblon equinox en valeur comme troisième houblon. Un classique 9,5 % abv. Mon exemplaire était à 9 mois avant date. Couleur doré moyen brillant, à la clarté nette, pure. Bulles fines, par milliers, en fontaine centrale très vive. Mousse blanche assez crémeuse, stable à 8 mm. Arômes de malt clair, zeste de citron, poivre blanc, aubépine. Joli nez. 1ère bouche souple, à l’entame sur une amertume incisive, mais de style. Arrière-bouche un peu herbeuse, mais assez complexe. 2ème où on trouve du citron, mais aussi de la colle à bois !! Arrière-bouche qui est trop pinçante, pas équilibrée. 3ème où le niveau global baisse encore un peu. Arrière-bouche qui donne une amertume sur des baies âcres. Longueur où on revient à un équilibre très correct, mais c’est un peu tard, et on se demande bien pourquoi cette bière varie ainsi !! Jambes assez huileuses. Levure fine, un peu épicée, belle ligne. Alcool qui n’écrase pas le sujet, comme dans d’autres triple hop... Finale vraiment jolie et agréable. CONCLUSION : equinox et paradoxe semblent faire bon ménage, à défaut de rimer. Vous avez dit bizarre ? Non j’ai dit "équinoxe paradoxe" .. Tiens donc, vous êtes né près d’Anvers, à proximité de la brasserie Duvel … Eeee, oui, c’est bien cela, mais comment l’avez-vous deviné ??

3.4 Bottle split at CBC Clerko tasting, thanks to Brian, 07/07/16. Light yellow with a well appointed off white crown of bubbles. Nose is pissy citrics, straw, spruce, bitter lemon, orange peel, hay. Taste comprises yeast esters, straw, tangerine, light candied fruit peel, lemon tang. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light hop tickle. Probably my least favourite of the series but a drinkable number none the less.

3.7 KRS 040616. Golden colour with a white head. Aroma is yeast, malt, sugar. Flavour is yeast, malt, sugar, hop, pine, bread, alcohol, dried fruit. Full body. Nice beer.

W smaku pojawia si? te? lekki posmak mydlany.Goryczka równie? delikatna, ponownie pieprzowa, sucha. Wysycenie wysokie, mo?e by?. Bardzo du?y plus za perfekcyhnie schowany alkohol.Uwagi: dobra, ale i tak jedna ze s?abszych wersji tego kultowego piwa.

3.6 Bottle. Looks like ordinary Duvel - great :). In aroma citrus and pepper. In taste dry, lightly sweet with peach and citrus notes. Medium body, lively carbonation, finish is medium bitter and spicy.

2.7 Farven er klar og meget lys gylden. Skumkronen er livlig hvid. Aromaen er malt, krydret og syrlig medens smagen er frisk lys malt. Mangler i den grad humle! Når Duvel reklamerer for at der er humle i, så skal man også kunne smage dette.

3.3 Bottle at home. Pours light golden with big head. Aroma is herbal hoppy with notes of honey. Flavor is bitter hoppy ale with some booze. Pretty nice but not that great.

3.3 0.33l bottle. Golden body, white head. Aroma of bread, hay and orange peel with some earthy and herbal hops. Taste of bread, honey,, lemon zest and lots of medicinal hops. As a matter of fact the medicinal character is a bit too much for me. Not bad, but definitely not the best from this series.

3.4 Bottle @ home shared by Thompson. Clear golden color, medium to full sized white head that lasts for a decent while. After pouring in the last bit of the bottle some yeast makes the beer hazy. Decently hoppy aroma, though not the fruity hops I really love. Decent nonetheless. Taste malts, hops, herbal spicy hop bitter, moderate bitter finish. Average to decent body and carbonation.

Wild & Wonderful.Der Equinoxhopfen sofort da um eine wundervolle Allianz mit der belgischen Hefe zu bilden. Ich trank meine 1,5 Jahre alte Flasche komplett gesudet, vielleicht erhielt das Bier hierdurch seinen vollen schäumenden Korpus!? Weitere Schlagwörter, die mir beim Genuss des Elixiers durch den Kopf schossen: GRASY/AGGRESSIV/HOT/WILDER HONIG/KRÄUTERGRANATE/SCHNEIDENDE AROMEN/DIE CITRUSFEE......FOR LOVERS. Aus Belgien, erhältlich in jeden grösseren Supermarkt, für schlappe 1,50 ....in etwa. AGAIN: Jetzt fast 3 Jahre alt...10/4/9/5/19 Nerdy Funko Imperial Goldie. Filigran ölig, spritzig blumig & 👽🍄❤ ..anscheinend noch besser :)...

3.4 Piwo złote, lekko opalizujące. Pana wysoka, średniopęcherzykowa, dość trwała, Lepi szkło. W aromacie słodowo, cytrusowo i ziołowo. Ciekawe połączenie tripla z lekką nową falą. W smaku lekka goryczka z kontrą słodową. Ciało średnie. Dość pijalne. Pozytywne zaskoczenie.

3.8 Bottle 33cl, home. Nice citrus hops and fruity aroma with a lively pillowy head. Finely carbonated. Beautiful light golden color and quite clear. Light sweet, heavy bitter at first sip, after that way more fruity.

3.1 July 2016 - Bottle share at Craft Beer Co Islington as ’Duvel Tripel Hop 5: Equinox’, 9.5%. Many thanks to Bryan for this. Hazy yellow, highly sparkling, big foamy white head, thick lacing. Aroma is soapy, lemon sweets, almost something sulphurous. Not great. Body is light, spritzy carbonation, foamy. Taste is chalky, spicy, soap, light floral, some booze showing up. (3.1)

3.8 Coffret tasting box 2016. Acheté à Tabac&co palais des bières dans famiflora à dottignies. Bouteille de 33 cl. #5 du coffret. Couleur dorée. mousse présente mais juste un col. Au nez arôme floral !!!! En bouche pamplemousse très présent et directement en plus !! (c?est mon avis) Citron vert je dirais même des zeste de citron vert (peu être ??) Très bon travail j’aime beaucoup !

4.2 Due to being revised annually, this extra strong ale is a limited edition find with unique flavours that vary from year to year. It?s made with 3 hop varieties, the third hop being the one that changes. This year brought us Equinox as the third hop, giving this beer a noticeably herbal and sweet citrus aroma/profile. Grapefruity flavour stood out for me. Finish is bitter and more peppery. Pours cloudy golden yellow like normal Duvel with a really large foamy head, crispy and quite carbonated. It?s definitely on the strong side, but very drinkable, refreshing, and without losing the style of traditional Duvel. Really enjoyable, would recommend trying this if you can still spot a bottle on the shelves.
