Edge Flor de la Vida

Edge Flor de la Vida

Much like many an English Pale Ale this is a golden-to-copper colored beer delivering a medium malt profile. But then it’s hop forward personality is revealed--citrus and floral aromas should take over after the initial malt flavor dissipates to leave a crisp finish. 12°

3.8 Flaska från Boxbeer drucken med ölföreningen. Fina kakig kropp som knns väldigt gediget engelsk, till det en rejäl humlegiva med blommig citrus och rejölt bett i beskan. Snygg.
2.5 Bottle. Lovely deep golden colour with thin, white head. I don’t much care for the aroma, there are notes of raspberry which isn’t nice with the malty caramel. Feels quite watery, medium carbonation with a bitter finish. Quite balanced flavour. Not their best effort.
3.4 Draft at Edge, RBESG 2016. Clear amber with a white head. Aroma of fruity hops, herbal hops, light weeds and nettles. Flavour is light sweet and above moderate bitter. Light medium bodied with soft carbonation. [08-07-2016]

3.3 Clear dark golden with white head. Light skunky hops, Flowers and caramel. Light milky sweet and herbal bitter. Medium bodied. Meh.
2.9 Bottle @ home. Clear orange color, medium to full sized white head. Aroma is malts, light caramel, hops, light butter. Taste malts, dusty hops, lightly butter again unfortunately (although best before June 2017, so should be good I’d say), lightly floral. Average body and carbonation. Meh.
3.3 Pours cloudy golden amber with low white head. Aroma of light citrus, malt, light caramel. Taste is lightly bread sweet up front followed by a medium bitter finish. Light and smooth body with soft carbonation.
3.2 4.7%ABV. Pale Ale. Poured out gold 4ºSRM. Nose is sweet and light. There is a fresh dough aroma. Mouthfeel is soapy. Palate is lager with pale malt, water biscuits, raw peanuts and unbleached almonds. Hops are lightly bitter. There is a spicy finish to the hops that are Thai basil and cilantro and maybe some mint. Overall palate comes over as a Pilsner.
3.8 Kicsi, de nagyon tartós hab, félbarna szín. Finom illat, narancs, mandarin és virágos, fűszeres aromák. Fisszafogott ízintenzitás, keserű, gyanta, némi gyümölcsösség. Jól kiegyensúlyozott, selymes sör, alacsony karbonációval.
2.4 Tap c4. Pours hazy amber with a white head. Aroma of fruit, grainy, light pear, licorice root, caramel, light citrus. Taste is malty, caramel, licorice, fruity. Light bitter
3.5 Aroma is hop resin, citrus, tea and bread/malts. The flavor is hops, spices, tea, citrus, malts, mild sweetness and a mix of bitter, slightly dirty and a hint of heat in the finish.
4.2 From XXXII. In Teku glass. After dinner. Earthily hoppy, with some fruityness. Excellent nose and great taste. Really drinkable. Low ABV but thanks to the hops its body doesnt feel weak at all
3.6 Bottle at Fly in the Loaf Liverpool. Clear orange gold very over carbonated. Took ages to pour. Quite a light apa. Some peach fruit some grapefruit. Light bitterness. I have never had a beer pour like this. Good beer apart from the carbonation. Some yeast character. Good.
3.4 Moderate, lemony-limey aroma, with a touch of hay/cut grass behind it. Poured with a good frothy head, which lasted well. Lacing was excellent in the glass. The beer is clear as anything, and a very attractive light yellow colour. Agreeably bitter hoppy flavour in both the initial taste, and the finish, balanced out by a subtle but detectable maltiness. Light-bodied and dry. Lively carbonation.
3.3 Bottle enjoyed at home Copper hazy, frothy white head. Smell of citrus, orange zest, candy, spices, malts. Moderate sweet, alot of citrus, quite inviting, refreshing. Medium bitter, zesty tail
3.4 Bottle. Slight gusher... Hazy amber body with a massive off-white head. No visible carbonation. Patchy lacing. Aroma of blood orange, freshly cut grass and caramel. Flavour of grapefruit, spicy hops and lime. Medium body with a frothy mouthfeel. Very fizzy. Raw and aggressively hopped. Tastes bigger than 4.7% ABV.
3.6 Nice classy apa. Lovely orange golden color with a fine creamy off white head. Good intensity in the aroma. Medium body and an ok carbonation. Good balance between sweetness and bitterness. Citric, toffee and fruity flavor. Flavor last a long time. [On tap at Union Scene in Drammen, Norway]
3.5 Bottled, 330ml from BeerMerchants, Kent. Hazy gold with white head. This proved to be a pleasantly light, clean tasting golden beer, hints of zesty grapefruit, citrus, hoppy flavours. Crisp with just a slight malty sweetness. Very pleasant.

Ocena potraktowana skryptem do przeliczania ocen (uzgodnienie UT/RB).
3.1 Sampled at The Festival 2015 in St. Pete with Vinny. Pours a hazy golden body with thick head. Mouthfeel is dry and bitter with notes of soft citrus fruits, clean malt and ash. Pretty muted pale ale overall.
3.3 Keg at Friends of Ham, Leeds. Hazy light amber shade. Short white head, lacing. Hoppy notes throughout with lots of herbal and grassy character plus some pithy citrussy notes. Pretty decent but I don’t think it all comes together perfectly.
3.5 Draught @ Haket. Pours tiny burnt drop yellow / golden with a creamy offwhite head that leaves some sticky lacing on the glass while dissipating. Smell is grassy and slightly floral with crackers, grapefruit juice, moist grass, pine needles, dandelions and lemon zest. Taste is slightly sweet, bitter, grassy and floral. Mouthfeel is soft, round, tiny astringent and medium bodied. Finish is slightly sweet and bitter with white bread, grapefruit juice, mango, moist grass, dandelions, rocket salad, honey and lemon zest. Rather sweet and floral but in everyday solid and quite enjoyable.
3.6 Keg in the Grove, Huddersfield. Pours a slightly hazy pale gold with a nice dense off white head. Mild pineapple aroma. The taste is grapefruit with some bready yeast notes. Nice, but not outstanding.
