2.2 Bottle - Pale yellow with a thin white head. Nose is mineral, berry, pear juice, and a little wheat. Taste is dry mineral and berry, with corn and wheat. Harsh carbonation with a thin body. Watery taste and body.
2.6 i’ve tried this a couple times and decided it’s totally avoidable other than a very soft mouthfeel that doesn’t seem to fot the beer, but is there nonetheless. weak wheat and a nice refreshing sweet tart berry aspect. ok."
2.3 bottle @ Jungle Jim’s / Eastgate OH --- Clear rich-looking medium amber, thin rim head, no lace. Taste is wheat malt that has a light, but definite, berry overtone. Everything is markedly understated, to the point of being thin and watery. Simple thirst quencher, not much more.
2.5 Bomber. Pours a clear pale gold with a small white head. Aroma of fruit and grain. Taste is berry (acai?), fruit, wheat, and malt. Very thin and mild. Not offensive.
3.0 Fresh 12 oz bottle with an updated label. Amber; weak head despite fairly high visible carbonation. Feel: medium-light body; medium-high carbonation. Dry finish. Flavor: good, nearly neutral sweet/bitter balance. Very fruity, with the acai berries nearly masking the malts. Lingering fruity flavor. Aroma: very fruity; natural fruit; subtle bready malt base. O: worth tryig for acai flavor.
2.0 Tastes like a cheap soda. Aroma of olives. Very strong berry flavor but without a natural taste. Slight bitter aftertaste. Doesn’t linger on the tongue. I appreciate interesting flavors in beers/ales, but this wasn’t one of them.
3.1 bottle. golden with small head. light bodied wheat with some mild acai flavor. a tad sweet. not bad for what it is.
2.8 Sample from a 12 oz. bottle brought by a rep into Boulders on Broadway. Pours a pale clear gold with a small white ring. Notes of sweet berries, sugars, and wheat. Not much to it; artificial in character. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a sweet mouthfeel. Not terrible, but not my thing.
2.8 An orange hazy color. Didn’t get much head, but there is carbonation. There’s a hint of sweetness and it is a mouthful, but if I down it...I can reclaim some of the flavor. In slow sips, not so much. I would drink again, but have had better.
3.4 A: Hazy Orange/Golden Straw Hue, Passes Some Light, White Head Ring, No Lacing S: Wheat, Strawberries T: Lemon, Wheat, Mild Strawberry M: Average Carbonation, Light to Medium Bodied, Semi Drying Overall, the beer is pretty true to style and dry instead of sweet, very drinkable.
2.3 Bottle. Pours a light yellow-gold with a thin, fast-disappearing head. Nose is faintly berry-ish with overtones of metal and yeast. No sweetness on the tongue; there’s some berry on the palate, but it’s mostly an extremely light wheat beer with a very hollow midsection. Mostly absent finish. My wife said ’Hey, you got a chick beer!’ and that might be insulting most women I know, but it’s inoffensive enough.
3.9 Pours gold with white head. Smell is wheaty and a touch of berries. Taste is very wheaty and a dry berry flavor. A bit over carbonated. Very Crisp and wheaty. I like it.
2.1 Pours a clear light copper color with a clean aroma. Lots of bubbles and carbonation in this beer. Taste is very simple, refreshing with no complex taste. A decent berry tinge to the whole beer.
2.4 Bottle 355ml @ Hotel Room, Quality Inn Santa Ynez Valley, Buellton, CA Pours slightly hazy golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, wheat and sweet berries. Taste is light sweet and light bitter with some berries in the finish. Body is light, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.
2.1 Bottle. Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of dark berries and wheat with some fruitiness. Flavor is sweet berries and wheat with some caramel and malt. Medium body, average carbonation.
2.0 Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel Florentin. Thanks Tom L. Pours an hazy yellow with a small head, aroma is sweet with chocolate, nuts and musk, flavor of strawberry jam, light bodied
2.1 Gold, small white head. Sweet aroma; I suppose there is a touch of wheat there. Taste is rather dull. Just a trace of what must be acai berry; a bit like artificial raspberry flavour. Slight dryness. The whole thing is one-dimensional. My first beer since May, and I should have chosen a better one.
1.9 At a tasting, thanks Tom, a touch hazy lemon yellow colour, aroma of wheat and berry fruit with a touch of spice, flavour of cooked berries and cardboard. Bland and flat, quite bad.
1.5 Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel Florentin. Thanks Tom L. Hazy golden. Aroma of wheat, a bit of fruitiness, strange graininess and a weird off-flavor, a bit chocolate-like. Grainy flavor with wheat, some fruitiness and weird off-flavors. A faint hint of bitterness in the finish. Really watery body, feels almost non-existent. Quite awful.
3.2 Local Kroger mixed 6 pack. I am glad this did not taste like artificial/chemical flavoring. I actually thought the fruit notes were fairly muted. Refreshing but the base beer actually seemed like a lager to me. Fine.
2.7 This cloudy gold beer smells strongly if berries. It has a mildly sweet taste. It it's not nearly as sweet as you would expect when you smell it.
2.7 Light beer with basically no flavors. Carbonation is strong and refreshing. There is no hint of acai berry at all, but still tastes good on a hot summer day.
2.2 Clear light golden coloured body with some slight caramel coloured tints and a soapy, one centimetre tall off-white head - not so good. Aroma of yeast, bread, berries and very little else - not so good and not complex at all. Light-bodied; Sharp malty flavour with hints of light berry flavour, some mild sweetness and an earthy pungent flavour that is quite bitter. Aftertaste shows the bitterness play off the fruit and leave just about nothing on the palate. Overall, a pretty bad offering with no good fruit flavours nor wheat tastes at all - not really worth trying, even if you really like fruit beers! I sampled this stubby twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in Tustin, California on 02-May-2013 for US$1.79 sampled at home in Washington on 04-June-2031 two days before heading back out to Southern California.
2.5 Alight. It’s berry:30. Super sweet all around. aroma was super strong at first then died down a bunch. Copper color. No head stuck around. It’s wheaty and citrus packed with not much of anything after the initial sweet burst. Looks tastier than it actually is. Not berry good.
2.5 Bottle from Beers Of Europe.Clear yellow pour with non lasting small white head.Fruity nose of blueberry with some hay.Artificial blueberry taste with a little light malt.
3.5 draft, nobi, sample .. . pours a very clear light yellow .. huge tiny bubbled head, mild lacing .. . very light mouth .. blueberry and raspberry with hay .. very refreshing, the ultimate summer beer but doesn’t have much substance .. . . http://www.hulu.com/watch/15504
3.4 Bottle. Pours a decent cheddar yellow with a nose of Frankenberry cereal. Flavor is Frankenberry muffins. Average mouthfeel. Not bad. Better than the ratings indicate.
2.7 22 oz bottle shared. Pours golden and a little hazy with a one-finger white head that dissipates quickly with no lacing. Smells like candy, sweet and fruity, kind of like an energy drink. Pretty sweet, wheat flavor with very light hop bitterness. Light body with a thin texture, somewhat lively carbonation but finishes flat. Crisp, clean and dry. Not bad.
2.6 Bottle from Bevmo: Created the most tiniest head I have seen formed in quite some time while the liquid was a standard golden blonde. Aroma is grainy and smells of hay and wheat with evident presence of blueberry. The flavor is simple yet bland with an artificial blueberry taste and a poor usage of grain malt. The acai is also noticed but I think I’d rather have had it at Jamba Juice as a power boost instead of a beer. Nice attempt but I would grade this as a failer.
2.6 Pours clear gold with a sizable white head. Taste and aroma are heavy on the fruit, light on the wheat. My wife summed it up well as "weird".
