3.1 Nice hoppy pilsener. Not extreme and a little on the sweet side but proper value for money
3.3 330mL can. Aromas of grain, light bread, grass, herbs. Clear gold with a mostly lasting white head. Dry, grainy, grassy. Light-medium bodied.
2.3 Pours clear golden with full, white head. Aroma is thin caramel and faint hops. Taste is thin caramel, moving to light pilsner hops. Finish carries the hops. A less-than-desirable pilsner.
4.0 Draft. It poures a light pale yellow with a thin white head. Malty aroma with notes of toast and a bit of floral. It has a light bitterness.
2.2 5l Dose. Klar und golden mit kleiner Schaumkrone. Muffig. Leicht getreidig. Schwacher Körper. Milder Geschmack.
2.7 Clear golden with an average white head. Malty, sweetish, grainy, some straw, low bitterness.
3.1 Can from Wine Warehouse. Pours crystal clear pale gold with a white head. Grassy aroma, somewhat faint. Flavor is green grass, light hose, light dried flowers, dandelion.
2.6 In der Nase etwas plädderich, im Trunk leicht süß, bitterhopfig, leicht wässrig. Geht leicht runter, nicht schlecht aber unspektakulär.
2.5 Sampled from 0.33 l bottle from local 'trinkgut', best before June 2019. Clear, golden with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Just slightly sweetish, moderately grassy-spicy aroma of grains and straw. Slightly sweet, moderately bitter, gently grassy-spicy taste of grains and straw, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly grassy-spicy finish. Almost medium-bodied, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Okay!
2.8 0,33 l Flasche. Hellgelbes Bier, kaum Schaum. Riecht herb, schmeckt dann aber süßlich, kaum herb, viel Kohlensäure.
4.3 Fles 33cl thuis. Würzig bitter, fris, goede nadronk, citrus, hoppig, malttonen. (3-2014).
2.1 0,33l Flasche. Sehr helles Gelb, dünner Schaum. Grassiger Geruch. Ziemlich stumpf. Geschmack nasses Stroh und Getreide. Etwas Hopfen. Nix dolles.
2.2 Strong aroma of sweet, dull honey, also some hops in the back. Clear, straw, some foam wiyh big holes. The taste is still honey-ish, bitterness is medium and gets boring really fast. Watery. No for me.
2.9 Aroma: malt with notes of bread Taste of malt and bread. Very little hops. Bittersweet aftertaste
3.4 Third of a litre on draught. A: Golden, clear, large thick looking head which faded fairly quickly, some lacing clung to the side of the glass. S: Fresh noble hop aroma. T: A high in IBU Pils, gave way to hints of honey and finished bitter. M: Crisp, moderate carbonation. O: Took something from Jever Pils and Keesmann Herren Pils, which fits as it’s between the two places.
2.5 Sehr herbes, hopfig grasiges Pils welches eisgekühlt ab dem dritten durchaus trinkbar ist...
3.6 DOB:? 2015 BJCP Category: 5D German Pils AROMA: Strong skunky smell. Mostly from lightstrike, possibly from Noble hops. Lightly sweet grainy malt base is present as well. Clean fermentation profile. 8/12 APPEARANCE: Brilliantly clear white gold (2-5 SRM). Large white foamy head. Retains and laces well. 3/3 FLAVOR: Medium spicy/peppery Noble hops and minor bitterness. Surprisingly sweet malt taste on the backend with slight graham cracker flavor. Lightstrike was immediately evident on the first swig only. Palette pretty well balanced (though lack of hop dominance could be due to age of bottle). Aftertaste is a little sweet. 14/20 MOUTHFEEL: Medium-light body with medium-high carbonation. Quite crisp, but slightly slick texture. Very sessionable at 4.9% ABV. 4/5 OVERALL IMPRESSION: Definitely on-point for a German Pils. Not bad considering old bottle. Probably amazing fresh. 7/10 TOTAL SCORE: 36/50
3.7 I’ve been drinking this Pils for a little while now, and it’s about time I rated it. I think this brew does an admirable job of offering a very high-quality, fresh, and authentic German Pils to the American market. However, a great Pils should be very sessionable, and i found that Einbecker’s initial class doesn’t really hold up after two or three cold ones. It begins tasting watery and poorly balanced. It is still quite good, but noticeably tired. This is still the best German Pils I can get my hands on, now that the superior Lammsbrau and Tannenzapfle are no longer available. It’s difficult to be wholly impressed after becoming familiar with those two titans.
3.0 Bottle - as Brauherren Pils, new design - golden color, white head. taste is grainy, low sweetness, heavy german bitter hops, medium dry finish. one of the not very refreshing pils beers. typical northern german. okay.
3.3 Bottle. Clear golden looks of a typical Pilsener. Nice head. Aroma is grassy, grainy with a touch of citrus fruits. Taste is grassy, grainy and slightly fruity without being sweet. Some hoppy bitterness. Medium carbonation. Crisp, clean and easy drinking. It’s alright.
2.8 33cl bottle. Clear pale gold, fizzy short-lived white head. Aroma of pils malt and grasses. Taste is pils malt, grass, some apple. I would say it is tangy as noted in the description, and it is also fairly bitter for a pilsener. Decent.
2.8 Grassy and grainy nose and flavor. Typical look and feel for the Euro sub-style. Pretty average across the board, but pleasant enough.
4.5 English: The Brauherren Pils of Einbeck is a refreshing Pilsener with a strong taste of bitterness and light taste of green hops. The beer really good suites the summer and it is really good against thirsty feelings. Brewed at the same brewery of the fames Bock Beer. Worth every penny. Contains hop, hop extract and malts.
2.6 Bottle, golden color with no foam, slight skunky nose, flavor is bready hops. Some metallics, sweet finish
4.1 Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a crystal clear light golden color with a small white head. The aroma is a mild hop scent with some grass or grain added. The taste is a rather big hop flavor with some citrus and salt added. A good Pils.
4.5 On tap. This beer pours a very clear golden yellow with a white head. The aroma is of sweet malt and a bit of floral hops. The taste is clean. It starts off malty and finishes with a nice hop touch. Compared to all the boring, uniform tasting German Pilseners out there, this is a cut above. This is an excellent example of a modern German Pilsener.
3.6 Gotta love how they serve it at Thinking Man - in a ceramic mug, almost a stein. Or does this qualify? Pours clear golden with a nice ivory head. Aroma is crisp, malty, fruity, and strong for a pils. Crisp, malty flavor has pear, apple and hoppy notes - an enjoyable brew. Mouthfeel features firm body and firm, persistent fizz. Prost!
3.6 L: -pours a clear straw golden with a medium, frothy, white head -medium carbonation visible S: -skunk,lemon,grass,spicy,cereal,bready T: -grass,spicy,herbal,pears -finishes dry -medium to high bitterniss for the style F: -medium carbonation -light to medium body O: Good North-German Pilsener
