For this 2014 edition, our brewers have selected Mosaic. This new US hop variety enhances the beer with a tangerine sweetness, hints of tropical fruit and an interesting blueberry flavour.

3.9In addition to bitterness in flavor and taste are present different exotic fruits - citrus and mango. The aftertaste is sweet and bitter and very pleasant.
3.9F: huge, white, long lasting.
C: yellow to pale gold, light hazy.
A: pineapple, blueberries, tangerines, fresh hops, floral, hint of grapefruit.
T: malt, tangerine, blueberries, pears, tropical fruits, hint lemon, grapes, medium to full body, good carbonation, yes I like this beer, tasted as a Duvel Tripel Hop #4, 0,33l bottle from Delhaize supermarket in Oostende.
4.0From Belgium in a Box. In Teku glass. Playing Magic 2015. Very citrusy, with some herbal notes and even slightly acidic. Nice but I prefer the normal duvel over this one. At least this is one of the Duvel Tripel Hips were the additional hop is easily noticeable. Generates a bit too much foam, requiring 2 pours.
2.80.33 bottle. Pours in golden yellow colour with medium size white head. Aroma of basement, old cheese, some flower notes. Medium sweetness, low bitterness. Medium body, thick feel, quite strong alcohol aftertaste with sweet honey notes.
2.50.3 bottle. Pours intense yellow color with medium white head. Aroma of hops, yeast, fruits. Flavor is high sweet, medium bitter, decent alcohol. Light to medium body, average carbonation. Finish is medium long, sweet . Not balanced and not pleasant at all.
Gut!
3.7Bottle at Nialls. Pours golden, nose is toffee, grapefruit, caramel, taste is grapefruit, pithy orange, guessed citra
3.4Bottle:   Hazy straw, dirty dishwater white head, spotty lacing.   A little musty hoppiness, a bit of citrus peel and floral hoppiness.   Similar on the tongue.   Bitterness is minor, carbonation is lively.   Hides the 9+ ABV very well.   Comes across as a slightly hoppy musty IPA.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Finishes with a hoppy bang, but not so much in bitterness.   Has that Belgian mustiness to it that you can’t get anywhere else.   A bit mixed as it has the flavor profile of an IPA but not so much on the hoppiness.   A bit more musty like, as to be expected.   However, it sure is clean.   Entertaining at least.   Two worlds that sometimes dont mix well, but this one was done fairly reasonably.
4.2Kolor z?oty z delikatnymi pomaranczowymi przeblyskami, nieznacznie m?tny.
Smak: pieprz, lekka przyprawowo?? i sporo owoców. Ponownie sporo cytrusów, jest grapefruit cytryna, limonka, jest borówka i lekka nuta tropików. Jest s?odko z lekko kwaskow? kontr?. Grapefruitowa, sucha goryczka.
Wysycenie wysokie, pasuje, alkohol idealnie schowany.
3.7The 666th rating of this beer. Win. Bottle share at Craft Beer Co Islington as ’Duvel Tripel Hop #4: Mosaic’, 9.5%. Many thanks to Bryan. Clear yellow, sparkling, foamy white head leaves thick lacing. Aroma is rubbery, citrussy, melon, lemongrass, dried hop flowers. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is much smoother than the others in the series. Floral, citrus hops, biscuity malts, soft alcohol. The best in the series by quite a way for me – has the best balance at least. I would revisit this one, but not so the others.
3.8Bottle at fins... Golden amber... Massive white head... Dry zezty custardy fruits nose... Sharp dry zezty fruits.. Zezty sharp fruit... Peppery zezty finish
3.1Coffret tasting box 2016.
Tuoksu hieman tunkkainen, runsaan viinikumimainen, vaalean maltainen ja valkoviinimäinen. Maku jatkaa samalla linjalla. Hieman tunkkainen, sitrusmainen, kohtalaisesti hiilihappoja.
3.8Bottle shared at Craft Beer Co Islington - London. Many thanks to Bryan! Pours clear yellow with a foamy, white head. Lovely snout, light dank hops, some citrus, melon. Medium sweet flavour with more melon, grapefruit. Medium bodied with average, massaging carbonation. Lightly warming to finish, with fresh and juicy hop character, juicy citrus, light pale bread. Good stuff.
3.7Bottle at Craft Islington, thanks to Bryan. It pours clear gold with a thick, foamy white head. The aroma is fresh, juicy, orange, tangerine, light pine and white bread. The taste is crisp, dry, fresh tangerine, orange, bread, grass, alcohol heat and tropical fruit punch. Medium body and big, foamy carbonation. Fresh and juicy. Easily my favourite out the range I tried.
4.1Golden colour, with a samll head that fades soon, but leaves a ring all the while, and some lace. Aroma has some tropical fruit (other reviews said lychee, it may be), resine, cannabis of some sweet variety, oranges. Medium body, lively carbonation, slick palate. Taste of oranges, hops, troipical fruits, grass. ENd is bitter, but there’s some sweetnes in it. Having taste only the 2013 version before, I love the triple hops froms Duvel.
3.8Bottle from Cork & Cask. Clear golden body with a medium white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of mango, cannabis and tangerine. Flavour of ’green’ hops, watermelon, nettles and orange. Medium body with a spritzy mouthfeel. Lively fizz. I love Mosaic (it’s probably my favourite hop) but when combined with Saaz and Styrian Goldings it loses some of it’s tropical fruit punch.
4.4Pours medium yellow, opaque, with a thick white foam subsiding slowly. Scent is dense, pure, continuous hops with full bitterness and full flavor. Taste is consistent continuous hopped and full mosaic flavor. Finish is a little dry. Dense beer and very strong flavor. Fantastic.
Body is medium. Een iets hoppiger Duvel, dat is het.
3.8Blind-tasted as part of saveur biers tasting pack.Hazy pale straw, white creamy head bout 1-2 fingers, sticky lacing. Aroma is fresh with citrus, winey notes, lime mild blackcurrant. Flavor is medium bitter, mildly sour, light body, mild fruity sweetness, finish dries to citrus bitterness, standard carbonation, crisp and fresh. Dry, frsh, crisp, refreshing. I would try this with fish.
4.0Bottle of 33cl, in a Duvel glass; from the fridge.
I’ve tasted this beer a lonbg time ago, so my memories may not be so right. I know that i’ve loved the aroma and taste, beacause of it’s fruity notes...
Great one
4.0Découverte dans le coffret Tripel Hop. Couleur jaune clair, et mousse très blanche. Au nez elle sent les fleures fraiches. Au goût elle est douce et fruitée. Bonne dégustation.
4.2Big frothy head, more or less clear colour. The mosaic is very pronounced in the aroma. Very herbal and earthy smell, Belgian yeast also is apparent. But the hops is the dominating thing here, making it also smell really refreshing.
Beer is rather highly carbonated and is prickly on the tongue. The belgian yeast flavour is the first thing one tastes but is followed by a load of herbal, grassy and earthy flavours from the hops which lingers for a really long time. The alcohol makes it slightly warming. Excellent beer showcasing one of my favourite hops varieties.
3.6Now rebrewed as Tripel Hop no 4, nose has light caramel, hints of orange, mint and melon, dry-bitter and lightly fruity, peppery hoppiness, bitter-sweet finish.
3.8Aroma:
Medium aroma of malts, caramel, Belgian yeast, tropical fruit, hops and soap.
Appearance:
Clear/hazy yellow/golden beer with a medium/large white head.
Taste/Palate:
Starts medium sweet with malts, caramel, Belgian yeast and tropical fruit; ends slightly bitter with hops and soap.
Overall:
This beer is intense, complex and balanced. Those Mosaic hops add the right amount of fruit and bitterness. Shamefully the appearance is not that good, being very clear. Thankfully the head and flavour are great.
