Decent biere de gard with nice malts. Reminds me of Yeungling.

Bouche à carbonation moyenne alcool assez sensible. Douce , assez ronde sur le caramel et le citron vert, mais avec une amertume légèrement métallique
50cl in can, in Rennes France (22 III 2019), as Jenlain Ambrée - BB 7 III 2020. This commercial brew has no real surprise in petto. Persistant alcohol taste, off-coloured clear orange to copper brew with firm yet uneven white to beige head, malts character. The looks are quite unnatural. The nose is not that bad at first sight, hinting at a spiritful drink with rye and even whisky notes. Yet some medicinal hints in the back aren't satisfactory. But all in all, quite an intruiging start. The mouthfeel is heavy alcoholic, even gingerlike warming and somewhat dusty as mouthfeel with medium carbonation and slight malt characterization. The caramel feeling and sweetish sugar are overwhelming. Maybe there is some peach in there as well, even honey. This just feels like a boozy alcoholic canned beer, alas, too much empowered to be considered to the gentle art of bière de garde beers. The finish is pleasantly dry, with - again - ginger plus hops dashes. This amber malt-backboned ale has some treats for sure, but it has too much horsepower under the hood to be really interesting.
Color naranja oscuro casi granate, transparente. Espuma hueso, abundante, de burbuja grande y escasa retención. Aroma a maltas tostadas, fruta madura como ciruela y plátano, miel y caramelo. Sabor a maltas, miel, algo de vino y madera, entra dulce y tiene un final agradable de amargor herbal, alcohol bien integrado, con los tragos aumenta el amargor y la presencia de alcohol. Textura acuosa. Carbonatación alta.
Degustada de tiro en una terraza en Saumur.
Dorada, espuma blanca, poco duradera. Sabor a pan tostado, no alcohólica y dulzor moderado. Sabor discreto, fácil de beber.
Nez faible de caramel et métallique (obtenue en canette)
Robe translucide de couleur ambre.
Jolie mousse de courte tenue.
En bouche c'est du caramel, de la cannelle et un goût orangé sympathique.
500ml can. Pours amber with a tall off-white head. Aroma is caramel, yeast, bread. Taste is medium sweet, pale malt, dried fruit, toasted notes light bitterness, small alcohol kick.
Pours darker orange with some off white head on the top. Cloudy. Nose is kind of soapy, malts and some perfume. Taste sweet, nice farmhouse thing and malty base with some residue sugar there. Easy to drink, lots of caramel and lots of sweetness there. Not sure I like that bit but overall, yes, this is what I expect from an Ambree.

Gute Aromen auf feinem Körper
Robe ambrée profond, orange limpide. Mousse moyenne et éphémère. Un nez malté, sur le caramel, très légèrement torréfié. En bouche, c'est très rond, sans être trop sucré. Des notes de malt subtilement grillé. Du caramel, et un très petit côté liquoreux. Un classique.
Bursztynowe klarowne piwo z niezłą pianą, która dość szybko opada. Aromat głównie słodowy, trochę chlebowy, nuty karmelu. W smaku podobnie, brak nut chmielu, dominują nuty słodowe, jest karmel, trochę toffi. Finisz lekko słodkawy. Dobry przykład stylu.
750ml Corked Bottle from Vival Supermarket, Salviac, Lot, France. Bright amber coloured with a thick white head of foam. It has a burnt toffee and dried fruit flavour with red fruity notes of plum and currants on the smooth, warming finish. Good, but the ABV is too high for the flavour.
750 ml bottle. Pours with an almost clear, dark amber color and a white head. Caramel and yeasty aroma, followed by sweet-maltyness. Less sweet than expected, toffee, roasted malts with some herbal hopps at the end.

20180404 -- 0.5l can from geant casino in st louis, 1.70€. pours a clear deep amber with a medium off-white head. head. aroma of raisins, caramel, creme brulee, vanilla, malts, hay. flavour of caramel, nuts, grass. bittersweet finish. chewy and light at the same time. ok, I guess.
Gives me amazing dreams. Very fruity and doesn't taste like it is 7.5%. Wonderful with cheese and saucison.
Pours semi-clear, somewhat lighter amber. Medium sized white head hasn't got a lot of stability. Smell is rich, thick, malty, tad bready, mild undertone of hops. Taste is full, tad sweet, malty, bready, caramel, easy drinkable. Very sweet, yet very well paired with it's bitterness, so it's still drinkable. Enjoyable beer for sure.
Normaalne, ambree kohta natuke liiga kibe
Mousse crème, couleur caramel très clair. Arôme caramel, citron, malts. En bouche c'est plus léger que sur les arômes, caramel, à peine le citron, une pointe d'amertume. Cette bière connue depuis les années 70 est construite pour un vaste panel de palais, de ce fait, ni industrielle, ni vraiment artisanale, cette bière convient pour un instant convivial, peut être pour faire découvrir une bière de garde, 75 Cl Carrefour
Clear gold with white head. Aroma fruity and grainy. Taste grainy with citrus notes. Nice.

Crystal clear copper to orange body with a white head that sticks to the glass. Quite strong aroma of pale malts and noble hops. What? This isn't a lager, is it? Also some spices. Moderate flavour of lager-like pale malts, and citrus, with spices and metal in the back. Light sweet taste with a long-lasting moderate bitter finish. Light body, dry texture, moderate carbonation. A strange creation.

Nice colour. A bit flat to the taste. Caramel and citrus. Fading a bit but ok aftertaste
Stronger beer, aromatic, solid taste but not much different than Leffe and other French beers.
Pours amber with medium white head. Aroma is old, some malts, sourish, some fruits, light sweetness, some acid notes, minerals. Taste is hay, grapes, fruits, berry wine, some bitterness, fruity hops, minerals, light caramel. Good beer!
